Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: El Dorado bass club fished camanche in feb n 1st place came in with 12.5 lbs. Only 2 boats with limits it was a tough bite. Most fish were caught on jigs in about 30 to 40 feet. Winnig boat also caught 2 big fish(5# lm and a almost 4# spot) on a deep diver crankbait early in the morning.

Tips: go slow this time of the year and look for that big bite in the early morning

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: As far as Camanche goes, you should squeez a limit fairly easy, if the spawn is still hot drag grubs, work tubes slow, drop shot, shakey head etc. All finesse will produce, the largemouth will be a little deeper, but you can still get into some good spotties with reaction baits. The narrows and china's will hold alot of spots, you will get your occasional largie in there, but your best bet is to head to the main lake and work rockpiles, secondary points, and submerged island tops.

Report: This is for the moron who thinks I read his report and made my comment. Hey stud I was referring to all the reports from this lake. I read em all and see what I get out of them. But since you brought it up ill be honest with you. Anyone who says he was fishing one tons and I was fishing jigs I just can't believe that. Seeing as one tons r jigs. You read all the recent reports and made up your own. Its ok I understand. I just think you've been watching to much bill dance.

Tips: I'm fishing it this saturday with roland martin. Why don't u grab dance and get ur ass kicked at camanchee by me and skeete. Oh I mean roland. Lol

    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished 2 days and caught 20 bass mostly spots. The majority were caugh on a medium diving crank bait in shad color off steep rocky banks in the east river area. Fish were suspended and would not bite soft plastics on the bottom. The exception was a few fish caught on drop shot during the fall.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Use your electronics and fish where the fish are.

Report: Yes, you can drop shot a 7 inch worm. I have dropped shotted a 12 inch worm. The secret is to buy small plastic bubbles that allow them to float slightly or give them a negative buoyancy and insert them just past the head of the worm. works great, catches fish...think outside the box

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished WON BASS team with Gary Watts, we didn't do great with 4 fish at just under 8 pounds. Winners Lee Sanchez and Bill Martin of Valley Springs caught big fish 8.41-pound kicker and 16.62 pounds total dartheading and drop-shotting in 12 to 28 feet of water on rock structure. Water was pretty clear, just a light stain. 54 degrees surf temp. Conditions were perfect with warm temp (for January) and overcast part of the day.
    City: Foresthill

Tips: A mix of fish, brown jigs, darthead worms and drop-shot all worked, most fish caught from 12 to 30 feet for most of the anglers. See the complete results on www.wonbass.com, motherlode region results.

Report: Went out with my dad and my uncle today. Tried to ind those big balls o bait. Tried an underwater damn to the let o the launching ramp with 1 keeper only 1#. Went back into China Gulch and couldn't ind the bait. Back out into the river to try some channels. Found some bait and caught 5 ish all around 20-30t deep. All ish were small. Two weeks ago caught all ish in between 2-3 pounds. Now they're only 1-11/2 pounds. I ended up teaching them how to drop shot and caught 5. A little embarrasing being 30 years younger and knowing more. They taught me a lot too though.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Fish are still holding deep but don't be araid to try some shallow stu. Fished two weeks ago and caught 2 3# on blades. Fished some shallows today and i caught a dink trout on a lucky crat. Hologram shad roboworm caught all my ish today.

Report: Day was beautiul. Overcast in the mornings, clear in the aternoon, slight breeze, air temp around the low 70's. Bass was slim pickin's though. 5 bass in two days. Biggest was maybe 1.5 lbs near the dam. Lots o structure. Either they weren't hungry or they weren't there. Fished the north end and the dam area. Pretty disappointed. I hope Camanche isn't like this all the time.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Threw spinners, topwater, jigs, cranks, and worms. Only had bites on Senkos and tubebaits.

    Water Temp: 63

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Since I have not seen a posting on this lake since mid March I will update it based on my recent experience. Looked or bass in the typical spawning locations. Water temp says they should be in the backs o the coves and secondary staging points in the cove. NOT There. Found 18 ish in 12-15 t o water along deeper river channel shoreline - rocky shores the best bet. 2.7 lbs was the best ish. Four ish in the 2 lb range. Rest were 1.5 lb clones. Sot plastics got all the ish which should be no surprise since that is all I tried. Senko, brush hog, lizzards, worms. Senko bites during early morning low light conditions only. None ater 8:00AM. Caught one 2lb trout trolling or trout mid day on a rappala near hat island.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Sot plastics 12-15 t along rocky shoreline with deeper drop near. Nothing shallow.

Report: Started in the river arm w/a pointer 128 in the back o a creek. Stopped the lure as I ripped it along and it got heavy w/a 2.8 lm. A ew minutes later, my partner, Je nails a 2.5 spot on a white on white spinnerbait. Then I dump a spot o similar size. Around this point, he bangs another 2.5 spot, and I dump another one.........I pick up the spinnerbait and catch a couple o 1.6's quick. Picked up a 3 lmb then it died. Fished up toward the bridge w/no success till I banged a 3.25 spot on a piling on a spinnerbait and then break o my next bite on 25 lb test.......must retie . He gets a keeper on a lash minnow but then no more action. Splitshot 3 more keepers where we originally started in the morning and Je caught his 4th on a texas rigged 6" worm. Later, James and Pat are in my area so we shared. Saw James catch a 3+lmb splitshotting as well. No bites or me rom 1:30-3! Best 5 went over 12 lbs or second place.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: spinnerbaits and ripbaits early then dragging rubber.

Report: Fished gold country club tourney on saturday. We had rain, hail, thunder, lighting and sunshine. So it was a airly tough bite or most. I managed 4 largemouth or 12.68lbs with a 6.23 kicker. Caught my ish splitshotting a 4 inch lizard in shallow water 0-15 eet. Big ish came in two eet o water up the river. Guy in second had a 5 ish limit with 12.63lbs. I think he splitshotted some ish with a ew reaction bites early. Main body extremely clear, river arm has some color. ZERO jig ish today.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: When the bite is tough, splitshotting seems to always get a ew ish. Light line (8lbs) and small baits work or me.

Report: Only ished a total o 7 hours over the 3 days. On Friday aternoon, while the kids were swimming o the boat, I decided to throw a Baby Senko and caught a 5 pounder. Fished 3 hours Saturday morning and caught 3 very small ish on topwater. Things were better Sunday morning. Had a limit by 7:30, including a 4 and two 3s, all on poppers. The topwater bite shut down at 8:00. Was able to pick up a ew small spots with the Baby Senko o rocky points.
    City: Pinole

Tips: Fish topwater rom irst light until the bite dies, then switch to plastics and a slow presentation. Fish topwater baits over weed beds, and the plastics o points.
