    Water Temp: 59-63

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lake is in great shape!! Todays guide trip was with Chris Young of San Jose and Nate Sullivan of Venice,Ca. Wind out of north kept us on are toes but it was managable.

We covered a lot of water with reaction stuff for 0 bites!! That suprised me. We did find a couple of banks loaded with keepers but no size. These guys were good sticks and kept there head down and fished hard through a tough mid day bite and in the process brought 20+ keepers to the boat. Many many short strikes today!! They are return customers and it was fun to get on the boat with them again.

Tips: Large Plastics fished slow in the 5-10' range.

    Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Well I first hit Coyote at 7am and decided at 8:30am without a bite to shoot to Anderson. Caught a good 20 fish all on a ripbait, most small fish with a few 2lb'ers mixed in. Had quite a few larger fish take a swipe at the ripbait at the boat. Tells me they were deeper, tried throwing a jig and blade with no sucess. All fish came in 5-8' of water.

    Water Temp: ???

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Sounds like the truth to me man!! Most of these people have no common sense about their surroundings, going clockwise of a clockwise lake, etc. That's why if at all possible I try to duck out into the sucluded coves, and sometimes even the really stupid ass holes just go running through in a no wake zone. Well I guess it's just something were gonna have to try to deal with, because there really is no shortage of ass hole out on the water. I know this isn't really a fishing report but I to think that this is an important issue.

    Water Temp: 54-55

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Sat and Sun. Sun day with the paulboro man. Managed 10+ both days but most fish 1 to 1.5 lbs with the biggest going 2 to 2.5. Threw a lot at em, Jigs, Blades, Traps, Cranks, but dropshot and splitshot got em. Tried to get a bigger bite but just couldn't find em.
    City: San Carlos

Tips: Find fish in 5-15 ft. Robo's, Senkos, Iovino's, BBH's, all worked. Sorry but I cannot reveil the Paulboro Mans secret rig of the day.

    Water Temp: 51

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the lake at 8:15am and started fishing a rocky point and got my first fish of the year. And boy was it a great start, it was a 5.2 large mouth, what a toad and a fight. Managed 5 fish before the rain started. Caught all 5 fish on a pumpkin hula grub.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Fish deep and slow, somtimes you have to cast to the same spot 4-5 times before they bite. This is typical when the water is cold and muddy, you pretty much have to hit them over the head!

    Water Temp: 53

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Very slow. Fished from 1100 - 4:00. Only picked up 4 LM up to 2.5lbs. Tried crank, spinner bait, dart head and drop shot - nothing. All fish were caught on Carolina rig brush hog in 15-20 ft. Talked to another fisherman that picked up seven (2 people) all on drop shot. Water is still pretty cold and muddy.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Recommend waiting a few more weeks before trying this lake. The water needs to warm up and clear up for the bite to improve. Use electronics and try drop shot or soft plastics from shore to 25 ft. and fish slow.

    Water Temp: 47 - 52

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Couldn't figure out the stained water approach that would work! Tried dropshot, crank baits, jerk bait, Jig, spinner bait. No takers. One boat said he cought one fish. The boys and I still had a good time. Tried the south past the bridge there were several dead shad on the surface, not shue what killed them. My buddy and his boys had a great story to take home. A paid of huge Geese are in the area and when they went to the shallows to try and pitch to the tree stumps the two geese didnt like it. One of them actually came up on the back of their boat (tracker) and scared the pants off his two boys. The were puffing their chests and claiming their territory. It was really funny! The kids were very excited.
    City: Pacifica

Tips: Talk to someone who knows how to fish the stained water. Graphed some fish but could find no concentration of bait fish to target.

    Water Temp: 54-55

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Today was a half day guide trip with Nicholaus Gorman of Redwood City and Colin Page of San Mateo. The fishing was fair with 15 fish to the boat, with 2 limits of keepers. The bite has tightened up with the falling water here and its a searching game right now to find decent fish. Both these guys were proficient with pretty good feel for just starting out in the sport. They would manage 2 or 3 fish at each area and we had to move on to stay with bait. A few missed and unbuttoned fish but they did a good job and stuck most of there bites..35-40' on dropshot and one jig fish. we wraped it up at 12:45pm..Some stable water levels and a little cooler water temps will improve fishing.
    City: San Jose

Tips: No bait=no bites..As long as we don't experience real blown out conditions the fishing should be consistant and improve a little as move into the dead of winter.

    Water Temp: 53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I have been catching between 18-25 fish but not this trip. Real cold weather slowed the bite but the quality of fish seemed bigger. Only got 7 fish, however, the largest was over 7lbs. It was my biggest for this lake which more typically produces 1.5lb - 2lb fish. I also caught a 3lb and the rest were 1.5-2lbs. The big fish was caught in 3-4 ft of water on a carolina rig. There other fish were caught on drop shot, one crank bait and grubs in deeper water 25-30 ft.
    City: Foster City

Tips: There are fish in both shallow and deep water. Recommend drop shot and grub in deep water and carolina rig off the drops from shallow to deep.

    Water Temp: 58+-

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished alone from 9:30 to close and found a tougher bite with the cold snap we have right now. lake has dropped a foot recently and that has pulled some fish out of the 15-25 range. I was able to find the same fish in 35-40 and even a few in 45-50'..Catching numbers isn't that tough but better fish were few and far between. My best five keepers only wieghed about 7lbs. Jigs early on rock and went looking for bait and caught drop shot & spoon fish deep right under the bait. Some of the deeper fish I had to fiz so make sure you learn how to do it and have a needle with you if you choose to target those deep fish.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Still some shallow fish around but spread out..Some huge 100x100' schools of bait on main lake in 35-50'.

Report: Got Blown all over the place and drenched to the bone. Still fun though, got 3 in about what turned out to be a little over an hour of fishing. Pretty much tried to avoid getting blown to shore and had an issue with the trolling motor (not good in the wind). Jigs and dropshot.

We fished green pumpkin grubs, brown and purple jigs and dropshotted purple 6" worms to catch all of them.
