      Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My client and I tried to see i it was possible to catch ish ater a major holiday weekend. I guess all we had to do was read the previous report! Thankully, we didn't have any wind problems but did have the usual recent Clear Lake problem - not many bites! We started ishing about 7 PM and tried some rog areas and a little topwater. Nothing! So I took him to an area that had been good just beore dark, and it paid o again - thankully or him!! He was using my avorite black/chartreuse 10" Power worm, and set into a good one in about 15 eet o water. Boy! - was I excited when I saw it, and DISAPPOINTED when I lited it into the boat. This bass either was the president o the underwater weight watchers club, or she had 15000 kids!! She was about 26 inches and weighed 6 lbs 6 oz. Talk about skinny!! She should have been 7 easy! But as those ish usually do - what a ight!! That was it beore dark. Ater dark, about an hour later, my client got another on the same worm - about 3 1/4. We ished several other areas with only a ew bites. Finally I was able to impress my client with a giant 1 1/2 pounder on a big tube bait. Lunker Lar strikes again!!! We moved to another area and the main man got another nice bass at 4 pounds - I think on the same worm. I ended the evening with another amazing ish - about 2 pounds! At least we got a limit - about 16 1/2 pounds. I went out or about 2 1/2 hours today, mostly to look around. I ished a little and did catch a 4 pounder on a 6 inch number 301 Senko, on the edge o a weed patch. Man, I love that color! I did get one nice ish to ollow a rog to the boat, but she waved and let!!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Since my client is ishing a tournament, I won't mention speciic areas as is my policy in that situation. He should do well - he is a good isherman with a good hookset. I will say that I am really concerned about the weed slayers that were out in orce today in their airboats. They are spraying (pelleting) anything that moves, and in areas that they just don't need to do it. It is not a hydrilla problem - I think they need to spend their grant money. This is going to make or some tough daytime ishing I ear, not to mention that the un o rog ishing may be mostly over at Clear Lake. It won't help the night ishing either. For those o you that think that the bass "are still all there", and granted, there are still a lot o bass at Clear Lake, many o the bass that usually hold in certain areas this time o year are not showing up on the meter or on the hook. They probably have moved to new weedy homes!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched rom Orwood at 5:00 PM and ished three hours. Fished in the connection slough area at incoming high tide. HOT!!!With almost no boat traic...Tried rogs or 1 hour without a bump. Switched to some clean rock wall and caught 8 ish on cranks. The ish were small in the 11-14 inch range...Headed or the barn and stopped on an odd looking tule coniguration and caught two on spinnerbait that went 2lbs.
      City: discovery bay

Tips: The usual patterns apply...Cranks will catch good numbers o ish and keep your mind occupied. Bigger ish are coming on Spinnerbaits and topwater. Need to just sit down on some mats and not leave to get the real big ish...I'm still searching or answers mysel. Have un and stay sae.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Luanched at B&W and was on the water at 5:30am. Didn't expect so much wind. Made the rough ride to isherman's cut and caught a 2lber on a white blade and that was it. Headed down toward Frank's and ished the channel on the north side and picked up a keeper and a dink in a watermelon red/blk lake senko. Missed a couple on the senko also. Decided to get out o the wind so I started heading back toward B&W on my way to Oxbow marina. Got so wet on the way I decided to head home instead. O the water by 9:30.
      City: Isleton

Tips: Fished a buzzer a little with no success. Senkos always catch ish. Not much action on the blade. I dont have a clue what to do. I its not the pleasure boaters its the wind. Have your choice.

Ater working a buzzbait over a pipe I threw a senko, BANG a nice 2+ lber. Worked my way around an island with a rog, I looked out inront o me I saw wood sticking up. So I threw a senko on the wood. Every piece o wood had a 2+ or 3 lber waiting or me which I was happy to put in the boat. Went around the corner to a rip-rap wall BANG 2+ lber. Here comes the water skiers, so I moved o to an out o the way spot. Low tide with muddy water and no current. BANG a 8+ lber ell to a watermelon red lake senko worked on a rock pile. (HAPPY HOLIDAYS FOR ME!) I started cranking grasslines picking up more 2 lb ish. Moved to an under water edge throwing a crankbait hooked up a 4/5 lber. which threw my bait back to me. Moved to some gin clear water with trees Threw a trick worm BANG BANG BANG BANG and losted all 4 ish in the trees.

