      Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got there about 2:30. Started out fishing the weedline with a beaver and rattle traps and caught 8 bass from 1.5-4lbs. plus a few missed bites.Once the sun got low stripers started busting all over the lake.I started throwing a spook into them and it was on!! I caught a fish on nearly every cast until it was damn near dark.Awesome afternoon and evening on the O'neill.Just try to catch and release! I know they're good to eat but this fishery has enough people keeping every legal fish they can get there hand's on.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Spook's for the stripe's on top.Beaver's and rattletrap's for the bass.

      Water Temp: 67-70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 5:30 pm till 1:00 am, was unable to stay later. Fish were gorging themselves on shad like crazy but were tough to catch. We caught 2 on topwater and one or two on crankbaits. After dark bite was again S-L-O-W with only a few fish on black/chartreuse plastics and senkos. Probably caught 7 fish with biggest going 1.5 pounds - pretty impressive for a fall bite, huh? Had a good time anyway. Moon was at first quarter (half moon), winds were fairly strong for about 2/3 of the time and the air temp was pretty warm - warmer than last 2 trips.
      City: Folsom

Tips: If you know how to catch the (smaller) bass going crazy on shad in the evening, then you'll do okay. I guess we should have tried spooning.

The past few days have been very productive. On Thursday and Friday I went fishing with Jesse O. Thursday the water was like glass not a ripple in sight except for the fish boiling in the narrows. Jesse caught a 3+ lbs salmon and some nice bass trolling. Saturday I went out with Juan Z. It was a colder day and the water had changed considerably. The bass went deeper but he still managed to catch a couple of nice fish. Early Sunday my wife, me and Steve E. headed out for the vineyards where I had seen a large amount of bass swimming in one to two feet of water on Thursday. Steve was very successful drop shoting. My wife used brass and glass with a senco and I used a weightless senco and all of us were catching fish. When the wind came up we started to troll in about 25 feet of water through large balls of bait from the vineyards to the ranch house with huge success. We only stopped when we saw the fish boiling over the bait and threw crank baits into the boils with good results. The water temperature started out at 69 degrees and in some areas went up to 71 degrees. All in all it was a great few days of fishing and should only continue to get better and better.............'til next week good fishing!!!!!!!! www.fishingconnection.net 650-583-3333

He has yet to make any sense at all. How's Anderson? Zack asks...Go look on the message board, but please do not post anything you will only make people mad. Zack is there anything that we can do to make you stop posting? Please stop.

Report: Ryan Mckinley and I went out late in the afternoon. I have not seen the lake for a month or more, it sure has droped. Dropping is good for me my rockey points and steep drop offs are up now. Using drop shot and finding big balls of moving ball our first bass was a 2.5 lb spot in the main part of the lake with rocks in 45 ft of water.
Ryan was using a carolina rig with a leach in 20-30 ft of water getting his first spot just in front of the "Rock Garden" area.
Just outside in deeper water I found balls of bait with large arches under, drop shot got me a 1.5 , 2.0 and a 3.0 lb.
gets dark early so out of the water by 6:30.
      City: rocklin

Tips: fish slow and look for the moving bait balls

Report: This is just a warning for those who are interested. I've noticed that a capt. sid has been using the posting as a way to advertise his guide service. When you click on his website, he claims he has caught a few bass over 10lbs. He also has a picture of a 11.20 bass from berryessa. If you look carefully at this picture, you will notice the fish is dead, real dead. Look at the bulging eye and tail fins and it looks like a fish that we have all seen floating somewhere. If i was a betting man, i might say that it was a fish that someone else caught. Maybe this someone was fishn alone one day and caught the biggest bass of his life and sought out someone to take a pic of him and this fish. He finds someone at the dock who takes his picture, but also wants some pics of the fish and himself with his camera. Being excited as well as foolish, the fisherman says okay. The fisherman realizes he has made a mistake when the stranger mishandles the fish and feels bad when his intent was to release the fish alive. The fisherman then returns the fish to the livewell to release it where it was caught. A month later the fisherman runs into the stranger at a fishing show advertising his guide service with a picture(the same one on his website)of this 11.20 bass. Well, that's the story and its as true as me telling you that the stranger was sid I'm that foolish fisherman that helped kill that 11.20 bass.
