Water Temp: cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Back agin or another season. Started out late this year. Shouldve been ishing 3 weeks ago. Blame it on all the rain! Went it early am, very oggy morning. Quite a ew boats already on the water. We tried all the hotspots on the lake starting with Yorty creek. We threw yellow spinnerbaits to no avail, switched to senkos & inally got some hookups, nothing to brag about, in act noone will ever see these ish as they were released as ast as they were unhooked. The digital camera is still at zero. Best was 3 lbs. skinny & very pale. Need a week o hot weather. Going to skip a couple o weeks, next week going to hunt a private ranch or the opener o Turkey season, 2nd week going down to La Paz or some R&R! Lake is super ull & really too cold yet! I think with the rising levels the ront that's coming in pushed ish deeper into a no action mode.
City: san ranciscoTips: Fish really slow with worms & ix your up house & wait til it gets warmer! Plus gas is way too high

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: John Fernandez and mysel went to Calero last Friday rom 11:30am to 2:00pm. The lake is really low right now. We started in the back cove with no luck or the irst hour or so. We then headed to the rock wall opposite the launch ramp ater all the pleasure boats let. We caught 3 ish o the rocks with earthwork 4 1/2" Roboworms an another on a Luck Crat Pointer 78 Rip Bait. We then proceeded to the southeast part o the lake were it is only 1' to 1.5' deep right now and I threw my Pointer 78 in the shallows. Next thing I know it gets killed. I yelled to John (Get the net, it is at least 15lbs. Anyway when I inally got it up it was hooked in the back and it weighed only :)6.25lbs. Sure was a rush though.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Thought with the 6.2 high and 0 low tide it would be Katie Bar the Door. Boy was I ever wrong!! The water actually dropped one degree rom last week and I couldn't make them bite anything. Got one that was barely a keeper at 8:45. At noon I started cranking outside weedlines until my hands hurt and landed a 1#, 2#, 2.5# & a 3#. Managed to scratch up a ew ish and enjotyed the day with my daughter in the boat.
City: San Ramon -
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Didn't get out until around 1pm. Threw my avorite Viper blade which is usually money but had no takers. I noticed that I actually scared some ish with it which was surprising. So, went to plastics and tried to inesse these skittish ish. They wouldn't touch my lizard or tube. Not a typical Delta day or me. Went or a dierent type o reaction bite with buzzbait and proceeded to catch 2 ish in a row, a 1# and a 4#. Then or the next hour and a hal caught 5 more ish up to 2.5# and missed several really nice blow ups. The bite suddenly shut down and was o the water by 5:30pm.
Tips: Persistence and experience pays o once in a while.

Water Temp: ???
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well, as ar as water level and clarity goes...the lake is down about 2t rom it's ullest, and the water clarity seems to be about 2-3t. But as Josh said, as long as the national security level is still up, there's not going to be any boats or anything o the sort launched at the lake. I learned that today mysel as I walked up and over the backside by the dam with my loat tube, only to have a ranger come screamin' around the lake in his truck to tell me I couldn't launch. Eugh. Lousy Iraq. So I just set my loat tube and gear down right there on the rocks by the dam and ished the rocks. Like I reported earlier...there's a TON o shad along those rocks right now and bass eating them, but the majority o those bass were just the small males. Well, I'm not sure what it was today, but bigger ish did indeed move up on the rocks or those shad. I started o just chuckin' a shad colored Rat-L-Trap. I saw the loads o shad and the bass bustin' on 'em, but I immediately noticed that the size o the splashes amoungst the shad were much bigger today than normal. Maybe it was the wind blowin' against that bank pretty good today that brought the big girls up there. Well, I was speedin' my Rat-L-Trap along the rocks when all o the sudden it just came to a dead stop...like it got stuck in the rocks...so I kind o jerked my rod reel quick to try and ree it rom the rocks...only to have my rod jerked back in the other direction! Pulled in a nice 5.5lber. GREAT ight. She just didn't seem to want to give up. Almost thought I had mysel a striper on a ew times with the way she was ightin'...strippin' out line and everything. Real CHUNKY ish....deinitely a pre-spawn emale. Anywho, nothin' would hit the Rat-L-Trap ater that...proceeded to try a spinnerbait and jig-n-pig along the rocks with no success, then I tried a suspending jerkbait also in shad pattern. I stuck another good and FAT 3lber with that, then lost what elt like to was one about the same size. Ater that I started gettin' hungry and packed it up or Carl's Jr...
City: AntiochTips: Shad pattern lures sure seemed to do it today...

Water Temp: 49.5-52.0
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished rom 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on new water. Looked at the north ork and the temp. was 48-49 so I did not even put the Min-kota in the water. Went to the south ork and New York with a little better temps 52.0. Picked up three ish all quality spots on yum tubes and one on a baby hog. Had to let it sit on the bottom in order to get bit. The water is up at least 5 eet over last Thursday aternoon and the temp is down 3 deg. or so. I would expect a slow bite or the next ew weeks due to illing with snow melt. Interesting thing happened in New York, all o a sudden the bass were breaking water everywhere with what looked like shad being chased. My buddy states I think it's carp but no you could see the small mouth coloration perectly. About that time two ish and game pontoons came around the corner, one on each bank shocking the ish or I suppose a count. Glad I was not swimming. Where are the lice when you need them?
City: SacramentoTips: Slow plastics almost deadsticking on the bottom. Nothing on any reaction bait used. The ish we caught were in 10 eet or less and we ished out to 20 .

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Hello bass ishing people. On 3/12/03, I caught a 12 lb. smallmouth on a Berkeley pumpkinseed 4" worm. This was around 8 am in the morning. One hour ater I arrived at the lake. I had just gone up to the lake the day beore (The weather was nice and warm)where I saw some trout being caught and some bluegill or redear being caught as well. But this day, the weather had cooled down slightly. I started out plugging with the 4" worm slowly in the same area where I saw these ish being caught. I kept telling mysel that something (small bass) should have hit it by now but I knew something was wrong. No wonder the big bass were in (spawning)and perhaps this is why I didn't get any bites right away (They were on patrol - eeding). When this big bass hit I knew he was huge. I had a ight on my hands. He jumped three times. It took me about 5-7 minutes to bring him in. I had just added 10 lb. test line Tuesday night. The last time I caught a big bass at Lake Hennessey (10 lb. smallmouth bass) was back in 1993. I was very blessed to have caught this bass. I caught this ish about 40-50 yards let side o the boat launch on the bank. I didn't have a boat. Lots o underwater grass and structure. Don't be ooled. Take care and have un. Robert (Woody)

Report: Spent the whole day at the lake shore ishing or my Birthday. First got started ishing or trout at the Marina with one small bow.In the aternoon I decided to try at the Steel Docks and ound one ish sitting on a bed and was able to piss him o on a 4in Magic Worm. Went 13 inches, threw him back.Around 2:30PM went out to the coves and points above the spillway and walked the banks. Spoke to another guy that was bank bassin' and said he hooked over 20 bass over a 5 hour period.I tried it out with my texas-rigged Magic Worms and stued 3 ish within a two hour period then it slowed down. Got another ish on a Carolina-Rigged Brush Hog, and one last ish on a blue jig&pig.Kept three ish or some ilets. Good day o ishing!