      Water Temp: 80 surace

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: First time on lake in over a year.Tried many dierent styles and the dropshot won. Hands down best bite. Caught one quality smallie pushin' 3lbs next to the tower section o the dam. The ish was about 30' down. Then went to some northern points that extended way out into the lake and started inding some nice blacks. They were on the bank down to 20+. They seemed to be spread out pretty good so moving steadily down the banks was a good way to ind the active ish. I could see many very nice sized smallies and blacks cruzing the rocky points I was ishing but everytime I could see them they we're looking at me and would bolt o. These ish seem to be very smart and tough to catch and that is the draw or me to this lake. It is great practice and the rewards this lake can give you are truely worth the eort. All ish caught were busting at the seams as this lake has alot o good orage or them.
      City: Mountain View

Tips: 6lb line and 6" worms on dropshot was what worked the best or me. No crushing hits, just subtle takes. I did get two ish on topwater later in the evening and missed a ew.

      Water Temp: 78.5

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The Lake is really low, it was airly calm with some morning coastal og until about 12:30pm I started throwing a mega bass giant dog-x top water lure. never have I ever caught so many bass at lake casitas like this day. All morning I was cacthing Bass rangeging rom 3 to 5 pounds, also caught a 7.5 pounder using the same bait. I also lost about 4 other bass that might have been in the range o 5 to 10 pounds but I had my darn drag set too tight, so I kept ripping lips. inally I set my drag just right. I continued working the shore lines. throwing my bait believe it or not I was still catching bass in the 5 pound range till about 12:30 pm. As soon as the sun came out the bass scatterd like roaches into deep water and the un was over.I also caught about 2 more bass just dragging a reaper. but nothing else, just about then the wind kicked up and I thru a lucky crat top water bait to the shore line and caught 2 more bass in the range o about 3 pounds each. Thats all the ino that I have or you. Good Fishing
      City: Hesperia

Tips: This time o the year bass are more agressive in the morning, do to the act o the water temp, being just right. and more bait travling along the shores in balls. Bass will move in and out orm shore eeding on shads. and an ocasional crawish i they can ind them. My tip to you is to work those shore lines like crazy untill the sun comes up. work the water anywhere rom 4 20 eet deep, and yes they will come up and get that bait even rom deep water.

      Water Temp: ???

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Once again, went out to look or some bigger ish in the loat tube today. Went straight out to my rockpile and ished everywhere rom 5-30t o water. Spent most o my day here tryin' to get some ish to go. Just didn't happen though. Tried a c-rigged worm, spinnerbait, drop-shottin' inesse worms, various t-rigged worms, crankbait, and a jig. Tried them all at all depths. Nothin' produced. Best I got was I had a good hit on a t-rigged Toledo Tickler worm made by ReAction Lures that bit the worm right in hal. Ater spending a couple o hours on the rockpile without an succuss, I looked around and started makin' my way to those new rocks at the swim area. First pass, threw a jig, nothin'. Second pass, crankbait, nothin'. Next pass, drop-shottin' a 4" baby ring ry made by Lake Fork Tackle...picked up 6 bass. These were no small bass either. I ound the better ish inally. These were all in the 3-4lb range and I even lost one that would've gone maybe 5-5.5lbs. I caught all 6 o those bass within the last 45 minutes beore I had to leave too.
      City: Antioch

Tips: Try drop-shotting around the rocks in 7-10t o water or the better ish right now. Suspend your bait about a oot o the bottom...

      Water Temp: unknown

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: me and my buddy tubed the back ponds on the 2nd. we caught nine bass, not much size with the biggest being around 3 and a hal coming on a spinnerbait. most were caught on senkos and a zara puppy. there were a lot o ish chasin baitish right on the surace, so a spinnerbait and topwater through the schools o baitish worked well.
      City: danville

Tips: out in the middle throw topwater and throw topwater along or over the weedbeds. senkos along structure....o course
