Water Temp: 65 - 70 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I luanched my custom Valco "BASSBUSTER!" from Ladd's and noticed many boaters getting oof the water with the approaching storm. I made my run to a protected area at the back of 14 Mile Slough and was nailing bass with white spinnerbaits and 7" power worms. I was catching guarding males up to 3 pounds each. With the wind blowing it was hard to working plastics and jigs slowly. I relied on reactions bites and pitched my worm to protected pockets. I wish I was able to get out earlier in the day.
City: StocktonTips: Approaching storm fronts means the BITE is ON!!!! Stick it out and plan your spots according to wind direction. Also venture out into the windward side that is where I got most of my spinnerbait bites.

Water Temp: 64-68
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Found water up to 68 degrees. Wow. For the most part water was 65. I was hoping to find some pre-spawn bass. I fished reaction baits mostly in pre-spawn areas. Wind was blowing pretty good so was just about forced to fish reaction baits. I was not able to get a limit. I caught a few decent ones with rest being small. I guess most of the fish jumped up on beds overnight?
City: Elk GroveTips: I'm sure with full moon coming and temps where they are, it is all going to be about bedding fish now. Third year in a row, I had lousy pre-spawn fishing. I don't even remember what normal March/April weather is. And of course, another big storm in the forecast.

Water Temp: 62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of LazyM 8am and had 16lbs of frog fish by 9. Frog bite died after that. Don't know if it was the wind that picked up, or the morning topwater bite was finished. Either way it was good to see them aggressively eating the white phat frog. The rest of the day was ho-hum.
City: BrentwoodTips: Bring your grass frog rod. They were 30-40ft back in the thick grass and a chore to get out. Only lost one (the first one) coming off halfway to the boat.

Water Temp: Cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well I just finished the CBC on the delta, placing third. I started the day just outside of frank's on a rock wall with tullies throwing a koppers craw, but only caught one about twelve inches. I then moved south and started hopping points all the way down to the east end of victoria slough, long pitching a zoom super hog with a pegged 1/16 bullet weight, trokar hook on 12lb. flourocarbon line soaked with pro-cure. this is what I caught all my keepers on. The key right now, I believe, is to make long pitch casts, so the splash and the boat don't spook the fish. I leave all electronics off as well, and let the lure sit, peel off line like you have a backlash, so the lure falls straight down and let it sit, the waves, wind and current will give it enough action and repeat on the next point. All my bigger fish came in water about twelve feet deep. I did not have a limit until 1 oclock and knew I needed another big fish to make the top ten, so I moved up near the west end of disappointment slough and started fishing boat docks. With the high sun and high tide, I figured they would be there, and they were loaded. I stuck about a seven and culled a couple more. The delta has been tough right now, with the competition from the sea lions and all, but hopefully this helps some of you getting ready for the WRL delta on the 18th. It's off to shasta for me and having only fished it one other time,so I'm up for a challenge.
City: SacramentoTips: Fish the lure slow and position the boat as far off the bank as you can.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: U go tell them Deltaking. Can't believe vinny(ignorance fool) label every fisherman with bobber are proacher or every bank fisherman in this case. They have the right to fish how ever they like, as long as it's in the legal guidelines. Does vinny actually sit there n watch them catch over limits? Just because he can't catch fish, now he gotta blame it on the bank fisherman. Get a life man or go frog hunting..there's plenty of those around, maybe that hobby u can alwyz catch something. I wish this vinny guy stunk every time he goes out fishing
City: elk groveTips: vinny <<---prejudice
