Del Valle Lake
-
Water Temp: 66
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I got caught with the rentals being closed too!
Fished the bank in the narrows for 2 smallies and 3 largemouth. Biggest was 3.5 pounds.
Senkos on ledges and rocky dropoffs in about 14 feet of water. Saw a bunch of shad being busted out in the middle. Time for the shadraps and spinners if you have a boat!
City: San JoseTips: Bring your own boat. Jig bite is still on but the fish are chasing shad so reaction bite is starting. Bass are moving out from stucture. Find bait, you've found fish.

Water Temp: ?

Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 66-69
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Ryan Mckinley and I went out late in the afternoon. I have not seen the lake for a month or more, it sure has droped. Dropping is good for me my rockey points and steep drop offs are up now. Using drop shot and finding big balls of moving ball our first bass was a 2.5 lb spot in the main part of the lake with rocks in 45 ft of water.
Ryan was using a carolina rig with a leach in 20-30 ft of water getting his first spot just in front of the "Rock Garden" area.
Just outside in deeper water I found balls of bait with large arches under, drop shot got me a 1.5 , 2.0 and a 3.0 lb.
gets dark early so out of the water by 6:30.
City: rocklinTips: fish slow and look for the moving bait balls

Report: Windy and clear but the fish were biting all day. Caught 25 LM mostly in the 1-2 lbs range but did get a 3.8 which was big for this lake. The pattern was mud lines in 20-25 ft of water. Caught fish on spinner bait early. Later it was drop shot robo, TX rigged Robo, and a carolina rigged brush hog. Saw some schooled up bass busting shad on top.
Hey foat tube Steve how did you do?
City: Foster CityTips: Find the mud lines and fish the edges with soft plastics in 20-25 ft of water along steep drop rocky shore line. Good luck.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 69
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: This is just a warning for those who are interested. I've noticed that a capt. sid has been using the posting as a way to advertise his guide service. When you click on his website, he claims he has caught a few bass over 10lbs. He also has a picture of a 11.20 bass from berryessa. If you look carefully at this picture, you will notice the fish is dead, real dead. Look at the bulging eye and tail fins and it looks like a fish that we have all seen floating somewhere. If i was a betting man, i might say that it was a fish that someone else caught. Maybe this someone was fishn alone one day and caught the biggest bass of his life and sought out someone to take a pic of him and this fish. He finds someone at the dock who takes his picture, but also wants some pics of the fish and himself with his camera. Being excited as well as foolish, the fisherman says okay. The fisherman realizes he has made a mistake when the stranger mishandles the fish and feels bad when his intent was to release the fish alive. The fisherman then returns the fish to the livewell to release it where it was caught. A month later the fisherman runs into the stranger at a fishing show advertising his guide service with a picture(the same one on his website)of this 11.20 bass. Well, that's the story and its as true as me telling you that the stranger was sid I'm that foolish fisherman that helped kill that 11.20 bass.

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 67ish
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I needed a day on my favorite lake, so I braved clearlake knowing that 188 ACTOC boats would be there in addition to the guys prefishing for the BASS event. I fished what I call my barometer dock to see if the fish were biting. No bites off the dock........hmmmmmm. Fished from 9-11 am and not a bite cranking, jigs, dropshot,. Wheeler yielded me a nice catfish on a dropshot and a10" bass. My buddy and I fished hard till 4:30 and never boated another fish, much less had a bite. Some days your the windshield, some days your the bug!
City: Yuba cityTips: I always try to learn something every day I'm on the water. Today, I saw a guy get a decent fish on a dropshot. I saw another spinnerbait a 3 lb fish, I saw a guy sitting in 30 feet of water off Glenhaven fishing the TOC by himself. He was, I believe carolina rigging something in 30' and catch one about 1.5lbs.(by the way, you were very rude, and I hope your motor broke and you never got to weigh your fish!). I had a hard time bringing myself to write this report. I knew that just because we sucked this day that limits over 20lbs would be weighed on this day. I just couldn't believe that at least a few fish wouldn't eat my stuff.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 70 - 74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: We had a nice warm day with a light breeze on the water. I fished from noon until sundown. Caught a few nice spots and a lot of dinks (either spots or small mouth). Had most luck with 3" thin drop shot baits during the day and 4"-6" drop shot baits in the evening. Most of the bait in the lake is 1" to 3" long right now. I could not get a good rip, crank, spinnerbait, topwater bite going. The bait was 10-30 feet deep during the day and came to the top late in the evening. The best bite seemed to be around 1:30 PM in 20-30 feet of water. More bait was in the cooler 70 degrees coves, the main lake was from 72-74.
City: SacramentoTips: find the coldest water = more bait = more fish

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: i have been fishing coyote once a week for the last 6 weeks.
been launching at about 1 oclock
been hooking a big fish every time i go out.
10lb11oz,6lb 8oz, 5lb 3oz
they seem to be scattered
one day hitting a jig with a blue trail but lately a pumpkin trail
big ones seem to be on rocks ,smaaler ones on dead wood
i can catch the 2 to 3 lbs on the same spot but rarely two big fish at the same location
fall is coming and i notice the jig bite coming on stronger
to bad the launch ramp closes within 3 weeks
i know there is big bass to be caught in nov and im bummed the ramp is closing down
caught some bass on shad colored crank and like colored blade
lots of bites on drop but there small now
it seems to me the best bite is between 430 and 500 oclock in the evening then it shuts down or maybe a change of color is needed
let me know how yall are doing its great to see posts on coyote and even if it onl;y for a couple more weeks
