    Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Caught and release 26 bass with the largest only 2lbs. Caught them on drop-shot cut-tails and AArons Magic shakey head in 3-15 ft on main lake points and rocky shoreline. Lots of boats but few fishing. Tried crank and C-rig but no joy.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Mud lines, mud lines. Find them and fish them.

Report: Caught 12. All less than 2#, all on Kinami cut tail
worms in smoke/brown on olive shakey head off of main lake rocky banks and points. Very windy, but the fish didn't seem to mind ;)
    City: Monterey

Tips: Had the best luck fishing ledges near deeper water.

    Water Temp: 73+

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started at 8am fished main lake coves South end
with Brush Hogs and shad crankbaits and caught only a couple till 3pm :(
Then Caught 15 off the main lake point off the long narrow cove across from the launch ramp. Wind was strong from the North in the main lake and strong from the East coming out of the cove. Ski boat wake was heavy. Where the winds met, there was a long mud line coming off the rocky point toward the 5 mph bouy. Started casting olive shakey heads with Kinami cut tails in brown/purple and mad melon into the mud-line, up close to the point. Water on the deep side there 30+. Fast and furious for one hour! All small, nothing over 2#
    City: Monterey

Tips: Very subtle bite on the shakey head, made more difficult by the wind and waves. Couldn't detect it on the heavy 1 oz. C-rig. Needed to keep a constant but very light tension on the bait. Boat wakes definitely turned them on. Once the lake calmed down the bite stopped.

    Water Temp: Sorry, didn't c

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went looking for crappie, found none, so began targeting LM around noon. Caught over 50 with dink to keeper ratio 4 to 1. Nothing over 2 lbs. All fish taken while drifting the east and west banks on the north end. White crankbait was red hot. After a couple of hours, I experimented with a crawdad colored crankbait which they hit just as well.
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: Drift with the wind in 15-20 feet of water and cast tight to the shoreline, varying your retrieve with a deep-running crankbait. As others have recommended here, don't hesitate to fish the mud lines. I took that advice and it paid off.

    Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Caught 8. Largest was the first taken at 2# 10oz.
(C-rigged watermelon BBH) Found fish at the back end of mid lake coves all < 15'. Had success with C-rigged Baby Brush Hogs in watermelon, and Wacky Rigged 5" senkos: black and watermelon. (First time trying that method). Picked up two using a half oz. white spinner with twin silver willow blades. No takers on jerk or crank baits.
    City: Monterey

    Tips: Requires a reservation. http://www.gooutsideandplay.org/reservations/text/textreservations.asp?park_id=1
plus and additional $6 res fee beyond the usual $12 for boat and parking.

I had success at the back end of coves with plastics. Tried to follow T2's recommendation but
couldn't get bit off of points or main lake mud lines.

Getting hot out there 90+, be sure to bring lots of water.

    Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started fishing about 8:30 am throwing poppers and crank baits with no takers at the 5 mph markers on the south end, my partner Forrest first cast with the drop shot and fish on! We got a few more there on the right sides just inside the 5 mph markers than went to mide lake on west side and zero fish than to east side with 2 little ones and than up north and got few on cranks and than to the dam and we got about 8 fish in 35 minutes on 4 inch oxblood flat minnow worms but again these were only 1/2 to 3/4 lb fish. We got about 15 to 18 fish but the biggest was only 1.8 lbs, had to leave at 4:00 to pick up the kids at school.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Drop shot with your hook about 2 feet from the weigh,it seems the fish are suspended right now, the worm I was using I won at the Future Pro tournament I fished in March so I don't know where to by them but I will find out, they are 3 1/2 inch to 4 inch and flat and I rigged them side ways. My buddy said they were oxblood but they looked like smoke to me with black flake but I am color blind:)

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Great day on Anderson. Only one other bass boat out but lots of ski boats causing those nice mud lines that turn the fish on. Caught 27 bass up to 2.5lbs - no big fish. Caught them on crankbait, drop shot, and C-rig in 1-20 ft of water on rocky shoreline, points and mud lines. The smaller fish were caught shallow using a horizontal drop shot method with the larger fish caught deeper using crankbait and C-rig plastics.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish points and mud lines shallow to deep.

Report: Caught 23 bass with the largest 2.5lbs. All were caught on main lake mud lines on Carolina rigged plastics and drop-shot cut-tails in 3-10ft.
    City: Foster City

Tips: If there is muddy water - fish it.

