Water Temp: 58-60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Stayed on the main lake all day. The lake is coming up an inch or two a day so they must have just pulled the plug on Coyote up above whatever reason. Fish were in the 10-15 ft range eating jigs until noon or so then my guest and I moved off and caught fish shaking and dropshotting in 25-40..Fish mudlines to catch better quality. My guest for the day had a 5+ come unbuttoned on a jig. Greens and browns for the jigs and shad colored baits for plastics. Boated 20 or so keepers.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Great day on Anderson. No wakeboarders made the lake a peaceful experience for a change and the fish were happy also. I caught 18 nice fish but all were under 2lbs. I used three different presentations and caught about an equal number of fish on each. I fished a carolina rigged brush hog, a speed trap crank bait and a Yamamoto Hula grub on a 1/2oz football jig head. There were about 4 bass boats on the lake and they all caught fish. Most I spoke to were drop shotting with good success.
City: Foster CityTips: For larger fish look for deeper water 20-35 ft and use a veritcal presentation. For smaller fish go shallow near vegitation. The lake was very quiet without the ski boats and I think that really helped the bite. Everybody out there caught fish including the very young kids that I saw in at least three boats leaning from their fathers - pretty neat.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Pretty tough day for me and my brother as usual. The fish seem to bite best when I'm fishin' alone. We worked very hard for about 20 fish and they were all barely keeper size. We could not find a solid pattern because some came shallow and some came deep on reaction and finnese presentations. I'm confused. Oh well, better than getting skunked I guess. Honestly, we had lots of fun just being out there.
City: San JoseTips: Snags are abundant here so bring lots of gear. As far as lures and technique they all work. Plastics on the bottom is always a sure thing.

Water Temp: n/a
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A bit late for posting this report, but here it goes. Fished Anderson on Saturday Oct 16, 04. Condition looked good, pre-front, overcasted sky. First time fishing there. Went with two friends. At the gate, paid $5 to enter and a ranger gave us some precaution about mercury in the fish. Well, we normally catch-and-release, so no problem. Started fishing at 8AM near the boat ramp (from shore). Shoreline access was quite limitted. Nothing for the first 30 mins. Moved toward the dam and started catching fish. Caught 5 on Rat-L-Trap and 3 on Brushhog. Bigger fish (well not that big, around 2-3lbs class) were caught on brushhog. Stayed until 2PM and drove to the other side (east side??). Water was a lot shallower. Couldn't get any bite there. Called it a day around 3PM. (Not bad for the first time. Might come back with a float tube.)
City: Palo AltoTips: Brushhog in watermelon color. (The dam is loaded with crawdad.)

Water Temp: 70ish
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: went to anderson, caught 5 in 3hrs. fished the shore, lots of 1-2inch shad running the shoreline. My best bet is that the bass are eating them, try cranks spinners robo's and other shad baits to immatate them.
City: s.j.Tips: best of luck

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Stayed away from this lake until after Labor day due to the weekend reservation policy and boat traffic. Got on the lake at 0830. Started near the dock with top water. Banged a 2lb bass on a chug bait. Exploded on the bait. Nothing else on top water. Started working rocky shore in deeper water - nothing. Moved up shallow and worked the mud lines caused by the excessive boat traffic. That is where the fish were. Caught 24 fish, all small in mud lines from 3-8 ft deep. Caught all but one on carolina rigged plastics. Caught one on drop shot. Fun day except for the boat traffic which was passing within mere feet of my boat. They have no respect for fisherman. I stayed busy all day. Off the water at 2:30. Two boats got into a dispute (water rage) and the entire fleet of County Sheriff cars showed up at the launch ramp.
City: Foster CityTips: Tried crank bait, drop shot, spinner bait with not a bite. Go with soft plastics shallow on flats with deep water near by. Work shore where boat waves create mud lines. If no luck move deeper. Bigger fish were probably in deeper water. Lots of suspended fish if you know how to catch them. I haven't figured that out yet. There were only two fishing boats on the lake.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Caught 4 bass today. All small... Caught 2 fish on a senko. Another one on a spinnerbait. Managed several bites with a jig w/ yamamto grub in really deep water but I only got 1 bass off of that.

