Report: Hey Bobby don't sweat it... Last year I left a report on how my day was, and ended it with.. got off the water before all the Knuckle heads got on the lake.... then someone got all upset. There is always that one person. Lake lice, knuckle heads, or what have you. WE are not refrencing that I "WE" are better than others. But speaking of the FEW "SOME" people that either have lack of experience boating, and lack of respect for others who share the lake. Boo who to those who don't get IT. We are all fisherman, and should respect all, no matter pro, amature, weekend fisherman. There will always be that one person. The worst day fishing beats the best day working. Fishing REPORT. Went up south fished the wall on the left side. Drop shotted 4 up to 2#'s Top water first thing in morning, in back of coves up south and caught 5, all small. Caught fish working spook and a slow pace. All hits were on the pause.
      City: Folsom

Tips: Don't fish weekends... too many you know who...

Hot! Hot! Hot! And then it got hotter. Friday afternoon I gassed up the boat at Spanish Flats and headed towards Big Island. Caught a few fish but the wind made it hard to hold my position with the trolling motor so I headed towards a protected cove near Steele Park. With a slight wind I was able to adjust the boat so the drift would work for me. Fishing the rocks first I used my plastic crawdad and got wholloped four times and landed some nice size bass up to 3.5 pounds. I got a few on top water. Saturday morning at sunrise I took out Jay and his sons Chris and Sean. Our first stop was at the beginning of the Narrows. Jay threw out a jig with a craw trailer and landed a nice size bass within minutes in twenty feet of water. The boys were using brass and glass with a baby brushhog and a senco. Our score for the day was a total of twenty-three fish of which two were carp, ten were bass and eleven were crappies. We probably lost a minimum of the same amount. Sunday I caught a couple of kokanee and trout trolling very slowly from Steele Park towards the tubes. They were caught at twenty-three to thirty-one feet deep. I caught up with my family on the west side going towards big island. While we were barbequing lunch we all fished from shore and did quite well. Throwing assorted plastics with brass and glass we all landed some bass. I hope everyone enjoyed Father's Day I sure did.

Report: Headed out to Folsom for Fathers day. Father-In-Law down from Oregon for the weekend. Started out around Granite in the trees. Caught a few to 2.5#s. Then up north past the 5's to get away from all the lake lice. Sorry water rat, I call it like I see it and they are all idiot lake lice. Anyway, drop shotting around trees up north caught about 15 more fish nothing over 2.5 #s. My Mother in law wanted some fish to eat so for the first time ever, I took five of the little ones home to filiet up for her to make some fish tacos.

Tips: Fish the Shady sides of the trees. and watch out for the idiot lake lice.

Report: Got the float tube out and hit the South Lake today from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.. Threw a ZOOM Baby Brush Hog on a 3/8 oz. jighead almost the whole time. I worked the tules on both sides of the DPW pier, dragged the bait along the bridge - casting to the pilings. I also drifted down the tule line opposite the DPW pier for a couple hundred yards. Got 2 bass for the day. Not too big - about a pound a piece. Pretty fish, though, but I really worked for them (with the wind on the Lake)
      City: Daly City, CA

Tips: Try tubing or a small boat. It improves your chances

Report: Oroville is on fire! Caught 50 + fish in half day trip til noon. 20 fish over the slot, the rest solid 14 inch chunkers. Spooks in the morning, tubes and wacky rigged Flirts when the spook bite died. All caught in main body on flats, then 20 feet in front of wind swept points. Best 5 around 10-11 lbs, including a few decent smallies. Great Father's Day to all!!
      City: Roseville

Tips: Just go while it's hot! The spook bite is really starting to turn on. Fish seemed to be more concentrated on rocky/red clay points vs. the grassy points.

Report: All those bass with soremouth finally got over it...John and I spent a very nice Fathers' Day morning on the lake. John got his five to 3 lbs, and I got two to 2 lbs. It was a very nice day with little wind until we were getting off the lake at noon...then the wind picked up. There were very few boats on the lake this morning. Our fish came on Senko's, jigs, plastic worms, drop-shot worms, and a buzz-bait, mostly from about 12 feet deep.
      City: Monterey

Tips: Change presentations 'til you find what depth and speed of retrieve are working. There are still some late spawners, but most of the bass seem to have moved out to somewhat deeper water off the banks.

About half/half smallie/largemouth. Total about 10 fish. Fog cleared by 10an and temp went up quick. No wind thru 1pm so pretty nice.

