      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the shallows for a few hours this afternoon. Caught a 4.5 and a 4.75, one on a purple Kinami creature bait rigged weightless, the other on a topwater popper. Kinami fish was caught in about 4' of water, topwater was caught in 1'. This spawn seems a little odd compared to others I've seen on other lakes. I've never seen so many Carp hanging in the shallows, waiting to feast on the bass eggs.
      City: San Rafael

Tips: Throw everything you got. Topwater action should be starting up pretty soon.

Tips: when they throw those thing's in there.. try using a 5 to 7 inch rapala.. those fish are used to feeding on something that size.. anything else won't even get their attention.. try it .. and let me know.. by the way if your trowling..do it a a good rate of speed...your bait should be about anywhere from 18 inches to 24 inches. below the surface..try it.. it work's.. time of day.. rainbow's feed all day the best time is when the sun just hits.. remember rainbow's feed all day long..big rainbow's...7 inch rapalla... Thanks and let me know how it went.. Zack

Report: Got to the lake at around 7am to walk the shore, was there the night before and watched a guy pull in a 7lber..I got a 1-2lber that night but was dark so I had to go. I fished for about an hour and a half with no luck, til I saw movement under a tree. I dropped my senko in there and 3 minutes later I was getting my picture taken with a nice 10.4lber..I yes I put her back so that me kids will be able to caught nice size hogs like that when they're older..
      City: Santa Rosa

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: If I read it correctly, only the water in San Joaquin county is closed. I have never fished the Delta and was thinking of going tomorrow, but not if I have to wait until noon to launch. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? For example can I go to the Brannan Island SRA which is in Sacramento County and launch, then stay out of San Joaquin county until noon?

      Water Temp: 56-62

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: went prefishing last weekend. turned out all the FPT guys and some AC tourney was out last weekend at well. Well, i guess that bass fishing and clearlake have gotten popular enough that every weekend in spring, there is a tourney or two going on.
Pattern had changed a lot since previous weeks as others had posted. a stronger than forecast cold front put the bite off and rained on us 80% of the dat saturday.
Sat - stayed south, found some smaller fish in staging areas and structures leading into spawning areas. only a few touches on the ripbait, mostly plastics for our fish. If it were a tourney, i think it would have been a 12 lb bag for us..
Sun - went about looking for new spots - most areas were unproductive, and areas we knew that held fish, held fish. Only one spawner caught (when blind casting in sapwning areas). still a couple of rip fish. Sun was out for brief periods, and you could see the bass suspending under docks. we could not get them to go at all.
      City: belmont

Tips: the vast majority of fish are still in prespawn stage. next weekend will be off the hook if the weather stays clear and it doesn't get too windy.

      Water Temp: 51-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Some of you remember the report I did several years ago that started: "it takes a real man to post this report, etc". I know - I heard about it!!! Well, this is part two! I took two good fishermen to Clear Lake - one had never been there before. I thought we would work mid-lake, going a little north and a little south. We started strong - one guy got a nice chartreuse spinnerbait fish about 3 lbs and missed another - bringing it through the tops of submerged dormant tules around Rattlesnake Island. We moved to another good spot - nothing. The next area is usually good in prespawn but nothing the last two trips. As we were about to leave, I was throwing a brown/orange Rattlin' Weapon jig with a Yamamoto grub (guess what color!)and felt a little tick. Set on a nice gal that turned out to be nearly 6 pounds. Good start - 2 bass for almost 9 lbs. That was it for the day - that's right! The other fellow hooked one at Kono-Tayee but lost it, using a watermellon worm. I don't know how anyone else did but I sure noticed a lot of boats wandering around. I have seen this occasionaly before the spawn, bass seem to lose their appetite as they move shallow. Hard to believe that just a few weeks ago - 120 plus bass in two trips.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I'm sure you are dying for a few tips from me. Look at my Pardee report - maybe that will help. Yesterday at Pardee saved me from total depression!! Anyway, I think the jig will continue to work, especially if there won't be as much sight-fishing. The water is pretty clear in some areas of the south. Hope you folks get the luck I didn't!!

Report: Worked hard for 12 or so small fish and two 5's in the south end around docks and rocks. Wacky Senko, dart heads. Missed several good "sight" fish. The H2O is the south is much cleaner with 5ft visibility is some areas.

      Have fun

Report: fished for about 5 hours today. Launched around 10 A.M. Caught a few fish, biggest was 4 lb largemouth. All the rest were spots. Everything I caught came on a Jig near rocky secondary points. Looks like the fish are just waiting to move up, next full moon should bring them in.

Report: Fished the west side of the lake in coves. Threw a green spinner bait and caught 2 that were between 2 or 3lbs. Went back to get the boat out of the water and decided to throw a jerk bait and caught one smalley and a striper.
Had a good day and hope to see more people out on the water.
      City: Ukiah

Tips: If you got it throw it cause everything is starting to work. Good luck every one...

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: well to start my day off i got to the launch ramps at about 10 and a whole mexican family was taking showers in the lake. So that gave me a bad image. Then while i was around the island i was close to the shore and right there in the open two black people were having sex on the beach!! So i moved out of there fast!!!! So i go to the other side hoping to land some fish.... and a boat load of mexicans came by and one of them was hanging off the side of the boat taking a dump. this lake is terrible.... its extremly bad....and over populated with wetbacks..

      Water Temp: 62-65.8

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 6 pm till 12:30 am. Visibility about 1 foot. Scattered pockets of active fish (chasing bait to surface) and bank fish hitting senkos. Caught maybe 5 fish before dark and 1 or 2 after dark. Biggest going 3.5 pounds. All senko fish. Amador can be a tough lake at night without moon light and muddy water adds to problem. Pretty slow. Could have picked up a few more if had stayed later. Got a couple of quality bites that I couldn't put in boat. Tried several other proven baits - they proved to be inefective!
      City: Folsom

Tips: Be careful when loading your boat - many sticks by launch ramp. Make sure trailer bunks have no wood on them when you pull your boat out. Still a fair amount of wood and logs out on lake - so drive slowly and carefully. South coves had warmest temps.

Report: well i know this is not a report, This weekend i'm going to the san jose area for my grandmas B-day.I Have mainly been fishing the local lakes in my area, So far my biggest this season was an absolutely beautiful six pounder on a matt lures baby bass. I was wondering how far along in the spawn the fish are up there, considering it came late here i can only imagine sightfishing sucks with the horrible wether you guys been having. As late as it started for us it's pretty much over now. Hows the overall clarity, Last spring i caught tons of dink crappie but no bass. Also does anyone know how the fishing for bass at the campbell perc ponds has been? Are the fish up there staging or gaurding now? i don't have much time to fish this weekend, so i have to choose between anderson, calero, or campbell, what do you guys think? Any info will be greatly appreciated as i only make it up there once a year.
      Thanks,
      Sid
