Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: This is for SidH.
Calero seems to be on the move right now but I would recommend an early morning run since the weather is finally warming up and more boaters will be on the water.
There was a recent trout plant at Campbell Perc Ponds. I caught an eight and ten pounder a couple of weeks ago on a white spinner and trout pattern soft plastic jerk bait. Lot's of pressure at this place. Don't waist too much time in one spot.
I'm from L.A. too. Enjoy it up here. It's nice.
Good Luck,
Creeker

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: well i know this is not a report, This weekend i'm going to the san jose area for my grandmas B-day.I Have mainly been fishing the local lakes in my area, So far my biggest this season was an absolutely beautiful six pounder on a matt lures baby bass. I was wondering how far along in the spawn the fish are up there, considering it came late here i can only imagine sightfishing sucks with the horrible wether you guys been having. As late as it started for us it's pretty much over now. Hows the overall clarity, Last spring i caught tons of dink crappie but no bass. Also does anyone know how the fishing for bass at the campbell perc ponds has been? Are the fish up there staging or gaurding now? i don't have much time to fish this weekend, so i have to choose between anderson, calero, or campbell, what do you guys think? Any info will be greatly appreciated as i only make it up there once a year.
Thanks,
Sid

Water Temp: 57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Everything seems to be working, but I had really good success just walking the bank in the south end throwing brush hogs. A rattletrap also produced lots of smaller fish. Go barbless, the hookset is easier, and a snap releasing the fish without a huge hole in it's mouth. Spawning fish are producing our future catch's! Everyone I saw or talked to were catching fish!
City: San JoseTips: Just get out! Weather is beautiful, no ticks on the shorline yet, but be prepared for mud. Pack out your trash please!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Well, at this lake being shallow for the most part many spawners are there and more than ready to hit. Every presentation seems to be working. Please catch and gently release. Hugs & kisses, James.
City: san joseTips: 15 feet or less, shallow flats, carolina-rigs most consistent for me although reaction baits are producing as well. Please catch & release.

Water Temp: 56-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from a boat from 8:30 - 2:00PM Three of us caught about 20 keepers to two pounds. All were young bucks staged in prespawn mode along the banks going into the creek arms. We did not see any females around yet. Our fish came on slow rolled white spinnerbaits, Pointer rip baits, red crankbaits, and drop-shotting purple worms.
City: BelmontTips: As the water warms a couple more degrees watch for larger fish in spawn areas.

Water Temp: Boat in shop
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 8:30 to 2:00 on Saturday off of the bank fishing everything from points to tulies, I tossed senkos, jigs, brush hogs & worms all in dif colors. I saw a guy in a float tube catch a 1/2 lber, 5 min later I saw a guy in a bass boat catch a 1/2 lber, I started complaining that I could not catch a fish for the life of me, I stated that I fished a month ago in the rain all day and did not get a bump and today 3 hrs and nothing, he said that's just the way it is sometimes and I agreed, just about that time I tossed out a little bit to the right of where most of my casts on that point were and all the sudden I felt some pulling and I set the hook and landed a 4.6lber. I told the guy in the bass boat that the fish is about 4 to 4 1/2 lbs, he said I have a digital scale so I said bring it over and it was 4.6, I am good with weight. I caught her with a 4 in magic worm green weenie on a carolina rig. People caught fish on brush hogs, worms and spinner baits from 1 foot to 10 feet of water, my fish was in 8-10 feet, I talked to a guy that caught a 4.8 on a spinnerbait 2 feet off shore in front of him.
City: San JoseTips: Never give up!! I tried fast, slow, slower, and dead stick, I started casting a counting to 100 before moving, nother worked. The fish I caught hit it when it hit the bottom. I am going back Tuesday, its about to bust open. To the cool guy I spoke to who caught the 4.8 on spinner bait, I will be there 4/11 5 pm, see ya.

Report: Friday fishing trip. Went out from 1:30pm - 5:30pm. Had a good day, 8 total fish with the two biggest just under 5 pounds. Caught 6 of the 8 fish in 5 ft. water in back of cove using rip bait, they couldn't leave it alone!! The two bigger boys were caught using a double tail grub....slooooooooow........
City: FremontTips: Switch up your baits. Went back into a cove where two boats had been fishing for hours with no bites using plastics.......I threw a rip bait and got 6 in an hour (all between 2 and 3.5 pounds)

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Very slow day. Started shallow with rip baits and rattletraps but no takers. Backed out to the creek channels with tubes, still nothing. Moved to main lake points and started hooking up in 10-20 feet with tubes and zipper grubs. Caught 6 total, 2lbs biggest. It was damn cold, it snowed on the mountains and rain off and on all day, but it's always good to go fishing.
