      Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: tullock is a great lake for smallies,in the begging of may i stuck a couple three pounders and dozens of smaller fish. fishing should still be good throughout the summer in the morning and evening, when the boat pressure is down. dont know to much about the trout fishing but i tried trolling in the beggining of june and got skunked.
      City: riverbank

Tips: for smallies i used a top water popper and a small bleeding bait spinnerbait. later in the morning which is when i caught the bigger fish i used a shallow diving trout pattern crankbait. this time of year i get the best results with light tackle and clear 8 pound test line, it also make the fishing more enjoyable with lite tackle. good luck

Report: Trolled the western shoreline from 7 am to about 10:30 am. Caught 3 keeper Kokanee using pink needlefish behind a dodger at a depth of about 30-35 feet. Switched over to bass fishing at about 11:00 and worked the eastern shoreline, spending most of our time in willow creek cove. Boated, and released, 10 or so spotted bass, all 1 to 2 pounds. T-rigged worms and drop shotting were working for us. Bites ocurred off steep drop-offs. I went out the next day and fished from shore in Dark Day Cove. Caught 3 spotted bass and missed 2 more in about 3 hours fishing plastic worms on a lightweight T-rig. Spots are all over the place, but where are the largemouth?
      City: Vacaville

Tips: Got more bass bites on the smaller baits. They bit nothing but worms, but ocassionally, they would nip at a small tube. The lake is loaded with spotted bass. You can catch big numbers of small spots working points and ledges. I saw bigger fish (maybe 4 pounds plus) cruising in schools just below the surface in Willow Creek, but they were spooky and didn't like anything we had to offer. Based on the spotted bass we were catching, I'm guessing the larger fish we saw were likely smallmouth.

Report: this lake stump's me.. hit or miss...AC has it right..normally I do well ..all dinks...lot's of big fckn carp jumping.. well that's Chesbro..
      City: morgan hill

Tips: the tip..there is none lately..the weather pattern and all of the water being drawn off, I think, and I know they are hanging in 10 to 15...off a drop... ya need to be in 35 ft. there not hanging in the shallows... dropshotting is worthless.. in the wind... you will get the dinks ..most of you count them..I dont...a dink is less than 1.8 pds

      Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Last week clients had a good topwater bite going for most of the outgoing tide, then switch to flippin worms into weed pockets and tule clumps. This week saw the topwater bite fade with the small fronts and wind that have moved in and out. The spinnerbait bite took its place and went strong through the outgoing tide.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Give the fish what they want. Don't be afraid to change.

      Water Temp: perfect for wak

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: "Conituned to fish the North side because the South is loaded with watre Rats, you name it they have it. Jet skis, Ski boats pulling skiers, pulling tubes, pulling thinga-ma-bob's, and wanta-be ski boats just pulling anybody brave enough to hold on for their lives. Back to the fishing.."

Bobby - Why must you refer to others that use Folsom State Park as water rats? You are giving myself, and other that are bass fisherman a bad name by doing so. How would you feel if somebody refered to you as some overweight fat tourney guy that when faced with bass vs. family chooses bass.
      City: Folsom, CA

Tips: C'mpn Bobby...It's summertime at Folsom Lake. What did you expect? Find a lake that has designated 5 mph zones and fish them during this time of year.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: In at Limesaddle at 7:00 and out at 3:00pm.Fished the shade and mudlines in Outhouse Cove and Dark Canyon with a clown pointer 100,Shad colored spinnerbait and Spotspanker 6" worm. Good reaction bite all day, used the worm each time the wind and boats stopped. 34 fish in the boat with two overs and a few rats, most were slots. Boat traffic keeps the shallow bite going if you have the patience to deal with it.

