Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Two days o warm weather, a couple o days beore a ull moon, some ish still spawning, why didn't I get a ish? Was loat tubing in windy weather on Monday, threw senkos, spinnerbaits in various colors, some crankbaits, even jig and pig, but not a bump. Many o the boats I talked to also reported really slow action. Only ished or three hours, 5-8pm, but not a single ish?
City: SJTips: Anyone wanna buy some ishing equipment? Very Frustrated!

Water Temp: 67.2-68.8
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Wow the sight ishing bite has started to turn on. Decided to play hookie rom work or a bit and hit Calero rom 4:30pm-7:30pm. Was supposed to ish with Chad rom Fishermans Warehouse in SJ but he was unable to attend due to an emergency. I decided to start out throwing a 1/2 oz white persuader spinnerbait with white double willow lea blades and a white buzz bait. Nothing on the buzz bait but the spinnerbait helped to locate the bed ish. When a bed ish was ound I would then lip/pitch to the bed ish to determine i the ish would go or not (some are just too spooked during the spawn). Ended up catching 8 ish total-- 2 1.5lb males dropshotting, 4 3-3.5lb males on t-rigged plastics and 2 on a spinnerbait (a 3lber and a 5lber). Best 5 went about 19-20lbs and ended up missing or leaving about 6 bed ish alone. In all it was a good day on the water and a good practice or Clear Lake this weekend. Water temp is way up rom 5/3 as I was reading 67-69 in the coves.
City: Los AltosTips: You can't catch ish rom behind a keyboard and monitor. Get out there anytime you can within the next 2 weeks as the bite is deinately on!!! Fish are shallow in protected areas rom the wind. I you're unamiliar with bed ishing this lake, throw a spinnerbait until you spook the ish and wear polarized sunglasses. Tight lines!

City: San JoseTips: The water is way up, not much o a rip bite, crawling plastics in the lats will get ya some bucks. BEWARE....saw baby rattlers along the shoreline....then let

Report: John Fernandez and mysel went to Calero last Friday rom 11:30am to 2:00pm. The lake is really low right now. We started in the back cove with no luck or the irst hour or so. We then headed to the rock wall opposite the launch ramp ater all the pleasure boats let. We caught 3 ish o the rocks with earthwork 4 1/2" Roboworms an another on a Luck Crat Pointer 78 Rip Bait. We then proceeded to the southeast part o the lake were it is only 1' to 1.5' deep right now and I threw my Pointer 78 in the shallows. Next thing I know it gets killed. I yelled to John (Get the net, it is at least 15lbs. Anyway when I inally got it up it was hooked in the back and it weighed only :)6.25lbs. Sure was a rush though.

I took him to all o my easy spots to try to get him a ish and didn't get a hit. I expected it to be slow, but that slow. It's got to open up soon. Good luck.

Report: Went out to Bailey Cove last night, I threw a Rat-L-Trap and basically cranked it back as ast as possible, 3rd cast on it I caught a nice atty, maybe 5-6lbs. Also saw a LOT o ish hitting topwater all over the lake, it was unusual. I threw spooks to them with no luck, ishing should be picking up soon tho. One nice one was all I could get today.

Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fishing was tough or me with only 2 bites. One was very tight in cover "hooked" on Jig, so tight to cover I didn't get him out (2-3lbs.) Talked to a couple other people and one didn't get anything and the other had one on plastic but lost it also. He also had some jumbo minows with him and I watch him catch 2 in ront o me. OUCH. I was really working on using a jig, but also through the Spinnerbait, Swimbait, and Dropshot as my last resort. This was the irst clear day ater the Rain and that probably had something to do with it. The good news or me is ater have trailer problems in my last tournament where my trailer hit the ground, the boat is ine and Trolling motor that was hit good on Tailgate o truck is still working ine.Hope others better ishing luck than mine.R. Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Thanks Guys or the input on the parking situation. I guess I'm still a bit shocked being that no Rangers have said anything as late as last December. Like I said, Ive even stopped and chatted with Rangers on Bailey and they never seemed to have a problem with cars parking there as long as you didnt park in ront o that gate. Anyway, hit seven ish on the southend o the lake. All were better than 3lbs with the biggest close to 6lbs. Stuck with my jigs and spinnerbaits.
City: San JoseTips: Fish slow. Slow-roll spinnerbaits.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I ish the lake quite oten and have noticed that both the sheri and rangers are patrolling both the roads and parking lot o the lake or parking vilations and look or people who enter the gate without paying. I have also heard that the people who live in the area are complaining that cars parking o-road are a traic hazzard especially during commute hours. I assure you, you will be ticketed i you park in those areas.
Tips: As ars as ishing goes. The ish are scatterered all over the lake and no one has a real pattern going. I have caught ish in 3-5, 8-10 and 20-25 eet o water next to trees, rocks, grass, etc. The only pattern I ound is to ish slow (almost dead-sticking) with jigs and worms on the North side o the lake.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Well got one more on a spinnerbait. Have a question or the regular shore anglers here: Has it always been illegal to park on Bailey Road? I've been ishing Calero or 13 years now and today I was inormed by the Rangers that you can't park on the side o the Bailey Road. Now through the years I have parked here along with a dozen or so anglers and have never had a problem. I've had Rangers come up and chat or drive by and I have never been told that parking is not allowed. Is this something new? This really puts up some limits on the shore anglers. I can understand i it's late at night and they don't want people camping out, but this really surprised me. Anyone have any idea i this rule has just been implemented?

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished last Saturday or the irst time this year. I was expecting it to be wide open. Not to be. I struggled or two small ish. I ished everywhere; shallow, deep, slow, ast, north, south, coves, points. My avorite winter spot was dead. Beautiul day on the water. Not a very good day ishing. It can only get better.
City: San JoseTips: winter at calero usually calls or jigs, spider jigs ished shallow to deep slowly. Didn't work last saturday. I've also caught many winter ish slow rolling a white spinnerbait in shallow water.