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Tough day for fishing. Used some of the AM fishing time helping a poor guy who just bought a used 19 ft Ranger and launched for its maiden run without the plug. It was a wrestling match to get it floating again but we did it. He got it running for a few minutes but it quit with water in the gas or oil or both.
By the time I got a line in the water there were tons of boats on the lake. It was not fun. Managed only 5 fish. Larges was 3lbs. Used grubs, carolina brush hog, and dart head worm. Main lake points in 15-17 ft. on drop offs.
City: Foster CityTips: Don't fish this lake on the weekend until Sept. Too many boats that seem to come right at you while you wonder if they see you. If you don't have any other place to go then plastics in a variety of presentations off the points. Hula Grubs caught the bigger fish over other method. Nothing on drop shot.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Caught 1 from shore useing a blue grub bait from berkley, it was small but still ok size(1 lb). Other than that nothing from shore. Other people were cathing 10+ from there boats. Its just to hard to move around when your on shore. good luck.
City: san joseTips: there are a lot of boats out there so its best to go later around 4. And if you have a boat use it!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Great Day to go fishing...We jigged a watermelon yamamato grub for most of the day. Caught 3 on that and mist a lot of hits swimmin it back up to the surface from deeper water. Then we also caught one on a senko and the other on a ratltrap. They were all small fish. Fished the west side of the lake going south of the damn.
City: Morgan HillTips: i seemed to get a lot of hits swimmin this weedless football head yamamato grub back up from deeper water, so it might be a good idea to cast the grub in about 10 to 20 feet of water maybe even deeper and just let it sink to the bottom and varie the speed of your retrieves (try slow or fast) back up to the water

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I wouldn't call it "clear" but there is 3-4' vis at the dam with a little less around the rest of the lake depending on boats and wind.Water quality is good with a lot of shoreline brush.
Excellent fishing for numbers ..the hard part is getting size consistantly. Water level is holding pretty steady and down maybe 20'. Jigs fished 5-30' will get keepers all day but covering water with a fat free crank is getting better quality for me.
Dragging worms, jigs, dartheads ect on main lake pionts and steep hard bottom banks for numbers.Once the wind and boat wakes pick up crank the mud lines for better fish. Havn't thrown a blade much but it might be a good idea.

Water Temp: 73
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got on the lake at the worst time of day - 3:00PM. Fished for 3 hrs and caught 7 bass up to 2 lbs. Caught fish on drop shot, carolina rig, and hula grub in 5-20 ft. Most fish were taken on points or off shore structure shallow to deep drops. Tried weed lines with no luck. Nothing on reaction baits. No other fishing boats on the lake for good reason.
City: Foster CityTips: Don't go at 3:00. Too many boats. Soft plastics in deeper water if you fish mid day. Find an edge and fish the deep side.

Water Temp: 73
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started when the lake opened. It was overcast and a light breeze. The conditions had spinner bait written all over. NOT. Moved around to various weed lines and main lake points using different rigs and not a bite. Finally at 12:00 with the sun finally out and the wind really coming up and the ski traffic at its peak I finally got my first fish. In the next three hours I caught 17 bass up to 2.5lbs. Used dart head, drop shot, and carolina rigged plastics in 8-17 ft. I moved around to various points but most fish were taken on off shore structure (hump)with a 6ft - 26ft drop. Fish were stacked up on the drop. Wind and waves pushing across the structure turned the bite on. Could not believe that boats were coming by so close it was nearly swamping my aluminum boat and the fish were still biting. Fun time.
City: Foster CityTips: Don't give up. Soft plasitics in 5-20 ft of water worked best for me on shallow to deep water drop off. Drag it off the ledge and keep the line tight because the bite was very subtle. That is tough in wind and waves but manditory if you want to put fish in the boat at this lake.

Water Temp: 70-71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 8-11, caught 6 decent bass on a variety of plastics. Biggest one was just under 3 lbs. and was caught on a Texas rigged Roboworm. Once the sun came up I had the best luck with Carolina rigged baby brush hogs.
City: San JoseTips: Fish the shoreline early and the main lake points later in the day.

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished 8:30AM to 2:00PM. Picked up 16 fish all small, 2lbs or less. Started with a reaction bite early on spinner bait. Slowed down after 9:30 so I swithed to carolina rigged soft plastics and drop shot. Mainly fished points with wind or boat waves coming directly onto the point. Fish were shallow to about 17 ft.
City: Foster CityTips: Reaction baits early followed by soft plastics.
