Water Temp: not as cold as
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: here's what i meant to say from the start:
me and my 'wanna' buddy went out and fished beaver, hog, and sycamore...picked up 1ea in each slough...slow going but did pick a couple up on a speed trap worked like a rip bait, long pauses between the rippin. rest were picked up on junebug senkos.
City: sacTips: worked outside weedlines to deeper water and even though we hate it, forced ourselves to fish slow, even anchored and that produced 2. don't discount an occasional reaction but work that slow too...pausing triggers the strike.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Out of Lazy M around 9 AM. LOW tide. Weather reports said there was going to be an 8 MPH wind. They get it wrong again. More like 18 MPH wind going south. Not much luck with worms, (Shad) crank or char. spinners from Italian slough at Old River to Widdow Is. (only one dink) Headed for deeper water at Mildred. 2 dinks here plus one small keeper. Tried spinnerbait on the rip rap windside with no takers. Very fast fishing in that wind. One more dink at the point at Cruiser Haven. Back to Old River at Italian slough where high tide and green weenies got me 3 keepers on 3 casts.
Tips: South Delta water is not as clear as it is near Mildred.

Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started out in the turning basin and cranked a couple of small ones while watching a sea lion eat about a 15lb salmon. Moved into Turner Cut and onto Mildred. Caught a few more on a drop shot senko GrnPkn/Blk but no size.
Total of about 15 fish with nothing to brag about, biggest about two pounds.
Punched mats here and there with not bites! Tough
City: HilmarTips: We threw buzz baits, crank baits; craw and blue gil colors, drop shot, Senko's wacky and punched.
Most of our bites were on or near the main channel. I think you need to stay near the main channel and be looking for cuts with current right now.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out bait fishing today around franks track. Caught a crap load of small ones (12"-16") Landed one keeper (24"). Frozen shad worked alot better then the frozen anchovies. On the way in tried some rattle traps in franks got nothing but did have a few decent followers, didnt spend much time on em though as it was getting dark.
As for the sherrif situation, we were out about a month ago and the sheriff came over to check our licenses, fire extiguisher, life vests and throwable floatation device. Unfortuantly we didnt have our throwable floataion device in the boat and we got a fixit ticket. Sure he maybe should have gave us a warning but we got the ticket, got it signed off yada yada yada. The point is we didnt have it so we had no reason to argue with them, they are just doing there job and that is what are taxes pay them for, to do their job. But whatever it will always be on the boat now. (I also made sure our lights worked today)
City: OakleyTips: None but ill take some if you got any...

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Sorry about the bitching guys. Its just that I was so close to the marina, and I know I should of hooked up the running lights. I must have lauched 100 times from that marina. I was fishing that tully Island just in front of big break. Its not like I ran a long way in the dark. It was so close! Not even a quater mile from lauch ramp. I know I broke the law and I should of hooked up the lights. Its a little too hard to swallow to have pay a big fine for that mistake. It was just starting to get dark too. I will only report fishing report from now on. If anyone is interested, me and my partner was fishing for stripers that day and we did fairly. Try spooning in the channel near flats. Swim baits worked well too. Fish were anywhere from 5'-25'ft. Any shad pattern spoon worked. Our other friends got in to some good size stripers jigging spoons. They got buch of fish over 8 lbs. Good luck to all the fisherman! Don't be lazy like me, its not worth getting a ticket. Use your lights. I'm a example what not to do or say. Be safe out there!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went with grouchy and launched out of Laurentz. Fished around Big Break and Little Break with a keeper bass and a couple of dink stripes. Worked our way up towards Franks and caught a couple of 20" stripes along the rock wall by the Barges. Got to Franks and saw more duck blinds than fisherman. Once again caught a few blacks and a few small stripes. Worked our way back towards Dutch Slough and worked up the river and started to catch some stripers off the weed edge. Ended up with about 6-8 small keeps, when grOuchy nails this beautiful 15lber that devoured his large topwater offering. Turned out to be a great day as got home in time to watch the Giantes take the 1st game.
City: orindaTips: Our only pattern is today the stripes were relating to weed edges, as we junked fish. Caught fish on blades, traps, 1 topwater and fish traps. Plastics didn't work, but didn't throw them that much. Stripers are around if you make enough casts.

