Water Temp: who knows
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I ished riday night with bass Dr. Boneaue or 5 hours and got 2 nice bass, the bigest was 3pounds 8 oz.saturday ished all day or two ish both in the 2 lb. range.Bass Dr. got more ish but they werent o braging size, like his 4 pound ish in ebruary. All were caught on sinkos.the ish were shallow next to submerged timber.the bass were holding close to the bottom and took my oering on the all. the weather was warm and we saw a lot o carp in the shalows. With some stable weather this lake should be great.see ya there soon!!!
City: san joseTips: yamamoto is king.try dark colors like purple or black.we heard one angler use ing camo sinkos and got ish.the rogs sang us to sleep each night, so Im getting some rog lures to work the weed beds this summer.

Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I took two ellows to Oroville last Saturday or a 6 hour "teach the lake" trip. There was a tournament going on but it didn't seem to be too crowded. We went rom the dam up to the north ork and lasted about 1 1/2 hours beore the wind became a problem. I had two or three wimpy bites on a jig and put it away. The jig bite just isn't happening or my boat this year at Oroville. We ished worms (6 inch) most o the time and the morning dawn was hot - the weather wasn't! We wound up with 16 bass - 3 over the slot with one nice 2 1/2 pound spot. We ripped some but with no success - maybe because we started at 6:30 am. I tried to show them some areas that the tournament ishermen don't bother much and one o those areas in the middle ork really produced. It really was a un trip! I know these guys will be stocking up on morning dawn worms!!!
City: Yuba CityTips: Because o cool water still, the ish we caught were on walls and on lats very near deep water. The water needs to warm up a bit more or good horizontal movements to shallow spawning areas. Most o our ish were 10 to 20 eet deep.
-
Water Temp: 53 to 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Almost wide open bite. These next ew weeks will be red hot (100 ish days). Wish I can go back. The ish we caught hadn't spawn yet. 3.5 days (3/26 thru 3/29) o ishing produced 214 spots, two salmon, two smallmouth, with the largest just shy o 18 inches. Middle ork is the happening spot, although all the orks should be rocking by now. Water is warming ast. Morning dawn worms was the ticket. Some ish already hitting topwater. Amazing ishing - amazing lake.
Tips: Winds blown structure, steep rock walls, back o the coves mornings and evenings. Pretty much everywhere, we ound ish. There heerrrre. :)

Report: ish in willows on sac arm obrien-north to lakehead same pattern as davis report. but ish are crusing lots o emales up !!!!ish are spots though only saw 1 lg. mouth.caught 7 spots on top. work it slow then stop. i not tell you which topwater you have to igure it out.running water at sac arm lakehead in river/lake porduced 4 big smallies. all ish released.
City: RoseburgTips: willows are key, i you see a bank angler throwing livebait on big ish you can move those ish to areas that do not have acess except by boat.they did purchase a liscense it is there right to keep there take i sure hope ish and game starts checking liscenses most people do not display them or do not have them. as ar as behind mariners in the eagle area i do not know i you can walk into those coves,i have seen atv back there, but i it is illegal i hope they get caught.get your tackle at phils they are the best!!!!

Water Temp: 55-60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I thought I was catching good bed ish, but the people rom laos, kicked my bass today. They were throwing shiners on beds rom Jones Valley to behind Ski island. Three o these guys had the biggest stringers o largemouth I have ever seen, and I used to live on the Delta so I have seen a ew stringers. Mine were alive when I let, theirs were dead. Had a good day, with approx. 25-30 ish, see you in the willows tomorrow.
City: ReddingTips: There has to be water running in to the willows to ind these ish, really easy to catch with live bait, but I caught mine o Carolina rigged loating worms. Saw alot o 6-10 pound ish, hope they're there tomorrow and the laos people aren't.

Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fishing was great. Temp was near 80 on Sunday. Fish were in the shallows at about 5-10t o water- watrer temp 64. Any ish that went any urther into shallow water were propmtly eaten by the pellicans that were hunting them down (on the grass lats n.e. side)- Wild never saw that beore. Aaso landed many ish in any cove that I went to in the late aternoon on the N.W. side. Get out its great!
City: NapaTips: Keep it small. All ish were caught on a 3" worm light in color, Texas rig

Water Temp: 60-66
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I read the other reports, I too went out on Monday. Launched at B&W with guess who?Denny Bruer and many other BASS guys. Preaty cool lauching and running with all the 'logo' boats, I was looking or the cameras! The best part o the day was ishing along side the 'big boys'. Any way 5 small ish all on senko all males. slow bite ished both parts o tide. The bugs in Franks were out o this world.Maybe next week will be beter.
City: Elk Gorve -
Water Temp: ??
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched out o Paridise today to avoid the BASS crowds. Ran up to telephone cut or a little while. I wasn't alone up there about 6 bass boats total in and out o the cut. I tryed everything today at a bottomed out tide. I got only a slap with a spinner bait. It was un trying a new area. Haven't been up here or a couple o years. Luanch ees are $8 now on weekdays, I'd rather just use anual luanch pass at Ladd's or now on.
City: StocktonTips: Got windy this aternoon, nice overcast skies, but bass weren't cooperative today or some reason.
-
Water Temp: 61.9
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: High tide was to be at 5:00pm so I launch at 1:30 rom King Island and run to Franks track to hopeully ollow the incoming back towards King Island. Wimpy high tide which seemed like it never happened. Two ish both out o Franks. One went 3.2 and the big girl went 8.6.
City: SacramentoTips: Modiied 9X senko, both ish in 2 oot or less o water. I watched two dierent boats work the same island and then did the exact opposite which resulted in somewhat o a bug problem that even 100%deet did not stop. Anyhow there is nothing like pitching into a hole and connecting to a reight train in 2 t. o water. Not alot o ish but I was not targeting small ish with a 9X Senko. next ull moon is D day.

