Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: with the cold front moving in rapidly I thought that the fish were going to in lock jaw but that was not the case. Got to the lake at about five and fished with a terminator spinnerbait with the white skirt. landed a small dink in less than a foot of water right by the dam. Tried casting out about 25 to 30 feet out waited till the bait hit the bottom then slow rolled it. Caught 3 fish in the 3 pound range in about ten to fifteen feet of water, all quality fishes. Then decided to work the cove behind the bench, and landed a beautiful 5 pounder in less then 2 feet of water, would've stayed out longer but this bass tore up my spinner, took off the skirt, and the willow leaf blade on the damn thing. All the guys I talked with were fishing plastics to no avail. May be next I'll bring more than one spinner. good luck

Tips: white spinner bait in the 1/2 onz size, and just make a lot of cast every where your bound to get some strikes.

    Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 10:00a to noon. Caught 12, from 1.5 to about 4 lbs. Caught all fish swimming a 4 inch grub on 1/8oz. jig through submerged weeds. Most bites came in less than 4 feet of water adjacent to deeper water. A slow retreive and lure contact with the weeds seemed to trigger most of the strikes.
    City: Livermore

Tips: Shad patterns on the edges of the shallow flats

    Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Still windy, but they are moving back up. This time I had at least thirty bites and way off shore again. Monday only got two bites at the ramp but the very next day over thirty and I never moved an inch from my first spot. What a difference a day can make. Caught many dinks and a few around two pounds. I think bringing the boat out is in order to cover some good deep points and track down some of the big girls. Met a nice guy and showed him what I was doing. He proceded to catch some fish to and was very happy about it, ain't fishin' great.
    City: Mountain View

Tips: Tubes and staight tail worms got my bites. The tubes caught the bigger fish.

Water Temp: ? fished the ba

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Threw Carolina rig straight tail worms and light jigs. Caught 15 fish, 9 from one point and over 100 feet out. Did not catch anything in close to the bank. Fish have definately moved out but were biting once you got it to them. Natural no flake colors were the best. Use sent and fish slow. Couldn't get bit with the normal plastics for this lake (brush-hogs, lizards, etc.), only the 4" worm. Bite should get better this week with the steady temp. forecasts.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: After attending the sale at Coyote bait and tackle, I decided to brave the wind and take my daughter out fishing.I was using sencos, and hooked my daughter up with a 7" pumpkin power worm. After she casted , she laid her pole down to run to the car for another jacket....when she returned, FISH ON !!! Although she did'nt land it, she was excited..We fished for 2 hours and did'nt land any...We missed about 5 hits...( Too hard to fish sencos in the gusting wind )
    City: san jose

Tips: I changed to spinnerbaits..4 hits in the last half hour..

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This is not an April fools report!!!The fishes are biting. Fished in my float tube early, but not as early as the other three guys who had already beaten me there. Talked to them and they were fishing soft plastics. I was throwing a terminator buzzbait, and landed a fat 2 lber around vegetation. Wind started to pick up a little and couldnt buy a bite with the buzzer, so switched over to a Texas rigged baby brush hog, and was slaying them to death. Fished by a couple of guys in a boat who offered me some weed(you know who you are) but I wanted to concentrate on fishing. Well caught 7 fishes, the largest one going a solid and fat 5.5 on my stren digital scale. All fishes were shallow, was observing a dude fly fishing for crappie and he was killing them on every cast. well see ya on the lake, keep the dope at home though.
    City: san jose

Tips: baby brush hog worked from the shore out seemed to do well for me.

Report: Hit Calero from 9-4 today w/ fellow NCBF'er Dave Chaen. It was VERY windy the whole day. We managed to put close to 20 fish in the boat up to 3lbs throwing soft jerkbaits in shallow water. A few of them also came on a worm, shallow crank, and blade. All fish came out of 5' or less today.
    City: San Mateo

Tips: If you want bigger fish, fish deeper!! I didn't because it was too hard w/ the wind.

Report: Arrived at 11AM, only caught 1 fish(2 lbs) I was using a 4" June Bug Power Worm. It was very windy out there, and alot of idiots on Jet Skies...very annoying! I fished off the boat ramp, caught the 1 fish in about 8-10 FT of water. I'll come back soon!

    Water Temp: Lower 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I walked the bank from the north point of Miner's Cove to about a quarter mile into Cherry Cove. I fished from 3:00 PM until sunset and landed five fish (one 12-inch dink, and the rest were in the 2 to 4 pound range). The largest fish was 18 inches, and like the other keepers I caught, she was fat with eggs. All of the fish I caught were on their nests (I think) but hadn't spawned. I used a crawdad-colored shad rap, a 4 1/2 inch black curly-tailed worm, and a shad-patterned spinnerbait to catch my fish. Nice day fishing, but the skiers were a little annoying. Return your fish to their nesting sites.
    City: Campbell

Tips: The fish didn't fight that hard. The water is still a bit cool. I don't have any lure suggestions, but I caught all of my fish while bumping my bait along the bottom with a steady, deliberate, slow to moderate retrieve.
