Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Made it out on the lake ater a 3 week hiatus and it sure was a pleasant suprise. Ater all this heat the ish are still accessable in 15-20'. Did real well on smallies to 3lb and LM to 4.5 on a Gitzit.Caught a dozen keepers ( best 5 about 14lb ) rom 7 till 11. This sure beats some Augusts I can remember. The lake lice didn't even get too thick until 10;30.
City: WeavervilleTips: In response to the previous report and his comment about the locals, I am pretty sure I know who you are reerring and he isn't a local. In act I suspect that there are very ew locals on the water these days as they realize that in another couple o weeks we can go ishing and not have to put up with the summertime rude behavior.

Water Temp: 70 something
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A later start than I wanted as we didnt get on the water till 8:20 or a little nonexistant topwater action. At dusk, Kris was getting dink bit up shallow on the windy side o rattlesnake island, so I drug my worm deeper and picked up a 4.3. Next point on island gave him a 6.7. Got a quick photo o his big ish or the year and I picked up a 5.7.---Wow, almost 17 lbs or 3 ish in an hour? Next rockpile we ished all around or 2 short ish. I picked up a nonworm rod and got slacklined and stuck a 5.0.....thank you god! Shag rock was dead or no bites, Henderson dead too w/50million bats hitting our lines.........next 2 spots dead also?? The only thing I can igure is a small ront came through as the south wind blew that night or a coupla hours between 12-2am. I dumped a 2 or so near wheeler and we each caught a 2 lb ish there a little later. Let @ 2:15
City: Yuba CityTips: I tried areas that produce during the day or me. Several were good, several that are usually good at night were dead.

Water Temp: 79.6
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: went in at 0515 at Packers just behind my team partner Bryce and his wie Susan, got my wie along with me and launched in the dark, made irst cast on the irst point out and caught a small spot on a jig, lake down past 60 t and still dropping like a rock, moved out to the island just coming up and miss a couple and the wie sticks a 12 incher while Bryce is across the way putting one in the boat on a top water bait, it got light enough to run so the wie and I ran up the Sac to Marshmallow point and picked up a bit o wind when we turned the corner at Sacramento Point, she boats another and we move down the point where we pick up some yellow jackets tht start buzzing around. The wie hates these bugs so I ire it up and run south to potty point at 70 and stop to toss a rip bait and 2 yellow jackets show up immediately, move down the bank a bit and here come some more, the wie is really getting nervous as I swat one and that seems to attract some more. O we go or the ramp and got out at 745 am, irst time a bug has run me o the lake, even ound a bunch buzzing around the parking lot at Packers, water a little clearer this am, in at 73 degrees and out at 79 degrees on the way to 106 ater 112 yesterday, most report very slow ishing including the trout and salmon trollers.
City: ReddingTips: 1/2 oz jigs was all we threw today in pumpkin pepper and watermelon green.

Trinity Lake

Water Temp: 77
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The ishing continues to be good a Trinity with 2-3 pound small mouths on main lake points or rocky shorelines with stumps on them. Try the sort o east-west running shorline across rom Bragdon Gulch. We used 6 inch green magic worms and 4.5 inch Roboworms in Baby Bass color, to catch ish. More largemouth came this year than in years past but it was the smallies that gave the best time. Our pattern held in the mornings and mid-aternoon ater 3, when shadows began to all on the water.
City: BelmontTips: Be wary o some o the locals, they are downright hostile toward ishermen rom out o the area and do not like anyone ishing within sight o them. There is one guy in a Whaler with a 70 Evinrude that is downright crazy.

I ended the day sipping my favorite beverage, pineapple juice...I love bass fishing!

Report: On the water at 7 am. Low water level and murky water clarity topped w/algae. Started at the south end o the o limits bouy line and picked up three 13" to 15" ish right away split shotting plastics. Nothing or the next two hours until we ished the mid-lake rock piles. Wie and I picked up one more 14" bass each and then called it a day at 11 am as the air temp. start rising.
City: DelhiTips: Caught our ish split shotting watermelon baby brush hogs and 4" curly tail motoroil worms. Be careul because o multiple unmarked submerged humps and rock piles. Enough algae loating to gum up the reels so we'll have to strip o the line and clean them beore we respool.
