We had stopped at Tackle It in Lakeport and spoke to Ross, he set us up on three patterns which all worked great. He had us throwing swim baits, rip baits, and blades. Talk about puttting us on the ish this guy gave us the color time o day and where to go, this was the best trip to Clear Lake I have ever had. I you are looking or big ish try Clear Lake now. Be prepared to throw those big baits and then just hold on.Thanks Tackle It
      City: Santa Rosa

      Water Temp: 55 to 59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Storm ront moved in over night,on the water at 6:00 and headed to barn cove and missed one on a spinnerbait, headed to another cove were I had 2 the night beore and did'nt even get a nibble. Cloud cover thickening and temp dropping. Ran to big cove and got one small one in the back o the cove on a spinnerbait. A little break in the cloud cover started to get the ish a little more active and brought the shad and the stripers up. A buddy that went with me got one striper on a spinnerbait and a couple o bass rom 1.5 to 2.5 lbs, one smallmouth at the back end o the cove on a big lat. It was just a small school o stripers today, they actually suraced right next to the boat tearing up shad, it looked to be about a dozen ish or so. Continued around the cove covering water with a spinnerbait and lucky crat bevy shad, picked up 5 more on the spinnerbait one healthy 3lb 5oz'er and the rest in the 2lb ot 2.5lb range. Let big cove and went over to the dam area and picked a 2.5lber. Buddy got a good smallmouth on a spinnerbait on a shallow point about 3 to 5 eet deep. Weather started getting real nasty and was o the water by 3:00. Tough day, but still managed a couple o good ish.
      City: Ukiah

Tips: Get the lake right now while its hot, not alot o bass isherman, mostly striper isherman on the lake right now. Through blades and crankbaits to cover some water and locate ish, i you ind one there are usually a ew more there. The good weather seems to turn the bass and the bait ish on. Fish Hard and Be Patient.

Report: Wow, way to go, twoody. Seems like you igured out the same thing I did today. LoL. Only you had it igured out yesterday. haha. I just got home rom ishing today and saw your report. But yeh...go senkos! LoL. First o all...since there are no boats (or loat tubes) allowed in the lake right now, o course I just banked it today. Well, today just goes to show ya...you never know when big momma is gonna come along. LoL. I stuck mysel my irst 8lb Contra Loma bass today. It was a beautiul thing. Har HAR! There is a pic over at the ranger's station...not that great...the lady stood a little too ar away...LOL...but I took my own pics, and hopeully they turn out better and I can post them on the site here. Anywho, she weighed 8lbs 1oz and was caught in about 1.5t o water. That was the irst ish o the day, then I proceeded to catch 4.5, 3, and 3.5lb ish. LoL, ater that 8, I tossed those ish back in the water like nothin'. haha. Also, I ound some small males bustin' on the shad again in a cove, so I tried a little somethin' dierent this time and had some un with them. I proceeded to catch close to 20 o the little males in the 10-12" range. I used a little Roostertail spinnerbait with 6lb test. That was pretty un. haha. I also stuck one good Crappie close to 2lbs in the mix eeding on the shad. Oh, and the 8lber was caught on the same bait that caught the Delta record last year...Black w/ Blue Flake Senko!...also, don't know i it makes much dierence...but I was usin' a bright red shiny hook. LoL. PLUS...I had the senko rigged backwards. The ront end was already all ripped up rom doing a lot o lippin' earlier...
      City: Antioch

Tips: Don't even worry about movin' that senko...dead stick it. Every bass I caught hit the senko within 5 seconds ater it hit the water and the way down...

      Water Temp: 57 to 61

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Headed out late monday, on the water by 4:45 pm. Headed straight to big cove and started throwing blades down the north bank, grey skirt w/ silver and copper blades. Just about to the end o the cove, threw one cast right along a grass line, two cranks later a nice 5lb 3oz emale with a ull belly hammered the blades, a good ight, ripped some drag. Got one more in big cove, smallest ish all year a dink. Ran over to a cove just south o barn cove and landed 2 more nice 3lber's eeding on shad piled up in the back o the cove. Hit barn cove just beore it got to dark and had a hawg hit it right at the boat and throw it just as quick as he hit it. I estimated a good 6 to 7 lber, gaugeing by the size o its bucketmouth I saw my spinnerbait come out o just as it came to the surace. STILL FEELING BITTER! Finished the night o good with a 3lb 10oz largie on the last cast. O the water by 7:00 pm.

      Water Temp: 58-59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Sunday aternoon rom 2:00pm to dark. The smallie's are done in the North end and the carp are loaded in the usual spawning lats. Water was dirty with only 3-4 inches o visability. Went back towards Markley with much cleaner water and slightly cooler, 57-58. Picked up 5-6 ish on L.C. 90sp rip baits and Frenzy crank baits, a 3.0 largemouth on a carolina rigged baby hog and 2 or three senko ish beore I caught my biggest ish this year , 11.4 on my scale which is about 6 oz. light. Perectly marked at and ull o eggs, what a ish. I had not seen another boat bass ishing all aternoon and I really wanted a picture o this ish beore I released her hopeully where I caught her and not at the ramp. Went around the corner and in the next cove was another bass boat who was nice enough to oer when asked to snap a shot. They had there own "Big Girl" too. Since they did not have a scale I oered mine and their ish went 9.6lbs, what a pair o ish. Ater the picture I put her in the water and moved her in a couple o igure eights and then she gave me the tail.
      City: Sacramento,

Tips: Smallmouth are done in the north and about done in the south as I say alot og empty beds. The large mouth are just starting and should be locked on beds this week. Please remember to release the largemouth as soon as possible and where caught so she can do her duty. Do the smallie's and the large mouth a avor and keep a limit o spots.