Water Temp: 60's
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Hook, Line & Sinker out of Russo's Marina, My Partner had to work so I fished alone. First thing in the morning I ran to Disco Bay, threw a speed trap at the bank and immediately caught my first keeper, worked my way throwing the trap between boat docks, and boated two more keepers,
Fish seem to be reacting to this very violently , upon the first wiggle of the bait the fish hammered this lure, I saw another fish, threw the speed trap and watched the fish hammer it again, I decided to run north to another Marina and throw the same speed trap, the first couple of wiggles and BANG this time allot of weight and pulling drag, my first thought was it's a line side, nope it was green and was 8.99 pounds, finished fifth and had big fish. Speed trap was the larger size dark brown with a orange belly, using power pro braided line.

City: MartinezTips: CONFIDENCE- I listened to what the fish were telling me and worked out a pattern.
Gene at the Hook and Russo's Marina run a great tournament, Lots of fun, I high recommend fishing them.

Report: Fished the east Delta and caught several small LM Bass (all under 1.5 pounds) on senkos (green with black flake) and a small rip bait.
Tips: Deadstick both baits for at least ten seconds, then give it a little twitch. They hit the rip bait when it is still.

Water Temp: 63-66
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I just finished fishing the calm before the storm at the Delta's Won bass pro/am. The first day I had the luxury of fishing with big bass expert Matt Allen. This guys the real deal, and he proved it as he yelled for the net, so I look over and see a 6 lber shaking its head above the surface. Matt also caught about a ten pound striper on some flashy jig, I forget the name, but you can probably find it on his website. The big striper came out of potato slough, fishing the long sloping points. Watch out for the drill rig on the south side canal. We also caught stripers at the mouth of disapointment slough, again fishing points with a little current. The largemouth right now don't seem to be relating to thick cover, they seem to be roaming flats next to deep water, so don't be afraid to throw a rip bait or top water. I did catch fish with a flick shake as deep as 18', so they fish are starting to drop down into there winter locations, but there are still plenty up shallow as well, and there willing to come up and eat a big bait.
City: SactoTips: If its cloudy and or raining, largemouth will be scattered and feeding, so stick to reaction baits all day, if the suns out, fish deep tullie ledges with current moving no faster then 1 foot a second. For stripers, fish points with faster moving current, using anything that looks like a bait fish.

Water Temp: 68.4 - 66.3
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Restore The Delta meet. Cold, Wet, Cold, Wet.. What can I say. Fishing was really off. 28-30 boats on hand for the charity meet. Launched at 7:10 and headed to Mokelumne River with little to nothing. Over to Bradford area and picked off a few dings with a punch bait and a jig, worked the boat docks with nothing, headed towards False River and hit a pocket of small fish but no keepers. Windy wet and called it a loss. Headed in, loaded up at 10:30 along with several others on the way out and home. Hit the 580 and headed to Bakersfield. Expensive day of nothing. Hey! Whats with the $10 buck launch fees?? For that kind of fee, they need to improve the launch and parking areas!

Water Temp: 69
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fishing Black bass. Launched out of Tracy Oasis Marina for the first time. Very nice. Nice folks. Got to Old river by first light and fished the point at Old river and Grant Line canal. NOTHING. Went to Old River at Italian Slough and picked up the normal dinks. Left for The point at Cruiser Haven and picked up some "better"fish. Then south points at Mildred Island. The catching was scattered but we had a good stringer. Big fish was not that big. Didn't weigh him but maybe 3#'s. Carolina rig with plastics worms most of the day. Had a hot streak with a Shad Rap.
Tips: I hope Most of the launch ramps can keep their launch fees DOWN in the $10 range. It's the cheapest part of what I spend for a day fishing.

Water Temp: 65-66
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Mossdale and went way south, to my favorite spot. On the way to my spot I passed the beaver dam's, for those who know where that is I wish everyday that I'll be able to experience fishing in there all I hear are great stories the beaver dam needs like 4 more feet of water to be accessible , once at my spot had some luck on Ocho's and Frogs nothing to brag about but spending time away from school to fish was self-rewarding in itself. Water is muddy in the south end of the delta. I will be back there tomorrow.
Tips: Quit school, work and fish more often.

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: We were just looking for a good evening top water bite. We launched out of Disco Bay around 2pm. Hit up a few sloughs we been on for a minute now. Got a blo up right off top throwin Kermys so I thought for sure its on tonight. But after that hit we were all skunked for the next hour in half. Ended up throwin Senkos and snatchin a 2 pounder up. Then right at sun fall I got a 2 pounder to blo up on my GunFish set the hook and swung him in the boat and called it a night. All togther it was not the greatest bite but a great time out!
City: Disco BayTips: BassAddixx- If you wanna fish the south end of the Delta we all use braid with flouro or mono leaders. 3-4ft leaders to be a lil stealthier. The braid is to visible.
