Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished five days, 20th to 24th. Franks did OK most of the time, with a limit to 15 lbs. Disapointment was slow, 2 to 3 fish a day, up to 3 lbs. Potato only produced one fish. The best fish came from the main channel, cranks and senkos, w/ a few fish on 7" worms. Generally the fishing is slow, w/ no large fish up yet. The seals look like they are eating well this trip!
City: ValenciaTips: Wait for two weeks and the larger fish should be up by then.

Water Temp: 59-63
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished in the middle of the day so I could fish high tide. Had to work for my fish. Only able to scratch up a limit. 2 caught on spinnerbait, two caught on crank, 1 caught on senko.
City: Elk GroveTips: As the sun was up high and not much wind, I probably should have focused more on plastics.

Water Temp: cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Just wanted to start off by saying that this report page is turing into MYSPACE with all the trash talkin' COME ON GUYS!!! Anyways, fished the north delta where the water was clearer, threw white blades up into the tree's for largies, caught a few small fish up to three pounds. Switched to fishing for linesides when the tide was pushin' caught two fish around 6lbs. on swimbaits around rip-rap.
City: Elk GroveTips: Try your old faithful delta lures, white blades/w gold colorado, speed traps on rip-rap and flip some beavers if your feelin' frisky!!! Just look at what the elite series was catchin' fish on!!! Fishin' is tough but if your persistent with those baits, you'll boat a few!!!

Water Temp: 58-61
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished hard all day in Dissapointment. Had few bites ended up with only two a 3 and a 4 pounder on a brown chatterbait. Got them on the back of wind blown points off the edge of tule's. I flipped most of the day tubes and sweet beavers but not a single bite. I tried black and blue brn/blk..NOTHING. I did see a couple males setting up on beds.

City: StocktonTips: I would like to think my best tip was to use the heavy wind to your advantage and fish wind blown points but, this did not seem to work yesterday.

Water Temp: 57 deg
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well had a good day today haven't been out in a while waiting for weather to warm.Fishing was tough, but was still able to pull out some nice fish 6.3 lber , 5.8 lber , 4.3 lber and a couple 2 plus lbers. Went out of B&W resort did not have to go farto pick these fish up the bigger of the fish were full of eggs they had some fat bellys getting ready to spawn they are staging right now and are moving up found most of these fish close to the bank around 9 ft of water was fishing around broken pile making really long cast try not to spook them. tried punching mats , no luck threw cranks no luck , finally got on a pattern with blades chartreuse with bleeding red terminator with willow blades gold .they were smashing it.I covered alot of water throwing non stop till I got off the water. I had to work for theses fish, so they just didn't jump in my boat. Saw the bass tourney going on at B&W did not see very many limits so fishing is tough need to wait for warmer water.Went down to herman and helens marina and water was really dark brown, where mokolume river was alot more clearer. not much difference in water temp. went and did lunch at TOWER PARK marina. Rosas restaurant had a mini pizza wife had the burger kid had the fish and chips. was really good and prices were cheap.took off and fished the bridge with no takers lots of boats fishing. going to try to post up some pics.Remember catch and release, let them mamas do their thing, so our future fisherman and their children can catch fish on one the this countries best fisherie the Delta . I did throw some large swim baits today with no takers.
City: ElmiraTips: Get out and keep fishing it is going to bust loose soon ,after the spawn they are going to be hungry and gorge themselfs .try differant patterns till you hook up don't get stuck on something your used to using, today for me it was blades next weekend it might change or maybe it wont so dont be afraid to mix it up

Water Temp: 56-62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out to east delta area. Weather was great and the water warmed up from 56 to 62 in some areas over the course of the day. But only managed 2 fish. Caught the smallest and biggest fish of the year. A 5 inch bass off a 1/2 ounce white spinner bait, wow! And stuck a 7 lb off crank. Was slow day but that 7 lber made up for it.
City: StocktonTips: Use bright colored cranks and spinners in stained water. Find new green grass and tules.

Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished this past sunday evening near mildred. fishing was pretty tough durring most the day. had a couple two pounders on a white and blue spinner bait. right as the sun went down the wind died the fish began busting all around me. i started working a white spook with very long pauses, up to a minute with slight twitches. got seven fish within the next hour, with a five pounder kicker. thought they were stripers when i first saw them pushing bait and was happily surprised to see they were blacks. what started out to be a pretty tough day, turned into one of my best so far this year. fifty four degress... hitting on top.. lots of fun.
fished in and around big break yesterday. pretty tough bite. had only three fish all around two pounds. wasn't much wind... could only get bit on a six inch worm. think i'm heading back to mildred..

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out today battled some wind and light rain in south delta. Stuck a five pounder on rip rap where wind was blowing on red craw lipless crank. Threw swimbaits missed 2 good bites came unbuttoned. One follwer bit right before I pulled the bait out of water. Didn't see him follwing as wind was rippling the water. Tried jigs, worms, spinners with no takers. Several boats pre-fishing tourney I assume. The bite should get better as the weeks progress. Looks like Spring is finally here. Warmer weather next week! I can't wait!
City: StocktonTips: Find wind blown points and banks next to deeper water and throw lipless cranks and swimbaits! Don't pass up banks where ducks/birds are feeding. If no bites move on to the next one.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: After fishin multiple known spawning areas with no results(2hrs) I went to old river and deep water where in 7 feet near the drop to 18 the 5.8 lbs bass ate my Seinko and ended up in my boat. He was a bit tore up and I think he had recently completed the nest somewhere. City: San LeandroTips: I found my fish in 7 feet near the drop in the big river. Big fat weightless Seinko-297 8"

Water Temp: 74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Late report
Fished the Pro/Teen tournament at Russo's on Sunday. It was my first event of this kind and I had a blast fishing with 17 yr old Justin. Was his 3rd year here. Guess he's the vet & I'm the rookie. Anyway, launched out at 6 & hit the tulles at north end of Franks with topwater, buzzbait & poppers for an hr. without hits. Moving to the tulles going towards SJ channel .... still nothin. Then to Venice for some froggin. Did well there b4, but this time only 3 blowups but no hookups. Finally to some rip raps nearby and got several small LMB with senkos inside the weeds with a little current. Unfortunately not big enough to weigh-in. Motored down to Ward Island for more froggin, but again 3 or 4 blowups and couple of missed hooks. Down to the last couple of hours and had to change up. Put all our rods down and switched over to punching the mats. Knew a spot that always produced for me and showed Justin how to punch. He's a fast learner, within minutes he hooks up his first fish about a 2 lber. Unfortunately, he jerked it so hard outta the mat, that it flew over the boat and off the hook. Justin is a big kid (lineman for his high school football team) and took my instructions too literally. For the next hour, we caught maybe 5 or 6 more, mostly small guys again. But finally the last fish was a 3 lber. We didn't do well in the standings but he learned something new and was thrilled and that is all that matters!
City: San JoseTips: Punch. Punch. Punch......especially after the sun hits the water.

Water Temp: 56-57
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out on SJ main channel in east delta. Water was stained to muddy. Threw jigs, spinnerbaits, cranks, lipless cranks, and even senko's. Fished 3-10 ft of water. No takers, only a small nibble off my craw pattern lipless crank. Should be getting better with this weather warming.
Tips: Find the fish!
