      Water Temp: 62-65.8

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 6 pm till 12:30 am. Visibility about 1 foot. Scattered pockets of active fish (chasing bait to surface) and bank fish hitting senkos. Caught maybe 5 fish before dark and 1 or 2 after dark. Biggest going 3.5 pounds. All senko fish. Amador can be a tough lake at night without moon light and muddy water adds to problem. Pretty slow. Could have picked up a few more if had stayed later. Got a couple of quality bites that I couldn't put in boat. Tried several other proven baits - they proved to be inefective!
      City: Folsom

Tips: Be careful when loading your boat - many sticks by launch ramp. Make sure trailer bunks have no wood on them when you pull your boat out. Still a fair amount of wood and logs out on lake - so drive slowly and carefully. South coves had warmest temps.

Report: well i know this is not a report, This weekend i'm going to the san jose area for my grandmas B-day.I Have mainly been fishing the local lakes in my area, So far my biggest this season was an absolutely beautiful six pounder on a matt lures baby bass. I was wondering how far along in the spawn the fish are up there, considering it came late here i can only imagine sightfishing sucks with the horrible wether you guys been having. As late as it started for us it's pretty much over now. Hows the overall clarity, Last spring i caught tons of dink crappie but no bass. Also does anyone know how the fishing for bass at the campbell perc ponds has been? Are the fish up there staging or gaurding now? i don't have much time to fish this weekend, so i have to choose between anderson, calero, or campbell, what do you guys think? Any info will be greatly appreciated as i only make it up there once a year.
      Thanks,
      Sid

Report: It's that time of year again. I am getting the bug to "Impale a Scale", thats right... carp shooting. I know the lake is still cold but the shallows in the tulies have got to be getting warmer. Has anyone seen any carp up shallow? How about some spawning action? If these golden trash fish are tearing up your bass fishing holes just let me know. Some buddies and I would be glad to stick a few and the wife wants some fertilizer for this years garden. Good luck with the bass and thanks for the info. Oscar the Carp Hunter.

Report: Tried everything everywhere. Had two bites all day. Got one in the boat (2.5# largemouth) on a black yamamoto worm, other bite on a crankbait, but lost it before I saw it. Fished primarily Yorty and Cherry creeks, but tried main lake and even cranked the dam to no avail. If the rain stays away and the water clears and stabilizes, it should turn on quick. Lots of fry already in Yorty, Could the bass already have spawned?

Report: NEW PRODUCT REPORT Subject : Fishing With Sid 6

      | | | Inbox

I have been in Miami for the past two weeks and had the chance to do alot of fishing. On one fishing trip I met Joe from Ultra Scent Strike Attractant which was field tested and approved by one of my favorite magazines, "North American Fisherman", with a high rating. We went out deep sea fishing with the Kelly Fleet which is at the Haulover Marina on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. I used four pellets on a my line above my hooks and bait which was squid and let it go to the bottom. The first time I came up with a fish I thought it was just luck and the hook right by the pellets was the one the fish hit. We went to a new spot and were able to use the same pellets. We let the lines out to the bottom again and in less then five minutes I got hit big time by a large bottom fish. My luck continued the rest of the day and I am now a believer in this product. Those on the trip that did not use it did not do as well as those who did. I tried it in fresh water in the creek near where I was staying with good results. I am really excited to try it at Berryessa and will let you know the results. If you are interested in trying this product for any kind of fishing try www.chum-stik.com his name is Joe. 'Til next time..................good fishing!!! See you on the water and if you have any fishing stories to share please email me at bestguide@hotmail.com

Report: This place is prime right now! They may not be big, but you will get the numbers. So it is quantity not quality. Oh well, it is great practice to understand where they are and how they are biting. I went out yesterday and landed 10 in 3 hours, Biggest going 5 lbs. All fish were shallow in 2-5 of water.
PLEASE REMIND THE SHORE WEEKEND WARRIORS TO CATCH & RELEASE!

Tips: Anything, I caught them on spinner baits, senkos, brush hogs, etc.

      Water Temp: 52-55

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished 3 hrs on 4/17 with my 4 year old daughter and 21 month old son did not catch a fish, camped on the lake that night and fished all day 4/18 and finally got a pattern going at the end of the day
using senkos in the toolies and weeds in the south end of lake, landed 7 bass to 3 lbs but boy they were fighters, boated 2 3 lbers that thought they were 5 lbers. My daughter caught a nice blueguil on a bobber and a 8-10 lb bass inhailed it and almost pulled her out of the boat, I took the pole from her and started to fight it but the bass let it go, the blueguil came to the top and the 8-10 lb bass was chasing it but my boat started drifting away from the dock with my kids in it and I had to save the kids, my wife would be happier with the kids coming home than a 10 lb bass:)
      City: San Jose

Tips: Senkos in Watermellon any flake will work just outside the toolies. Toss it in the toolies and pull it through and they will hit it just after you pull it through. They will be in those toolies just as soon as the water warms up and it will be sight fishin time!! put them back if you catch a bed fish, I want my children to be able to bring there children fishing and actually catch fish.
