    Water Temp: 69

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: It was a tough bite for us. One short fish in the boat on drop shot. Other guys also found it tough, with 2 teams with no fish to weigh in. Few limits. Some in club found good fish with winning weight over 15 lb with a 6.7 kicker. Graphed fish, but could not get them to go. graphed bait, got no fish around them to go.
    City: Sac

Tips: cover water. They're biting somewhere.... somewhere else for us..... slow techniques seemed to be the flavor of the day....

Report: Fished the weekend. Only fished AM and PM nothing mid day. Caught 25 bass mostly spots. There was a hit and miss top water bite and a good crank bait bite PMs. Picked up a 7.4 lbs and a 3.5 lbs LM on a top water plus a bunch of smaller spots. The crank bait fish were all spots on a 1.5 KVD crank on steep rocky banks. Nothing on carolina rig or drop shot.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Fish top water early AM and after 6:30 PM. Mix casts with a crank bait to see what they want. Work steep banks with large chunk rock close to the shore casting parallel to the bank.

    City: Foster City

Tips: Top water AM and PM. Carolina plastics the rest of the day. Try crank off and on all day on rocky shore.

    Water Temp: 67-70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched from the North Shore at 8:30am. Sunny day, no clouds, no wind, 10+ foot visibility. Went directly across the lake to the South shore dike. Saw a few fish breaking the surface in and around the submerged islands with stick-ups on top. We went to the dike wall and fished plastics (C-rig, watermelon baby brush hog) and crank baits. We were fishing in 4-10 feet of water. Spent 1 hour without a tap. Fished around the submerged islands in deeper water (18-25) and got our first bite on C-rig worm (brown with chartruse tail). My partner and I got a few more taps but were a little slow on setting the hook. On the trolling motor, we went to the East and found a shallow bay filled with small rocks and few trees in 8-10 feet of water. Stuck my first fish at 11am on a C-rig using oxblood with red flake 5" worm (15" LMB, 15ft deep). Moved thru this bay and stuck another (16" LMB) on same rig. My partner lost one on a Senko (Watermellon). My partner lost another on Senko (Watermellon). Got a few more taps on the C-rig but did not hook them.
Took a 1-hour lunch break under a huge Oak tree on one of the islands. So, back at it and I land a 13" LMB on a drop-shot rig using a 4" curly tail shad pattern at 20-25 feet deep around the houseboats that are docked on the North Shore. Fished around the submerged island (12-15 ft) but no takers. Went back to the shallow bay with trees & rocks and hooked a monster on C-rig (oxblood with red flake). I thought it was going to break my line so I went to adjust my drag and the fish came off (rookie mistake!) Must have added a split second of slack in the line. Hooked another but did not set the hook well. (Another rookie mistake!) All the while my partner has been trying different colors and techniques without nary a bite. We finally make it back to the North Shore marina 4:45pm, stop near the rocky cliffs and both my partner and I hook up with fish at the same time using C-rigs (Oxblood with red flake) in 15-20 ft. We ended with only 6 fish in the boat but it was a great day away from the office.
    City: San Jose

Tips: We tried topwater in the morning with no success. Bite was soft. Watermellon and Oxblood colors seemed best. Only a slight breeze all day.

    Water Temp: 67 to 72

Report: Clear water got to love it. Sight fishing is always fun. Me and my partner got abot 25 bass from 1 to 3 lbs. All on plasics. Robos,Sincos and anything that was plastic. My partner hooked a bass around 10 lbs but could not land it. "8lb test P Line" Dumb Ass. Mix of spots and florida bass. Tons of fun. Lots of big bass at this lake.
    City: Citrus Heights

Tips: Use line stronger than 8lb test

    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Really tough bite. No top water am or pm with one brief 1 hr exception between 7-8 Sat evening. Caught about 20 total fish largest 2.5lbs on top water. All fish caught on drop shot or popR shallow less than 10 ft. Mud lines and weed lines were the only pattern. Should get better when the water temp drops. Slow bite probably due to lake draw down.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Drop shot along weed lines or mud lines shallow.