All on weightless senkos (watermelon black flake, watermelon red flake, rootbeer gold and red flake) off the riprap and in the tullies in Victoria Canal. Fish bit on the fall. Wish I could of got my buddies on some better fish. Got a few hits on jigs, but, got nothing back except half my traier. One blowup on frog, nothing on buzzbait
      City: San Jose

Tips: Could use some, probably should have moved around more.

Report: Basin Bassmasters out of Loomis filled the lake with boats for a tourament, 6 hours. Going to be a very hot day, so get your limit early. Working the trees in the main body finding big bass with spinner baits, jigs and worms. Some fish were found on the points in 15-30 ft shaking JK jigs. The fish will move into the trees a the sum hits the water. Island tops in deep water 20-40 ft. Winning weight was 14.0 lbs with a 5.80 big fish.
      City: rocklin

Tips: trees near deep water are the best.

Report: Started fishing around channel point pitching and casting a black/brown/pumpkin jig with big texan sweet beaver, but no bites.Moved to the right of the pier and started casting in front of reeds and caught 10-13lb bass.

      Water Temp: 83

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A lot of weird moss in the lake! Looks like fine hair and makes fishing tough. My buddy and I fished from 5:30am to around 2:30 pm with only 10 bass in the boat. A couple nice ones 3-4 lbs, but the rest were dinks. The water condition made fishing difficult. Our rods and reels had the moss all over them making casting hard. The moss got in my buddies boat motor and clogged it up. We left earlier than we wanted because we didn't want to overheat the motor. We heard that this moss comes every year! That stinks.
      City: Exeter

Tips: We used Lizards to catch the dinks and worms to catch the larger fish. They seem to like fluorescent yellow tails.

Report: I would have to agree with Bobby about the Lake Lice at Folsom. Some of them (please note that I say some) have absolutly no respect for anyone else on the lake. Many a time I have been fishing in a 5 mile zone only to have a yahoo in a ski boat go flying through with his music blasting not aware that he has almost thrown me from my boat. He probably didn't even know that I was there. There are a ton of great people that use Folsom and respect everyone there......there is always a few that ruin it for everyone!
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Take a kid fishing......he'll probably fish better than your tournament partner! Sorry......could not resist it!

Report: Hey Dude at least I give my name...I won't take up to much space here because the other fishermen don't need to hear this(this will be my last posting).I was making for a fun story line a funny posting, C'mon dude I know that this is a state park in the middle of three large cities and that it is open to anybody..And, by the way, I am not overweight in the slightest. My body fat is around 14% and I keep in shape..I too have kids that I take fishing with me and it makes it difficult to survive let alone fish a small point when skiers are flying by you at top speeds in the 5 mile zone may I have you..The story line was all in fun and I do apologize to anyone that may have been affended by my comments...Tight lines and take your kids to a safe place to fish.

Report: Was out of town all week and haven't been to the Lake. Saturday, went fishing from 4:45 to 6:30pm. Weather was very nice, mid sixties with slight breeze. Fished the impoundment and south lake. Baby fry that disappeared a week back have reappeared, larger, but not as abundant. Seem to be a number of carp fry. Although, many of the fish schools have a distinctive green coloring (bass). Tossed a spinnerbait, Rapala floating minnow and drop shot rigged roboworm...got completely skunked. Had a great time trying and smoked a pretty good Nicaraguan 898 Diadema.
      City: Daly City

Tips: I did see 1 small bass in shallow water, but the fish are not in the numbers that they were at this time last year. The fish are probably holding out in deeper water, since the spawn may be done with. The water levels are a lot higher than last year as well.

Report: Fished the launch again, same result as couple of weeks ago, no basses seen around the coves and docks. So, I decided to fish for trout, no bites whatsoever, but guys around the bank are catching catfishes like crazy. There was one guy catching his limit of catfishes ranging from 3-5 pounds each on his stringer. The guys used scent on their baits and caught a few carps too. The crappie bite is on all around the docks, 20 feet out and 2 feet deep with mini jigs, caught a good size lunker crappie on a green mini jig. I used mainly spinner bait the rest of the day and caught a 2 pound male bass, it bit on a white spinnerbait. I threw him back, there are tons of baby basses around the docks and coves. Probaly the only basses hitting are males, no mama hawgs sighted whatsoever. All in all, the catfish and crappie bites are HOT. Bring out you rigs for catfish and panfish, and limit out!
      City: Concord

Tips: The bites are on 10 am till sunset for catfishes, the crappies come out and feed after 5pm, good palm size crappies caught everywhere around the launch. Wax worms and jigs for crappies, stink bait and scent for catfishes!

      Thanks Trinity Lake!
      City: Castaic

Tips: Flip the deeper brush piles
