    Water Temp: 51-52

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Cold Day. Pretty windy as well. Our boat caught a total of three fish today for 6 hours of fishing. First fish(3.5lbs) was caught by the spillway on a hoola grub with a football head 3/8 oz. jig in grape brown. It was in about 5 feet of water. Second fish(3.6lbs) was at the end of a cove in about three feet of water with the same lure and the third(2.8lbs) was caught across from the spillway in about 8 feet of water on a brown 3/8oz. jig with a purple trailer and a rattle on it. My buddy missed a nice one on a 8 inch black and blue worm in cherry cove. Couldn't really find a pattern, it was a tough bite and we tried many spots and many presentations. Most action came off of banks with the wind hitting them.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Throw jigs, and hula grubs. Fish slow, although the person who caught the two 3 1/2 pounders got on the boat midday and was moving his hula grubs pretty fast. Darker colors because the water is beginning to get real murky. Bass are suspended in many places, so get the suspended bass with appropriate techniques(drop shot, spooning) I'd say sleep in, and try and get em' later in the day.

Report: To Tom: I agree with you my friend. I also look for credible tips to determine where I will go fishing next. Like yourself, I can only get out about once a month or so. Just ignore these idiots who want to argue on this site.

    Water Temp: 58-59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out for a couple of hours in the morning. Started with my favorite ripbait. Only caught one bass that went just under 2lbs. Also caught a 15lb. carp on the ripbait...go figure. Moved to deeper water with the dropshot and ended up with 2 more bass that were 1.8lbs and 2.2lbs. Off the water at noon.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Water is cooling down. Late afternoon on the sunny days is probably the best bet after the water has warmed up a bit. Deep fish are there. I was marking both bait and bass in 25-30 feet off most of the points.

Report: Check it out pal, I have been bass fishing for a couple of years now and get to the water once a month if i'm lucky! Most times I go to closer water like almaden lake park or guadalupe, for which I have posted some reports! (this past spring if you look) Sometimes I get a tip from someone and learn something new! Most fishermen will tell you what worked for them if you ask them! Since I hadn't been out to calero since this past spring I checked out the latest reports, the ones that reported nothing about fishing! So check it out pal, maybe if you share info you might learn something new!

    Water Temp: na

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I basically got my ass kicked!!! My friends were gettin'em shallow while I worked deep water. I said o.k. let's go shallow and sure enogh they were there...problem was they were so finicky (tap, tap, tap...and nothing).
    City: san jose

Tips: Go shallow, but use finesse baits. Drop-shot, Carolina-rigged straight tail worms, and light-weight jigs.
