Report: Fished Oroville with my two kids, both caught as many fish as I did. We started out fishing south of the bridge near Lime Saddle with Morning Dawn and Ox Blood worms, both worked very well. Kimberlee(7) was first to put fish in the boat! After one more from Kimberlee and 3 from dad Colin(10) put 2 in the boat! We tried Hula Grubs, Spinner baits and top water, but only worms were our best bet for the day! We each had 3 or 4 for the day and no lake lice to speak of.........Amazing!
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Fish were only interested in SLOW.......only one fish on a spinner bait at a fast pace. Morning dawn 4" and 6" worms were hot all day.

Report: I have fished here a lot for trout and always hear its a good bass place but where does everyone fish? I see alotof people fishing for bass but never see em catch anything. Could you tell me the best spots of the lake and what time of day and what to use. The only bass I have ever caught there was a long time ago split shotting a worm.

Report: I was just wanted to know if anyone knows how to get to this lake??? I've tried twice now looking for this lake and I can't find it. I have a book that shows you how to get there, but the directions don't add up. So, if someone that fishes this lake can tell how to get there that would be great. I wanna try the lake for Largemouth Bass. Catch & Release!! --RMK

Report: i went out and saw that the water temp was very high so i used a fast presentation with a buzzbait and had no luck. Then i tried a fast moving jig no luck. then i moved to a cove across the way from the farthest restroom south and tried one of those new storm crankbaits that resemble bluegill. i casted it and retrieved it in a erratic motion and had the best fishing day of my life. In a span of 1-2 hours i had boated around 20 fishing on one shoreline. depth 2-10 feet. largest fish 6pounds 10 ounces. i had seen this before this time of year because the fish get tired of shad for some reason and switch over to eating bluegill that take much longer to grow so they are probly just the right size. to bad i wasnt entered in a tournament

Report: Fished the same turkey shoot as capt Jack.Fished with my old delta rat pal Big Al. We fished around Franks early throwing black buzz baits. I stuck a 7 lber but wrong kind of bass. Bass are bass so I kept throwing the buzzer. We threw them all day. We kept hitting moving water and grass. Went as far south as disco bay. My big fish was 5.50 and als was a nice 4lber. My 5+ culled a 4lber. We had a nice 19 to 20 lb. 5 fish limit by 10 am. Big johns lunch was very nice. Too bad one more guy didn't show up. If 20 boats fished I would have gotten 2nd 60 40 split. So next time everybody show up. It was a really good bite till the tide changed. With the wind blowing in and the tide going out the waves were in the 3 foot range on the main river. Lots of fun trying to throw buzz baits into the gain winds.
      City: Orangevale

Tips: Right now throw buzz baits early and often. Seinkos ready for the short hitters. Fish shallow grass with current.

Report: STARTED OUT AT FIRST LIGHT IN THE TRACT.. by 7am we had about 6 fish including a four caught on a wacy worm and a five caught on a frog.. no buzzbait fish.. about 11am ( which was about low tide) the spinner bait bite turned on .. i caught about 10 fish in the next two hours between two and three pounds.. i figure my best five went about 14 and my partners about 12.. only differnece was we went down this one bank with him in the front cranking a speed trap and i followed up with a spinnerbait . he caught several dinks and i caught about the same number 2-3 pounders. they just liked the spinnerbait better ....not bad for post spawn .. no huge bites but a four and a five is ok ...
      City: WSUNNYVALE

Tips: plastics on high tide and spinnerbaits on low ....fish were real aggresive. i even had a worm hanging over the side of the boat about a foot under the water while i washed my hands and a 2 pounder came out from under the boat and grabbed it . when he saw ne it scared him as much as me..

Report: Hey steve...try cranking early in am...
      City: san jose

Tips: The tip of the day and from what Ive heard is that .. the "boater's.. and jet ski's get " and I quote "BOARD' .. come by to see and say .. HOW"S FISHING?.. LOL..We as people need to respect zones... Myself I fish the bank's.. There is no reason for a jet ski and or a ski boat to come within 200 feet of myself and or my boat..I really dont care about your New Mastercraft.. because I had one.. Please dont throw wake's my way..that is rude.. Now aday's there is no respect..Hey.. even between fisherman and skier's.. Ive seen the rudest of fisherman on Coyote.. wont give the cf number's but I know.. give way, and go around.. If someone is there.. believe you me he aint drop shotting..doe's not work.. if any of ya disagree let me know.. cuz I up for suggestion's.. I figured something else out that my dad taught me.. that no one know

Report: Hey its been a long time since I filed a report on this website, I've been recovering from a broken wrist I suffered on the 12th of May, still not right so I will take it easy and resume my posts.Fished a client(Rich)on 7/3 in at Packers Bay at 0500 started throwing spooks until appox. 0900 caught a total 15 fish, Rich caught biggest one at 4.6# and a 2.5# rest of fish mostly rats, decided to make a run to Big Backbone before the boat traffic picks up, started at 5MH bouy throwing darterheads and worms, we caught another 15 fish all about 1.5#
1200 back to the main body fished until 1330 without a bite, fished mudlines until 1500 throwing blades caught 5 more including a nice 3.0 spot. All said it was a very good holiday weekend and its great to be back on the water

Report: fished disappointment for a couple hours then moved to whites. caught over 20 fish. lost a whole bunch of fish on spinner, put on a trailer hook but did not get another bite til I took it off. caught fish on buzz, crank, grub, senko, and spinner. most fish caught on disappointment slough with largest at around 6lbs on a senko. those guys on the airboat lastweek sprayed almost everything in white slough because almost everything including the hydrilla is dead or dying.
      City: stockton

Tips: fished tule and weed edges most productive.the deeper the water next to the tules the better. used a chrt/wht spinner for most of the day, motoroil/redflk senko, wht grub, red crank. Spinner and senko were most productive and produced larger fish.

Report: Got on the water at 7am- the weather was freezing but the water felt like a spa. Fished grasslines with buzzbaits & senkos but no luck so then I fished the east shore bank (closest to the damn) and landed a 6lber on a black & blue flaked senko.

Caught 5 more on the west bank- all on rocky points drop shotting an aarons magic roboworm.
      City: San Jose

Tips: Fish still seem to be on the rocks- mostly shallow: 2-6 feet.

Bite stopped for me when the fog broke through, anyone have any tips for when it gets hot??

Report: Fished 8am to noon. Caught one small one on a TD Minnow just up from the rock garden. Nothing on Gitzits(my favorite), Worms or crankin. I've fished Folsom since 1987 and have never seen this much bait in the water. HUGE schools of pond smelt surronding my boat. Match the hatch maybe.
      City: EDH

Tips: 50-100 fish a day at Folsom?. Maybe you meant Bodega bay.

Report: Yesterday some of the water has a mud line, with no boats just a light winds from the west (choppey). Jim Ryan and I headed out to the Camp Ground out from from Grainte Bay ramp to a cove to get some top water action in smother waters. It just repeated from yesterday until 10am. Jim was using creckets and got two blue gils. My lures just got taps, no good bites. Again saw balls of bait fish.

Tips: let me know if anybody does good.
