Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The water temperature has dropped to 68 degrees. Balls of bait are all over the lake and the fish are gorging on them. I watched some bass, about twenty of them, herd the bait into a ball team work style and then proceed to devour them. Fishing was good this past weekend except for Sunday because of high winds and rough water. As we trolled for bass we caught some trout on the surface. Friday was an excellent day we hit fish all day long everywhere we ventured to. The boat traffic has settled down to a minimum and the lake belongs to the fisherman again. 'til next week...................good fishing!!!!! www.fishingconnection.net

Let'em go. About noon caught a trout using a broken back rappala. Was out for another 4 hours with out a nibble, bite, nuthin. Other fishers near bye experienced the same luck.

Report: Pre-fished a few days over the last week for the Hook tournament....which Gene appropriately called off due to high winds..better safe than sorry... Anyways, topwater had been kicking out some decent fish lately(south and central), a big black buzzer was getting several 3's a day along w a 4+ and a 5. Not a fast paced bite but consistant all day long. Mon I intended to focus on cranks but conditions weren't in my favor, it was flat calm, w/clear sky and the tide only moved about a foot in either direction. About noon I decided to run North and flip around some areas well known for big dogs but I rarely fish. Pitched my senko up to and isolated tule clump, tap, set and oooh what a pull. I quickly checked my drag thinking it must be loose, nope she's just pulling hard. Turned out to be a beautifull 10lb 10z toad. Lukily a DFG warden drove up on the levee just as I boated her and offered to take a few pic's since I was by myself.

Report: Fished from 6:45 - 11:00. Started by the dam with a ripbait. Had a nice one come unbuttoned at the boat on my second cast. Ended up with 2 decent fish on the ripbait and another on a small crankbait. When the sun hit the water I switched to a dropshot along the wall by the dam. Ended up with about a dozen on the dropshot. Nothing huge with the largest just undedr 3lbs.
City: San JoseTips: Fish are shallow early but move to about 20-25ft once the sun comes up. Try any of your favorite fall baits.