      Water Temp: 60-65 - 82 outs

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Had a great time fishing this beautiful lake for the first time! My buddy Mike and I caught 25+ fish for the day! Tossed the float tubes in about 6:30 down at the shallow end and within 10 minutes Mike had three 1+ pounders landed - but I recovered with my first fish about 15 minutes later at 5+lbs! The rest of the day I got a 3+ and several 1-2 lbers!I won the "big fish" and "most fish" battle between us! Busted out the fly rod for some great panfish action too!
      City: Santa Rosa -&- McKinleyville

Tips: First fished 6" Senko - Black w/Blue Flake for the 5+lber. Switched to purple/brown Roboworm no weight - fished super slow lotsa fish -tons of bites. But the best "quantity" color was by far the brown Roboworm weightless and slow fished - They loved the slow fall and usually hit on the way down or right after the first twitch! Watch your line too - had alot the just picked it up and started to cruise - pay attention!

Report: My good friend Dan Gee took me out in his new 16# Lund. Dan caught a limit before I even got a hit. I just told him that he could catch all the small bass and I would catch the big one. Dan caught 12 bass from 1# to 3#s. And I caught an 8#
2oz on a weightless 5in. watermelon senko at the crest of the 9am high tide.
      City: Frank's Tract area

Tips: Be patient and cast spinnerbaits and senkos between the weed beds as often as possible.

Report: I began the official summer night fishing season with my "catfish king" client from Colorado last night. He is vitising "sunny California" - right? We started at 7 pm with post-front conditions after earlier rain, stiff cold wind though not horrible, fog forming after midnight - and this is all a week before the longest day of the year! I was determined to see him go home happy after a tough week of family boating and cold weather. We caught three before dark in the Rattlesnake arn on worms. I had fun doing what I used to do a lot - "called the fish"! I told him where to cast and said he would catch one - he did! I did it again later at night - what a hoot!! About 11 pm thing began to happen where the wind would let us fish and starting getting bass from Buckingham Point to and including Konocti Bay. He had the hot bait - an 8" dark green/chartreuse tail Yamamoto grub. The bass wanted that!!! He caught a 5 lb 6 oz, two 4 1/4's for starters on that bait. My biggest on a Berkley 10" Power worm was only about 4-2. We did wind up with 19 bass with a "just under" 22 lb limit. He lost the last 3 or 4 and then discovered a dull hook! This trip broke my rule that you can't do well on a damp, moist night when the boat is all wet. Maybe it's ok in the summer months! His trip home will hopefully be a little more pleasant!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The weather will warm up quickly now and may be stable for a week or so. Wouldn't that be amazing! Maybe the topwater/frog bite will take off!!

      Water Temp: ???

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well, today was my first real day of fishing back at Contra Loma after two years. It was a good day over all. Found out that I still know the loma bass pretty good after two years...caught 8 fish in total during about 4 hours of fishing. Fished from around noon until 4 or so. Fished on the back side of the lake. I figured if I caught fish on beds 3 years ago in June at Contra Loma I could still do it...so that's what I did. I actually only caught two bass that I sight-fished off of beds, but I was fishing as though I was fishing for spawning bass. Caught all but one bass flippin' around a yammamoto hula grub (208). All bass were in the 1-3lb range. Mostly decent 2.5#ers. Sight-fished one 2lber off of a bed with the hula grub. Then the highlight of the day was when I spotted a HAWG on a bed. I saw her and figured she was probably a good 8 or 9 lber (it's been a while since I've been any real big bass), so I flipped my hula grub at her...and she went for that right away, but only pulled the tails off. Put on another hula grub, and same thing. Then she wouldn't hit it again. Tried a senko, and she would only grab it by the tail and carry it away with no hook in her mouth. Then that's when I decided...all right, time to pull out the top gun...pulled out the same bait that I caught my previous lake record on a few years ago...and after a few pitches she gobbled it right up! When she jumped and started shaking her head that's when I realized that she was a bit bigger than the 8 or 9lbs I figured she was. Well, long story short...got her weighed in at 11.6lbs. That's my new personal best. Not bad for my first trip back to the loma in a couple of years...
      City: Antioch

Tips: I think most of the fish are post-spawn right now, but I wanted to target any late spawners and see if I couldn't luck out with a hawg. Well, sure enough I did. From what I remember, I've usually been able to catch a few big late spawners up until the very end of June. Pitch a hula grub around tules and you'll catch fish.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: first time on the lake this year...a beautiful day with the winds calmer than usual, so i couldn't blame the weather..couldn't figure out what was going on with mr. bass. hooked 6 of them, boated 4 with 2 dinks. saw bigger fish in the shallow weeds, but they didn't want to play. biggest fish of the day was a 4# catfish that ate my crank..sporadically graphed bait, but only a couple of fish...dunno, maybe it was a post spawn/full moon thing...

