WE FISHED IN THE TOP 20 FOOT RANGE ALL MORNING AND ONLY PICKED UP ONE LITTLE FISH BEFORE NOON. WE DECIDED TO FISH DEEPER BEFORE GOING HOME AND I PICKED UP A VERY NICE LARGEMOUTH AT 50 FEET ON A LIZZARD. NOT A VERY GOOD DAY, BUT THAT ONE FISH WAS WORTH THE TRIP.

Report: Fished Saturday and part o Sunday. Caught a lot o small spots on top water early and late in the river arm. My only real excitement was catching an 8.5lb cat ish on a silver zara spook ished top water up against a blu. First time I ever caught a cat on top water. As soon as the spook hit the water, it was like an explosion. Great ight. Weather was great.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Saw a lot o small schooling spots thrashing bait ish in the mouths o coves and creeks. They have not move into the back o the creeks yet. Water is still too warm. Get out early and late. Tried several top water lures but the one that worked best was a silver chug bug.

    Water Temp: 60s

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Extremely slow day. The only activity came rom hundreds o carp rollicking in the bays--the lake is FULL o them... I wonder where the 7,000 lbs. o Florida strain bass went that were supposedly stocked last October! Did't see anyone catch anything during 9 hours on the lake... covered it rom end-to-end... My son Nate managed to ind and land a single 10" bass that was swimming in a herd o 5+ pound bottom-eeders... Never even saw any baitish... bad sign... weather was great, though...
    City: Wallace, CA

Tips: Don't know i the bass are on the beds or what... nothing worked... slow, ast, bright, dark, shallow, deep, brush, rocks, lats, drop-os ... nothing even produced a ollow... Clueless as to what to try...

Report: This is not really a ishing report, more a wake up call. Saturday my partner and I were ishing Dike 2 when we saw a boat do something that did not look quite right. When we sped out to see what had happened. A lady was loating in the water and the other isherman had disappeared. The lady was ine with what appeared to be a broken arm. Unortunatly the man did not recover rom the accident. I will never be on the big motor again without a lie jacket. Accidents happen and always when you do not think they will. I am sorry to report this on this page but I elt that this is an important saty percaution that we all need to remember. Please wear your lie jackets!!!

Report: My riend and I went up Sat. With water temp. up rom the last time I went, we thought the ish should be very active. That was not the case or us. We elt it was pretty slow in the morning. At about 11:00 we had about 10 ish, but everything was on worms and nothing on cranks or spinnerbaits. Continued to take a ew ish until about 2:00 when the ish seemed to go on a bite. We took about 15-20 ish in the next 2 hrs. All in all it wasn't a bad day, but the ish seemed to want the bait slow. All came on worms except or three jig ish. Nothing over 2 lbs. and they were in 10-25 eet o water.Good Luck
