Report: Just wanted to share how our club weighs fish in a club tourney. We have a set of scales given out to each team at checkin. As fish are caught they are verified and recorded on a form by a partner. The fish are then released right where they were caught.

Report: Fished white slough on monday and tuesday.monday was a better day. Caught almost 30 fish from little dinks to the largest at 4lbs. Had a good topwater bite before the sun rose on a double prop bait. Then used senkos and crank the rest of the day. Tuesday was slow but picked up as the tide changed, also there was a steady breeze the whole day. Caught only 17 fish but caught a few just over 3.5lbs on spinnerbait. Stripers are active and boiling at anytime in the day. Not many keepers are around yet but did have some fun catching the smaller 2lb stripers on spinners and missed a couple of the larger fish because they did not hit until they were 5 feet from the boat.
    City: stockton

Tips: Used mainly crank and spinner for most of the day. Red craw or a shad color crank, chrt/wht spinner. Senko produced some fish but most fish were a little out from tules in the weedflats but still near tules. Also caught some along levee but were usually smaller fish.

Report: Devil Mountain Bassmasters held our monthly club tournament at the Delta this Saturday. This happened to be the last team tournament this year. Each team limited, although the bite was on the tough side. Winning weight was 14+ with a 4.14 lb big fish. All fish released alive an kickin'. Weights were within 4 lbs from first to last place. Most guys found a limited top water bite in the early morning and plastics for the remainder of the day. Several teams culled fish trough the day but only managed to upgrade a few lbs. No frog fish were found. The bigger fish are still elusive. The wind kept temps bearable as the temps went over 100 degrees in Brentwood. Post tournament weight-in was highlited by fresh smoked tuna and sashimi from Cabo courtesy of Mr. Riggs from his recent trip to Mexico and a grab bag of tackle for the winners including a custom softsided Ranger tackle bag and matching towel donated by Big Joe and assorted tackle from other club members. If you are looking for a good time bass fishing, we are a small club of good friends. Our club meets monthly in Dublin and our objective is to enjoy bass fishing at the various lakes/delta in Northern Californa and to learn a thing or two to improve our skills. The club tournaments are intended to be FUN above all else with an element of competition. Come join us if you are interested in bass fishing in a fun a laid back environment.
    City: Dublin

Tips: Top water in the early morning then look for shaded pockets in the weeds near deep water and current. Most of our fish came on sweet beavers, senkos and brush hogs. Bite seemed better in areas with clearer water.

Report: Went out a B&W at 6am with Dennie Howard. Buzz bait first thing just below the Marina, two blow ups one 2 lb largie. Fished all over using senkos, spinners and even split shot with lizards and worms. Most of the time we were looking for moving water going in or out of a levee. Look for deep pockets with moving water around rocks and or stumps. Black/purple is still the best colors in Senkos and Jigs. White spinners and buzzbaits.

Report: Fished evening starting at 2 pm. Tide was out and northern sloughs were shallow. Caught 4 bass on outer openings to sloughs. End outgoing good for about 30 minutes and then dead. Headed down to meet incoming water.. As evening progressed bite improved. Around 7pm buzz bait kicked butt. Lots of action.Mike and I caught 20 bass. All small.
    City: orangevale

Tips: Check out tide. Hit it early or late. Middle of day temp was 104. No fun. Bring lots of water.Seinkos and worms best.Crank if no slime around. Buzz early and late. No spinnerbait fish but there wasn't any breeze.Fish current anywhere you find it.

Report: Fished at Beaver Slough from 6am to 11am with a low tide going out. Found some nice bass on rocky points with Senkos and JK jigs in purple/black. With the tide moving 4 + ft we had good cerents all the time and found 20 + bass. Most were some but fun. Some on crank baits, Lizards and large worms. Once the tides stop it was time to head for home. good luck and have fun.