Report: Steve and I inally got to take out our new (used)procrat! Yee haaa. Headed up to cherry creek to start (thanks Jim). Guess we missed the message about everyone and their brother needs to start in Cherry but everyone else seemed to know. Wall to wall boats rom my perspective. We did OK there and moved around some, but not great. Hit and miss with limited pattern in the AM. maybe 6 ish by 3:30 pm then in the aternoon and evening it turned on we ended up with 16+ ish plus some small ones that jumped o. Steve got the biggest a 4.2 top 5 went 14.5#. Weather was great! F&G checked licenses again and asked to see our ish, we release all our ish but it was the irst time I had been asked.
City: PaciicaTips: Mostly plastics at structure. 1.8 Smallie on a spinnerbait was really cool.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched about 3:30 pm and started in Mt Cove. Caught a 12" on irst cast on Senko in less than 1' o water. We caught about 20 ish until sunset and then it slowed or about an hour and then bite picked up again. We ished until 10:00pm and probably caught 35 ish biggest went 3.5 and a couple other near 3 lbs. Great trip, ish were active and we had plenty o action. No 10 lber, maybe next time!
City: FolsomTips: Plastics and Senkos kept us active all aternoon and evening. Avoid the crowds and ish late aternoons and evenings!

Water Temp: 59-63
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fishing was air or us today. Weather was gorgeous, which brought out alot o boaters. Really had the south end stirred up in most places. We landed 8 total, no big ones, several 2-3lbers. One nice smallmouth taken by buggin' on her ly rod! Found all ish in backs o coves. Only saw a ew bed ish today, mostly a little deeper, maybe 5-10t. o water. Small plastics and cranks were getting bit or us today, oh yea, and a weighted white/chartuese streamer!
City: VacavilleTips: I you can, go up during the week, it should be awesome. As the weather warms, it just going to get better! Make sure to be as quiet as possible, they seem very jitterish right now.....

California Delta

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished nothing but jigs today...Caught 15+ ish rom 2 to 4 lbs...Fished the middle delta and ocused on long rock walls. Got out at 9:00 AM and had a limit in the irst hour...The initial bite was incredible, as I missed as many as I caught. In all, I ished three dierent walls with a ledge o sorts and ound ish on each.
City: Discovery BayTips: Black with Red trailer when the sun was high and brown with watermelon/red lake when the sun settled. The best bite was on black and red. This is the same pattern I've ound or at least three weeks now. Fish away rom all the pressure...you will ind ish in unlikely places i you search and stay with it.
-
Water Temp: 62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Slough again this morning rom 6:00am till 9:00am. Only could muster up ive little dinks all on 5in. watermellon/black senkos. Excellent weather anyway! Alot o boats starting to show on a regular basis so i you can manage it, ish during the week as ishing pressure is very thin on weekdays.

Contra Loma Lake

Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Very sunny day. Almost too perect. First cast to a loating patch o tules yieled a nice 3.5lber. She never saw it, it landed and got hit. Excellent start. On a 7in junebug worm. Caught 2 more at 2.5lbs a piece. I started stalking ish, its hard not to ollow a 5 plus pound bass and toss a ew baits at him. I gave up out rustation. Saw a ish that easily was above 6 or 7lbs. Plenty o ish spawning right now.
City: OakleyTips: Stay low i walking odds are they'll see you beore you see them. good ishin.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Caught two bass today. Both came on a 5" CoreShot Senko. I didn't have a scale, so I estimated them to be a 4 and a 1. The 4 was really at and ull o eggs.
City: AntiochTips: Tried other lures but the Senko was the only one that produced.

Coyote Lake

Water Temp: 61
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: John Fernandez and I went to Coyote last Friday rom 11:00am to 2:300pm. We had to ish almost entirley in the South end o the lake due to at least 20-30 mph winds that made the main body o the lake like the San Francisco Bay. I picked up two small one in the creek channel on a watermellom Senko. We decided to try the wind blown cover a ew hundred yards ater the 5 mph bouys. First cast John throws his motor oil/red lake Senko into a small channel in the trees and catches a 3.25 lber. I have a eeling that this lake will be o the scales in a couple o weeks in the south portion o the lake when the ish start to move up to spawn. John and I will try to hit this once a week and let you all know how it is. See you all Thursday.
