      Water Temp: 52-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Mid-day escape with my buddy Bill resulted in 6 fish in about 3 hours of fishing. First was a 2 1/2 lb. Black on a Staysee on a rock point. Moved up the river to find 2 darthead fish and back out to the riprap on the dam for 3 more on a spinnerbait. Laek looks great with alot of good cover in the water. This week of warm temps should light this lake on fire
      City: Roseville

Tips: Just about any bait you want to toss will work. Todays conditions of cloud cover, south wind and moderate temps made for a reaction day and if we had stuck with it on the main lake we could have caught some bigger fish. Picked up a flyer for a team tournament out of the North launch scheduled for Saturday, April 14th. $40 entry fee if you sign up the morning of the event with a 70% payback, additional prizes and a BBQ during the weigh-in. Let's get out an support this deal, it sounds like a great time.

Report: Castmaster, with all the tourneys you better stick to lakes that have trout. The lake will be crowded for a few weeks. Good Luck
      City: Walnut Crick

Tips: Castmaster's in Silver with Blue work well. Tight Lines

      Water Temp: ???

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

      Report: Castmaster,

You have picked a bad time to ask about Clearlake. Everyone who knows anything has one or more tournaments there in the next 3-4 weeks so no one, including myself, want to get too "chatty" about what they know. We have been putting our time in on the water pre-fishing for the last month and don't want to give up too much. I can tell you the north end is muddy so the fishing there is tougher than the south end. If you want to come up and catch fish, you can launch at Rebud Park in the town of Clearlake and catch fish around most docks with a darker color 4-6" worm on either a drop-shot rig or split-shot, both will catch a lot of 1-2 lb fish right now. Be prepared though, there is a WON BASS this Saturday and an Anglers Choice on Sunday. Then next weekend is the Northlake Ford tourney on Saturday AND Sunday. It is pretty busy out there right now so be careful.
      City: Ukiah

Tips: Small worms around docks will let you some fun.

      Water Temp: cold

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water about 0830. As soon as we pulled out of the 5's at browns it started raining. So we made a short trip and started throwing blades on a wind blown bank. Blades produced 2 quick fish, 2.13oz & 1.3oz. Then the skys cleared for a bit and nothing.... Started throwing jigs and caught 2 more fish, 1.8oz & 1.4oz. All in all not a bad day on the water w\ the cold temps & no sun for a couple weeks. Also spent more time running/breaking in the new motor then we did fishing.
      City: Cameron Park

Tips: All 4 fish were VERY pale but were only in 8-10ft of water.

      Water Temp: 52-55

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: A lot of bites today, but not many in the boat! A lot of my time was spent dodging debris in the main body - the most I have ever seen!! I had about 12 hookups but only landed a few - the biggest a 2-7 smallie that ate a Blade Runner 5/8 oz white/chartreuse spinnerbait - next to a bush. My jigs got a lot of bites with one good one on for awhile. Most would hit the jig and I would set on nothing! Berryessa bass are the best at that trick! The sun was out from 11 am to 1:30 pm and that was when the fish were the most active. The next front (number 10 I think!) moved in - the wind picked up and the bass started suspending from 20 to 50 feet. I got mad and went home, har!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The only real tip I can offer is to the weather man - how about some sun in the forcast!! I found a lot of fish at the mouths of coves where there was a breakline, especially if I felt rock. I only fished the eastside and skiers cove in addition to the narrows. Another week or two.....?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Started the beautiful day fishing bottom of tide for stripers. Caught two and lost one in rip rap. Once tide started to move, fished tight in the tules on the incoming, just a few up to 2lbs on worms, both wacky and texas. Color didn't seem to make a difference. White wacky and watermelon texas. Action seem to be better at the beginning of the outgoing at Franks.
      City: SSF

Tips: Bite extremely light. Fished very slow and tight into tules on Helix and senkos.

Report: Started out fishing main body, fishing points and creek channels. The bite was real soft, no reaction bite so we changed to tubes. We then went to the South Fork and fished points and creek channels. Using tubes we caught 25 in 3 hours, 6 over 2lbs. and one at 4.6lbs.
      City: Paradise

Tips: Key on main points and creek channels. If no reaction bite, slow your presentation.

Report: On the water @ 10:00am, Fished shallows for 2 hours some dinks with 2 nice smallies. Moved up Putah Creek and found nothing. Live bait worked best with very few takers on anything else. Trolled with downrigger for about 4 hours and found 1, 10 in Trout. Windy in the afternoon and calm by 5:00pm. Good day on the water even though the catching was tough.

Report: On a slow day for trout fishing at the Dam, at a little before noon at the mainrec area I caught a 22.5 lb catfish on chiicken liver and night crawlers. It was fairly muddy water and you should prepare to throw deep from the shore.
      City: San Pablo

Tips: Although this is a trout lake, lets not forget that this lake has other big fish to be caught too. Be patient catfish and bass fans, the best is yet to come. Welcome back San Pablo Dam.