    Water Temp: 74-76

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished between 14 mile and Honker Cut. Great topwater bite for the 1st 1/2 hour. big fish was 2 1/2 pounds. Got a 4 1/2 around 9:30 am on a Beaver and then it was very slow for the next 4 hours with a fish here and there. Then at 1:30 the plastic bite turned on. In the next 2 1/2 hours we upgraded 20 pounds. I personally had my best day ever with an 8'12, 6'2 and the 4 1/2. Also had a few others around 3 to push the five fish limit over 25 pounds. My partner kicked in a few nice 3 pounders as well. Just one of those days I was so happy we decided to brave the heat. I can't go into too much detail on the exact area or method due to upcoming tourneys but I will tell you that the fish were not picky once you found them. They hit every plastic and color we threw at them.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Stay patient. There is a lot of pressure out there right now, but they will turn on at some point during the day. 5-7 feet was the most consistent depth. Sure wish I was on a house boat out there for a week or so. Can't focus on work. Got the fever bad.

Report: My friend and I took a guide trip with Randy Pringle and had a great day. We caught between 60 and 70 fish for the day. All fish caught were on reaction baits. We even tried a new bait coming out on the market that really drove the fish wild. Even when they missed it or dropped it, they would hit it again. Randy really understands the delta and the tides. He put us on fish all day, while constantly providing knowledge on how to do it ourselves. To check out this new bait or to have a great day on the water and gain some knowledge of the delta, give Randy a call. We have already booked a couple of more trips with him.
    City: Suisun

Tips: To gain better knowledge of the delta waterways and the tidal system, book a guide trip. I would highly recommend Randy Pringle.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the past 4 days on Disappointment and White slough. Caught three over 7lbs, two 6lb, and too many to count in the 3lb to 5lb range(over 30 fish in this range), some smaller fish but a lot more decent fish than little fish caught. Lost one fish that was easily over 12lbs but it broke the line when it ran out into the open water. Also caught some stripers that were chasing the little fish in the tule pockets which was a surprise to me seeing the stripers in the tules. Fish seemed to have schooled up in some places and appear to be everywhere. Thousands of little fish were everywhere in large schools.Used senko and spinnerbait. Best 5total for the whole week was over 30lbs. Best 5total in one day was on Tuesday with 24lbs
    City: stockton

Tips: Fish located in tules, along weeds, rocks, and everywhere. Strangely the time of day or tide did not matter. Used senkos and spinnerbait. Senko produced a much larger quantity of fish than the spinnerbait. Tried buzz and frog with little success.Senko, senko, senko, then maybe spinnerbait.

All fish in the 1.5 to 3 lb range, very few dinks, holding teight to weeds and tule clumps.
    City: Fremont

Tips: White Barrack frog worked well. Silver/black rattle trap (1/2 once) and green white 5" senko. Were finding this fish in not alot of current.

Report: Delta Tule-Busters Club tourney out of Ladd's on Saturday morning. 11 teams showed up and weigh in was at noon. ( we are still accepting NEW members...beginner to intermediate FUN club...email me for info) First place was 16+ with a beautiful 9+ pounder on a crankbait. Second was 11.6 on senkos weightless and flippin' tubes. Most fish caught on cranks and senkos. Tough bite over all after that crazy Thursday weather that came through. Fish were pretty tight to cover...caught my fish on points w/ current and flippin' old docks near current.
    City: Stockton

Tips: Fish were tight to cover in Dissapointment and barely picked up offerings. NO topwater to speak of...threw everything but the kitchen sink!!!

    Water Temp: mid 70's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Another great day on the water. Fished Hog and Sycamore sloughs. The first cast of the morning by my cousin Gene resulted in a 33 lb striper that was caught on a spinnerbait. We weren't prepared for catching such a large fish so it took several minutes for us to figure out to bring it on-board (the net was definitely too small).

For the day, we caught another striper (6 lbs) and over 20 keeper size bass. Largest 5 was only around 12 lbs. Off the water by 12:00P.
    City: Dixon

Tips: Over the weeds and next to weedlines were the best for us today.

Report: Fished Disappointment and Columbia Cut area. Strange weather this morning. Our first fish in the boat was a 19" striper caught on a spinnerbait. Rat L Trap was working today -- worked one point and caught 4 keeper size bass in 15 minutes. Went to a second point and caught 2 more in 5 minutes. For the day, we caught 12 keeper size bass (most of them in the 1 1/2 lb to 2 1/2 range) and off the water by 12:00P.
    City: Dixon

Tips: Fish close to the tules or weedline. Find the current and you'll find fish. Spent a lot of time throwing a Sizmic Toad, caught a couple of fish on it -- a lot of fun.
