Water Temp: 59-63
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I wish I could give you a better report, but we were on the water on the friday of the FLW with the bright idea of fishing piper in from of Russos. The off limits area. Well we picked up a few fish off of the condo complex and got a bite on tysuns point, but for the most part the fishing was slow. Slow meaning that 12-15 fish in the 1-4 lb range. Beavers lead to the most bites. Unfortuantely, most of the spots that we would usually fish, Genos point, phils point, rondos cut... They all had boats on them.
For those of you who don't know these places and you are looking for a great club with good guys to fish with, then go to www.dmbass.com and check out the Devil Mountain Bassmasters or call me at 925-639-7724.

Water Temp: about 65 degree
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: i went out yesterday. It was a slow start. About 6 fish in early morning, all nder 2 pounds. Caught then on a jig. then slowed for about 2 hrs. Then caught 3 more on a rat-L-trap. Then stayed slowed way down until about 2pm. Got near some 5 mile zone and fished near some docks and all hell broke loose. The only way i'd not catch a fish is if i just put my senko down and not put it in the water again. It was on fire!!! 10 pounder, 7 pounder, 9 pounder, 2's, 3's , I even was casting where my buddy finished fishing and i'd still bring em in. Get out there now and go to work. The delta is on fire, or, you could stay home and let me fish like that again next weekend.
City: tracyTips: If fishing senko's, keep it moving with slow twitching and crank 1 revolution then pause. Everything else, let 'er rip!

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished on just inside Horshoe Bend on outside edges of tulies. Worked dropshot on incoming tide for 3 hours. Managed 8 bass from 1.5 to 6 lbs. all in 50 yard stretch. All were males except for largest fish. Had one BIG blow up on a frog but never saw fish again. Picked up my wife at Lauritzen's at 2:oo and headed back to same spot. She managed one fish about 2 lbs. on same dropshot. Fish didn't seem to be as aggressive on out going tide.
City: AntiochTips: Watermelon/black flake colored yamamoto dropshot worms in 6" length. All fish came on outside edge of tulies. Tried senkos inside but no takers.

Water Temp: 58-62
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Well I launched at B&W RESORT around 9.a.m. and saw 2 guys on the dock watching there new Crestliner boat being pulled out the water by a tractor. This was there first trip and they forgot to put the drain plug in!! Ouch! Tons of fun on the water today! The first day of the FLW TOUR EVENT! SAW TONS OF PROS DOING THERE THING! I FISHED till almost dark and ended up with 8 bass and a small striper! limit only 11 lbs, with a 2-11 big fish. Small limit.
City: antelopeTips: Senkos, red and black brush hogs and spinner baits. same old thing....

Water Temp: 60-62
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: another good day...buddy "ITS TOM!" and I managed 15 in about 4 hours or so, biggest around 3 1/2, mostly cookie cutter males, but very agressive on the incoming tide, slowed way down on the outgoing. plastics tight to the bank, got most of my hits as soon as the bait hit the water.
City: TracyTips: wind was a factor for me, I have a small aluminum, so tried to fish out of the wind, still did good. keep yer thumb on that spool, some bites happened before I even cranked the reel in gear.

Sunday, stayed south and fished about 4 hours and got a dozen or so on jigs but nothing to write home about. LOTS and lots of boats on the water and it was getting crazy so I called it an early day.

Water Temp: 60-62
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Had a great day! Got out at around 10am, yeah, nice late start, head up to a favorite spot of mine, and just started catchin em...nothing big, lots of males pushing the bank...fished about a 1/4 mile stretch of old river and got 12 in 3 hours...LOTS of boats out there...bite was odd, some just crushed it, some just sucked it in and the line told ya a fish was there...biggest was around 3#..most in that typical delta 1-1.5# cookie cutter..
City: TracyTips: plastics on the rocks, fished the upswing of the tide, seemed once the tide went out bite got tougher...dark colors worked best, fished slow.

Water Temp: up to 60*
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: First time on the water in about 6 months. Geez I am totally clueless!!! Found surface water temps (well, OK as deep as my trolling motor anyway) up to 60 degrees in shallow areas (3-6 ft) up around Venice/Middle River/Mildred. I tried jigs (brown/purple), beavers (brown/orange) and blades (white/silver). Nada. Even tried dropshotting and got zilch. I 'may' have gotten bit once on the jig but if I did I missed completely. I tried fishing ledges with weeds next to the flats and points, tried the first tule clumps next to deeper water, shallow tules around flats, rock walls, docks and wood, in current, out of current... All in all I was only out for about 3 or 4 hours but still, the fish gods could have smiled on me a little bit!
Tips: I could sure use some right now! (I know it's FLW week out there but I can still ask, eh?)
The cruisers were out in force - courteous boaters that they are... Be careful! -
Water Temp: 57
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished fri/sat/sun and I have to say it was a bit tougher than it has been. Talked to a lot of guys sayin the same. Got like 1.3 fish per hour. That's TF(total fish)/THF(total hours fished)= FPH(fish per hour). There's also pounds of fish per hour but that's another formula! Fishin was better than not fishin.
Tips: Anticipate rookie boat drivers flyin around blind corners!

Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Middle River from 8:00am to 2:30pm caught 21 fish between my partner, ranging from 1lbs to almost 4lbs. Best 5 would be about 16lbs. All fish were caught on Texas rig and Dropshot.
City: Mtn. ViewTips: Fish texas rig and Dropshot really slow and pay attention to your line. Most bite are subtle but some are vicious.

Water Temp: 57-60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I am passing on a report from one of our Devil Mountain club members and based on his report and my conclusion, the spawn is beginning. They caught 25+ fish up to 5 lbs. The jig and beaver continue to be productive for numbers. The spinnerbait bite is continues to be on and off, but producing the occasional fish.
It looks to me like the males are coming shallow to begin building beds and if the weather continues to stay warm we are days away from the big girls.
The devil mountain bassmasters will be up at Clear lake this weekend, then back to our home water of the Delta in April. If you would like to join us feel free to give me a call 925-639-7724.
City: Walnut CreekTips: Find time to fish mid week.

Water Temp: 57-59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of paradice and stayed nearby trying to focus on certain areas. Started out with a couple in the 2.5# range right away on voo-doo baits. Missed a decent one on a senko that probably would have been our big fish in white's. We hit fish on rips cranks and drop-shot for a total of 17 fish at about 14.5#. According to other boats, it seems the action wasn't that hot.
City: placervilleTips: Nobody likes high pressure days with not even a ripple on the surface, you have to take full advantage of a good tide when you have one. Time it well and you'll benefit. Our best bite after the tide rolled out was with voo-doos and speed traps in sparse weed patches, make sure you have deep water nearby during low tide.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