    Water Temp: 68-69

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the south end from 8AM - Noon. Started out throwing a shad-colored crankbait just past the no wake buoys and worked my way down towards the bridge. Once the sun hit the water I switched to a 5" worm on a shakey head. Ended up with 4 fish on the crankbait and 3 more on the shakey head. Biggest one was 4-10 on the shakey head. The rest were all 1-3 lbs. Off the water at 12.
    City: San Jose

Tips: There are a lot of fish shallow. Start with reaction baits then switch to plastics once the sun hits the water.

    Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Tough conditions with wind that drove most off the lake early. I hung in long enough to boat 12 bass all under 2.5lbs. Stood on the trolling motor until the batt went then I called it. Boat control confined me to the coves and points. I caught most fish on points in 3-15 ft using C-rig creatures and drop shot cut-tail worms. I threw diamond shads and spinner in the mud lines but no takers.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Heavy wind often turns on the reaction bite but not for me today. If you throw plastics use heavier weights in order to have better line contol and to feel the bite. Fish the points in 3-15 ft using plastics in the presentation you have the most confidence in.

    Water Temp: 59

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: We headed back over to Anderson on Sunday and we had minimal luck. What a difference a storm can make.

The pre-frontal bite on Saturday was awesome while Sunday proved to be a very tough fishing day. We were throwing carolina rigged brush hogs, crank baits, swimbaits, and jigs. We did manage to pull about 6 fish into the boat but they all were very very small. We did mark some fish but couldn't get them to take anything.

I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit to get some bigger action.

    Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Sat started as a tough day. Water temps had dropped 3 deg with the recent rain and that impacted the bite. I went to the usual places in the south end and used the usual baits with little sucess. I met up with Papa John who was working the north end with the same luck. We fished a couple of areas together that produced a couple of fish. When he left at 2:30 I only had 4 fish in the boat. Decided to make a run up north and that is where I found some active fish. Ended up with 13 bass with a couple of nice fish over three lbs. Caught all fish in coves - nothing on the main lake shore line. Caught them on Crig plastics and drop shot rig fished horizontally in very shallow, stained water. I got a few suspended fish that hit when the bait was falling. Tried senko and spinnerbait with no luck.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish the coves where you can find some stained water. Fish from 3-10 feet with whatever plastics you have confidence in. My best luck has been on darker plastics in watermellon with red flake.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Finally - I was able to get on the water this week. Even though it was only for a couple of hours I was loving every minute of it. I had my neice and son with me so I spent more time trying to get them into fish than trying to get myself into fish.

Anyhow, I've always fished the south end of this reservoir but today I decided to go north. We made our way into one of the coves and we were catching fish in minutes. We caught about 8 fish with the biggest being 2#. The kids had a great time and right when the fishing was about to get good the kids wanted to leave. I was torn - leave before the rain or stay on the fish.

I couldn't do it, we headed for home with part of me still wishing I was on the water.

Used: Carolina and Texas rigged baby brush hogs.

    Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Nasty Weather with rain all day. PapaJohn and I had the lake to ourselves with only a couple of other boats out. He went north and I went south. I caught 19 bass with the largest 2lbs. Caught all fish on C-rig plasitcs and 4"robo worm fished using a horizontal drop shot technique in 2-10 ft. Caught them on them main lake mud lines, points and coves - primarily coves due to the calmer winds. Also tried senko with no takers and threw an occasional spinner bait.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish from the bank to 10 ft along mud lines and areas where there is vegetation in the water. Fish flats. Recommend darker colored plastics due to the stained water conditions.

    Water Temp: 61

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Pretty good day Sat. Caught 15 LM. The largest was 4.2lbs (first cast) and 3.1lbs (second cast)Caught them on Senko, drop shot Robo, and C-Rig Brush Hogs. The Senko fish were caught in calm waters in coves. The drop-shot fish were caught on points. The Carolina fish were caught on main lake mud lines. All were caught from 3-13 ft. The bigger fish were taken on Senko, med fish on C-Rig, and smallest on drop-shot. Nothing on jerk, crank or spinner bait.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Work different plastics in places from the shore to 15 ft. Let the conditions and depth dictate which bait to use. If you fish this lake then post your results - good or bad. If you don't, you risk being banished by J.P. (4-2-07 Post)to Parkway purgatory, slinging stink-bait from a leaking rented row boat.