Tips: based on today, i can't really offer any solid advice. if you go out and its tough like today, maybe fishing steep walls and deeper would be better...

      Water Temp: 70-71

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of the Marina on the Folsom side because it's the only ramp that has docks above water. Water level very high, Browns Revine boat dock is under water which it more difficult to launch when you're the lone ranger. Proceeded to the South arm first cove fished for 2 hours no fish. Marked a lot of bait but fish just not active. Moved across to the North side and landed a 3lb spot on a 194 Senko(my fishingg buddy hates it when I use numbers instead of colors) but it makes for a more interesting story. Conituned to fish the North side because the South is loaded with watre Rats, you name it they have it. Jet skis, Ski boats pulling skiers, pulling tubes, pulling thinga-ma-bob's, and wanta-be ski boats just pulling anybody brave enough to hold on for their lives. Back to the fishing..Proceeded up the North arm near the Pennsula(can't see it because it to is under water)Fished some rocky secondary points using a dart head with an Iovino Peanut Butter and Jelly 6in worm when the line goes dead pull. I thought I was snagged--but no after 20 minutes of fighting this fish that won't surface, I finally win the battle when i bring her to the surface and it's a 15lb Catfish..I'm thinking instant release but she's got the damn hook in her. I pull her in weigh her and release the beast for future anglers(you're all welcome). Winds started howling out of the North at @10 -15 miles an hour(weather only said 7- But they're never wrong?)and it felt like I was on the Fricking Delta. I love my home body of water but the wind can drive you off in a hurry. Off the water by 2pm..Better luck next time--Yeh, I have said that before! Tight lines and watch out for water RATS!
      City: EDH

Tips: Catch and release all Catfish!

Report: This goes out to Rob Maxwell. I would like to say thank you very much for wishing me well "over there." It means alot to myself and my brothers and sisters in arms that the public still supports all of us. Though I will be off the lake for a while, come November I'll be heading out to the lake as soon as the wife will let me!!! Again thank you Rob.
      City: Plumas Lake

Tips: For our day on the water last weekend, 4 inch worms in darker colors with some chartruse some where worked well, had a decent crank bite too. With the lake level up, the fish were off the banks about 15-20 ft. I am going to try and hit clear lake if at all possible this weekend, been wanting to do that for awhile. Fish on Yall, and have fun.

Report: Started the morning off with a bang by landing a 8.1 lb bass on a jig with a Yum Chunk tailer. The big girl was sitting in a bush in about 9 feet of water. Didn't have a camera, so headed for Spanish flat, Bought a camera and the guy at the counter came down to the dock to snap some pictures for me. Lost about 40 minutes of fishing time but had to get my picture. released right after the photo op and headed back out to a fairly slow day. A few smaller 1 lbers One on The same jig and a couple on drop shot. HAd numerous hits throwing at fish busting shad on the surface, but I couldn't get any to stick. All in all a great day! Of course what day isn't great when you get to go fishing!

Report: Fished the Whisky Slough area in the AM on high tide. Only thing they would take were senkos in of any flavor. In fact my whole stash of Senkos was depleted by noon. Fish hit hard on the fall but nothing in size. Tried Buzzbait to no avail. Biggest catch of the day was on a Scum Frog, and no it was not a bass but a 3lb bull frog that took the bait (has anyone every had this happen before?) getting ready to lip a bass but got freaked out at another frog staring at me. Anyhow senkos senkos senkos.
      City: Stockton

Tips: Senkos only! after I used them all up I switched to a bag of Wave Tiki Stick, no bites, found a beat up Senko and they started hitting on it, dont know maybe the action of the Senko.......Does anyone know the difference between Yamamoto Senkos and Yamamoto flashes? Both made by Yamamoto enterprises, look the same, but different bags and different names. Thanks.