    Water Temp: 80 +/-

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: On the lake at 6:15 am headed up to the dam and fished the riprap with no luck, fished some of the humps where I saw alot of fish on the graph and caught two small spots; decided to go fish up the river and threw everything I had in the boat with no luck. Fished under the bridge and caught a 2 lb at the piling and then watched two jump off the bridge right where I was fising. Slow day and only had the three bites.
    City: Elk Grove

Tips: Not sure i have any as I didn't do very well today.

    Water Temp: 82

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished AM for a couple of hours Sat and Sun. Very slow bite. Picked up a total of 13 fish all spots except 2 smallies. Drop shot robo in morning dawn, a couple on PopR topwater and shallow crank bait were the only producers. Thought there would be a big AM topwater bite and almost nothing. Had one HUGE blow up on a frog in weeds 2 ft deep. Swung and missed. Nothing on Crig plastics. Fish were shallow on points.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Tips: Fish shallow on points and any shallow water with weeds. Try crank bait drop shot robo worms. Forget top water even though it looks perfect for throwing one.

    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the 4th Holiday weekend. Caught 25-30 bass mostly spots. Caught several really big fish. Lagest was 9lbs, then a 5lb, a couple of 3-4lbs. Bite was actually pretty tough with the boat traffic. Fish were all shallow on points. Biggest fish were taken on top water, PopR and Jitter Bug late evening. Lots of AM fish caught on shallow crankbait and C-rig plastics.
    City: Foster City

Tips: No top water AM. Look for shallow points with weeds. Start with shallow crankbait then work the productive areas with Carolina rig. Fish were 1-5 ft deep.

    Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished May 5-7. Caught 30 bass mostly spots. Caught 2 big LM one over 7 lbs and one over 8 lbs. Caught all fish on one of 3 lures. First top water PopR. Second KVD 1.5 Sexy Shad and third a Crig brush hog. All fish were caught in 1-5 ft on shallow flats and the back of coves. Great fun. Missed about 20 top water bites. When I switched from a Tiny Torpedo to PopR I hooked them. They were coming out of the water and hitting my top water bait from the top down where there are no hooks. Rarely seen that.
    City: Foster City

Tips: Start with shallow crank. Switch to plastics when you find fish. Top water PM after the water warms to 70deg. Fish shallow 1-10 ft.

    Water Temp: 60 deg

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out for 5 hrs and saw 3 bed fish in over a mile of shoreline. Picked up one 2.5 lb Spot/Smallie hybrid on MMII in 8 feet off first ledge. Marked fish still in 15 - 18 ft. Tried jigs, chatterbaits, drops, and creatures with nobody taking interest. Tried white spinnerbait and had 3 short strikes, all tentative. Water warmed from 58-60 deg.
    City: Elk Grove

Tips: water clarity is 10 ft and stealth is a must. Spawning looks to be right around the corner. The last cold front probably pushed it back a week until things really happen. Saw one nice pair actively spawning 3 lb/5 lb that were very bright color suggesting they had just come up. Saw one big gal by herself in 3 ft. pushing 8 lb+

    Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Cloudy with some wind. took the son-in-law since he too is not working. first and only stop was the second dike. we had over 30 fish each and they were all around a pound. we could of looked for bigger fish but the dike blocks the wind so good why leave. I let my son use my old pistol grip rod from the 1970s and told him to set the hook as hard as he could when felt a bite. After the 8th fish he caught on to my joke asked for a different rod. most of the fish today were spots with a few trout mixed in. we stay next to some old tree line in 35 ft of water we lost about 12 jigs and a few drop shots. good day
    City: Lodi

Tips: the crazy color did not do well for us, the more natural colors were getting snacked hard. for jigs try 1/4 or 3/8 clear olive with watermelon or light smoke. drop shot was not as good but did produce. we use 4 inch green robo worms the purples, shad patterns and the larger worm did not work for us. when you catch you first fish start fishing small and slow. good luck and be safe.

Report: Fished for 2 1/2 days last weekend. Caught and released over 50 bass both largemouth and spots. Biggest was just under 5lbs and took several in the 3-4bls class. The big fish were caught early and late on top water (PopR). The rest were caught on either shallow crank or drop shot in 1 to 5ft of water in grass lines. Great fishing. WX was very cool with a front approaching so the bite was off the hook
    City: Foster City

Tips: Chug bait or prop bait top water early and late evening around grass edges. Fish very shallow crank baits and 4" worm drop shot in the weeds.
