Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: dropshottin 7 inch sencos is possible wacky rig them on a drop shot i've done this. I did it at clear lake and yes there was a pig caught on it, 5 lbs. it depends on the lake certain fish like big profile and certain fish like small profile. yes a 7 inch senco sinks hella fat you gotta keep it movin in a natural way.
City: sacTips: look more into the lake before you fish it. the more knowledge the better chances you have on putting a pattern together.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: riverats... throw drop shot, dd cranks, ripbaits, grubs, shaky head. mostly smaller lures, stick to a slow presentation w/plastics, and look for rock piles, and drop-offs.. main body points etc... for topwaters i'd stay small poppers, zara puppies etc...

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Holiday weekend and tons of boats along with rapidly rising water killed the bass bite. Caught 23 LM and Spots mostly in the river area in 15ft along rocky banks with a drop near. No real pattern. Fish were scattered. Caught a few on top water one evening. My best bait was a carolina rigged senko. Many fish were in the 3lbs range. And yes you can drop-shot a senko and catch fish. It is a great presentation in certain conditions.
City: Foster CityTips: Wait until the water stabilizes before fishing this lake if you want any serious numbers of fish.

Water Temp: 54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 8:30 to 1:30. 2 spots all day and about 7 bites. Threw jigs, tubes, jerks, and cranks. No reaction bite at all
City: sacramentoTips: Both fish came on a drop shot MMII as did the vast majority of the bites. Wait for the water to stay relatively level for a couple weeks and then give it a shot. The fish are confused just like the fishermen. It's still very low though

Water Temp: 49.5 - 52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: El Dorado Bass put out 11 boats for our first tournament of year. My partner and I caught 7 fish in the 1 - 3lb range. Most were caught on brown or brown/purple football jigs with a watermelon twin tail grub trailer. Find points and shores with dirt/rip rap combination and drag the jig very slowly at 25 - 30'depth. Bites are obvious, nothing subtle about them. Also caught a couple on Green Pumpkin tubes fished at same depth.
4 boat brought in limits. We took third with 10.2lb lbs. First place bag was 19.5 lbs thanks to a 9.5lb monster caught 15 minutes before weigh-in.
City: El Dorado HillsTips: Rip rap, 25' and go slow. You will catch fish.

Water Temp: 48-50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Hit Camanche over the weekend for some review work. Launched out of the North Shore low water ramp at about 8:00am or 8:30am. We were trying to force a crankbait bite and finally managed a handful of crazy spots towards the end of the day.
Water temps are hovering just under 50 degrees and the lake level is about the same as it was during our last serious drought in the late 80's early 90's. Still a little higher than that low point but getting close.
City: San MateoTips: Looks like most of the bassers on the water were dropshotting out on the main lake points. We were throwing cranks to get through some testing and did manage some towards the end of the day though no size.

Water Temp: 51 F
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: What a day. STarted out around 39 degrees but warmed up to around 65 or something!! by 10 am, all the thermal underwear was off. sure is fun fishing in Jan with short sleeves! okay, to the fishing. overall it was a tough bite. our club fished with around 22 boats blasting off at the North shore low water ramp (1 lane only with short dock). we caught a total of 8 fish. first 4 on one spot we camped at from 7 till noon: one on tube, others on darterhead, all in around 10 feet. tried adjacent deeper water with no luck. when we decided the fish were not going to move up on this spot (like they had in pre fish the week prior for my partner), we moved to a side of a hump adjacent to a creek near Hat Island. we dragged along this slope and hooked up 4 more to cull out 3, and missed 3 more. all on jigs or hula grubs around 20-30 ft. weighed in 11 even for 4th place, with 1st place around 12.2 lb. despite 1 week of stable and warming weather, the reaction bite was not there. minimal wind today. water level around 38% of full. no one broke a prop (that I know of) and everyone made it back safely.
City: FolsomTips: Fish slow. try shallow, try deep, try all your slow techniques. we marked no bait nor fish when we caught these. brown jigs, green pumpkin tubes and hula grubs are what worked for us today.

Water Temp: 49 - 51
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Bite was tough for us today. Only boated 2-3 fish each. All were keepers in the 1lb. to 2lb. range, and all were caught on plastics in 10' to 25' of water. Water is lower than I have ever seen it.
City: ModestoTips: Watch your graph, when you find them fish slow with plastics, jigs, and spoons.

Water Temp: 64-67
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: 9 boats from the Basin Bassmasters did their last tournament for the year. The wining weight was 8.92 lbs for five bass, second place was 8.84 lbs. In the morning we found no top water, but rippin helped for some. CaptJack's jigs did a big part for some of the anglers in 25-35 ft along rocky banks with deep water nearby. The main body was working for most. Try colors in green/browns or brown purple. Drop short was another way with a small worm and 6 lb test line.
City: RocklinTips: don't forget when bit gets slow you go small and very slow.

Water Temp: 77
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 7am - Noon. Caught one dink on a darthead hula grub at 11:30 but nothing else. Not even a bite. Some fish jumping out of the water but couldn't tell what they were or what they were after. Fished 10 - 30 ft water with wacky, darthead, traps with no success. North ramp on island. Only had trolling motor so didn't venture too far. Also tried anchovies for catfish with no luck.

Water Temp: 81
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Friday and Saturday. Good on Friday and shut down on Sat when the holiday crowd arrived. Caught and released 22 bass, mostly spots up to 4lbs. Biggest were caught on top water along rock walls during the evening top water bite which was wild. They loved my frog but I missed as many as I caught. The rest came on a combination of drop shot robo worm, brass n glass cut tail worm, and carolina rig brush hog. All caught in the river area near rocky points in 8-25ft of water.
City: Foster CityTips: Early and late fishing is really good. Hang out and take a nap between 10:00 am and 4:00PM then get after them. Don't be afraid to fish shallow. There are some big ones in less that 8ft of water.

Water Temp: 80-82
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: OK, a little expensive but worth it. Clearlake size bass. But few and far between. Fished 6am til 11:30 p.m. didn't know you had to be off the water by dusk! One blow up on a buzz early on, no more topwater the rest of the day. Caught some large ones by what are now islands to the east. Kept heading up the river channel where we caught a 7lber! I'm not lying. I wish we could put up pictures here. Caught in 8!foot of water 82 degrees on a christmas colored senko. Go Figure? Caught a nice one on white senko next to bridge pylon but got away a foot from the boat! would have ran 4 lb's. No bite on brush hawgs of any color, weird I know, but my brother in law fishes them all day every time we go out. NO BRUSH HAWG bite at this time. No reaction bite at all at this time either. Only caught on brass and glass aarons magic and green weenie and Wacky senkos all day nothing else worked. A really weird lake, the usual stuff doesn't work at this time? It was our first time here though.
All in All fisher #1 1 fish went for a pound
fisher #2 one limit all fish 1 1/2 - 4lb's
fisher #3 over limit from 2-7 lb's
Maybe the eclipse the day before had something to do with the finicky fish?? Like I said though, our first time there. BITE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY AFTER DARK!
City: HaywardTips: low and slow! Drag worms off the banks, drop wacky in places that you don't really think are holding and RELEASE every bass you catch to make this an awesome fishery!
