Report: All right!! A nite trip to Amador!! Full moon!! Gonna get me dem BASS!! Sandwichs, snacks, two thermos o coee. Get to the lake about 1pm. And the motor won't start... oh well ...the grass needed mowing anyways. But! I just paid $21 and I got a trolling motor!! Ease out on the lake and the trout ishers are killing them! My third cast I catch a 2.5 bass on my avorite Disco plug. And then nothing. I ease my way down to Jackson Creek tossing crankbaits, spinner baits, and a 10" black worm...nada. Not even seeing any bass. Wind is blowing straight into Jackson Creek and it's a long ways back on the trolling motor. And now my depth inder in the ront o the boat dies. Zip (well..crawl) into Cat Cove and decide I'm gonna see i I can get the damn motor running. Duck into a windree cove, ease up to the bank. Pop the cover and I'm getting uel. Pull the plugs and clean them up. As I'm leaning over the back o the boat putting the plugs back in, a pair o 5 pound bass come cruising by! I start tossing hardware and no takers. Engine still dead. Putting the cover on the motor and I look down and sitting there by the prop is the biggest bass I've ever seen! I ain't never had my hands on a 10 pounder but this was at least that!! Fat! Hadn't spawned yet or been eating good on those trout. I could have sworn that the ish were there to entertain me and now I'm entertaining them! Troll my way back to the dock and pack it up. It just weren't meant to be. Now I'll be up all night. Got two thermos o good coee that I can't let go to waste.
City: SloughhouseTips: Can't help ya on the bass. Troll or trout. they were culling anything under 20 inches on some boats.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: This report is a ew days late because I was getting a new computer! I guided Tues and Wed evenings and the ishing was good or quality bass but not or big bass. The most amazing thing about the two trips was that the lake was DEAD calm both nights - no pesky east breeze because o the cloud cover. Two clients and I caught 11 bass up to 3 1/2 pounds Tues evening, mostly on 6 and 8 inch worms in black/chartreuse and junebug. The ish were airly shallow and were caught all over the lake. Wed evening the bite was a little better - maybe because the cloud cover was thicker. One client and I caught 12 bass but missed several or some reason. Our 5 biggest were right at 17 1/2 pounds with a 4-10 largest, caught on a black/chartreuse Weapon Jig. I also caught a 4 pounder on a #301 Senko just beore dark. My client caught several nice bass up to 3 3/4 pounds, using worms. Our quality ish ater dark were a little deeper or some reason. We both lost a good ish! Again, we ished all over the lake - no real hot spots.
City: Yuba CityTips: The slowed we ished our baits the better the success. The ish have seem to have moved out o the coves, at least or the time being. Most o out ish were caught in main body areas. The quality was excellent - only one or two dinks or the two trips. I think the bass averaged about 2 1/2 pounds!

Report: Fished rom 7 am to 5 pm. First time on the lake, so take that into account.Caught six ish, the largest about 3 lbs -- nice ish, nice ight. Didn't see many people catching more bass, but saw some nice trout being pulled out by trollers. Lost two big ones, including one that dived under my boat and disgorged the hook. Too bad, but that happens.I tried a little bit o everything, but caught all o my ish on red w/black speckled Yamamoto 4" grubs. No luck in the main channel but did OK in the coves. Graphed a lot o ish on the bottom, in ~ 30' o water.
City: BelmontTips: Like I said, red w/black speckled plastic was the only thing that worked or me.

Spoke to another guy that was bank bassin' and said he hooked over 20 bass over a 5 hour period.I tried it out with my texas-rigged Magic Worms and stued 3 ish within a two hour period then it slowed down. Report: My son and I launched boat about 5:45pm with high hopes and only 2 other trailers in parking lot. We started ishing near the spillway heading into a sti breeze. Caught 2 small bass on senko midway into cove. Scot caught 2 on brown power worm and then switched to 6" black and caught some more up to 2.5 lbs. No action in the back o the coves headed back out to the points and switched to split shot, as temperature was dropping and moon had popped out o clouds. Picked up a ew on points and had about 10 ish in 4 hours with the best 4.2. Fishing with my son at Amador at night with a ull moon, hoping his next bite is a 10 lber, is worth $28.00!
City: FolsomTips: Due too dropping temperatures we downsized and caught some ish, I hope I can remember that at the next tourney.

We tried everything, but nothing seemed to work. Only one spot had catchable trout, next to the boat launch, but it was so damn clogged with people it was impossible to get a spot. Maybe next time.
City: San JoseTips: Graphed lots o Bass o almost every point. Probably need to ish it slow.

Report: Just a little report...Walked the banks above the spillway rom 2:30PM to dusk. Slow action but got two ish on a 4' Magic Worm. Took a while or me to ind the ish, but once I ound them I got quite a ew strikes. The ish were picking up the bait pretty sotly which suggests the water temp is still a little cold. Finished the evening ishing or Crappie at the Marina. Ended up with 6 slabs which are being prepared right now or the rying pan!

Report: Fished Friday morning or about 4 hours started out in the coves by the spillway with no luck. Threw a castaic swim bait or a while with no bites. Then headed to the mountain spring area and hooked the irst ish about an hour ater getting started caught in about 15 t. a decent 2.7 on a ootball headed jig trailered with a Kinami DT hula grub. O o the same wall about 10 minutes later hooked into another ish this one weighing 2.5.Partner hooked up with a small bass on a 7" crawdad colored culprit worm. Continued working deeper into the cove with no success, then headed back to the same wall and hooked up again into a 2.6. Began heading back towards the camp dock and stopped to ish the camp dock cove. Caught a 1.6 o the rocky bank. Partner managed to catch one more ish on that crawdad worm this one was a 1.9 in the cove next to the camp dock. Report: Sorry about the late report. I went up last Tue. evening, started about 7 pm. Spent the irst hour getting all my warm clothes on and getting used to the cold wind coming down the canyon, then I started catching a ew bass up in Jackson, but the bite was slow. About 11 pm I went into the back o Rock creek and ound several 3 to 4 lb. bass right on the bank. Then I went back into Jackson and ound a school o 3 to 7 lb. bass hitting big worms in 6 to 35 t. like it was there last meal. By 3 am I had caught about 25 bass and then the bite slowed. I continued to ish untill morning, started to rain, went home.
City: SacramentoTips: Full moon, storm ront approaching, go ishing. 11" Gator Tail worms, Dead Ringers and Camanche Water Dragons. Work the steep banks up-river.
