Report: Slayed the 2-5 pound fish in rock creek on Carolina rigged lizards and drop shots. Put over 40 fish in the boat, with a first timer. Could not buy a fish on reaction baits, they wanted everything slow. All fish came in 10'-15' of water.

Report: I took my brother and son out. We got on the lake about 8:30 out of the north ramp. We went east of the ramp and fished crank baits and tubes. I landed 2 1.5lbs off the crank and that was it. We also went by the dam and up by the river inlet nothing

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Outstanding. Ok, we used minnows, but we found bass in 7-9 to 20-25 feet. Caught and released at least 30 bass up to 3 pounds. A mix of both males and females. Something though (striper or a channel cat) grabbed the minnow and stripped about 50 feet of line out before it snapped.

Water Temp: 54-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My dad and I went out fishing and it started out slow until my dad got about a 1 pounder on a drop shot at only 10 feet of water. Then he landed a nice 3 pounder on a tube by a rocky bank. Finally I caught a 1 and a half pounder on another tube. After that we headed over to the back of a cove around the main body and I landed a nice keeper on a crankbait (shad color). My dad caught two other small bass on tubes still. After that we headed over to the southside of the lake and I caught about a two pounder on the same crankbait. My dad also landed two more bass still using a tube. He stuck with a tube most of the day and I used a combination of crankbaits and tubes. We ended up with ten fish altogether. The fish are starting to move back into the back of coves and they're starting to spawn. We enjoyed a great day of fishing.
City: carmichaelTips: Fish structures at five to fifteen feet of water. Slow roll reaction baits and soft plastics.

Moving into the Bear Creek and way back in a cove in 10-25 ft, finding four keepers. Back to the opening of the creek, draging a jig we managed to get a 4.8 spot. Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Lake is full and clearing up quickly. Turkey shoot yesterday produced some nice fish while my partner Dick and I managed a five fish win with 12.41. Fish are starting to move up but you have to work the 25-30 depths. Another week or so and this lake will explode, pumping out a lot of big fish so give it a look.
City: WheatlandTips: Our pattern was dragging plastic on a carolina rig, using the carolina keeper, a 1 oz brass weight with a glass bead setting it about 18". Don't try and look for the fish on your electronics, rather look for the right depth as they are moving in and out and may not be seen but are there. The new north side ramp is absolutely beautiful, they did an A1 job with plenty of paved parking and new rest facilities. Lake is full and clearing nicely.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The water is way down and launching is from the South ramp. There is no dock and you have to pull up to the shore to get your partner. The ramp is pretty flat so you have to back up quite a bit. Now that's the bad news. The good news is the fish are very cooperative. Len and I caught about 12 solid keepers and several smaller fish. A mix of spots and blacks. They bit tubes, jigs and dropshot 4" worms. Remember to have fun and leave the fish behind!
City: RosevilleTips: chunk rock banks and secondary drop offs. found fish almost everywhere we tried.

Water Temp: UH ???
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went to CFW this morning to get in a little fishing. Got three on light green & pepper worm. There is a really nice launching facility now. Nicely laid out too. Got on the water at 6am, the water level is dropping quite a bit. The spillway is high and dry. While fishing on the river arm I look up and see a full race clown boat, V8 big block come screaming past. They turned around and came back the same way. Moving so fast that there was very little wake. As I moved out of that arm I hear drag boat after drag boat blasting off. I find out later that this is time trials for a drag race this weekend at CFW. I left at 1PM talked to the man that takes the money and he says by the end of the summer there won't be much water at all. He said there is 40% more rice this year and they're scheduled to lose most of there water. When this happens they are going to extend the launch ramp another 200 ft into the water. SO CFW is going to dry up soon.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: out in the water at 730am with only a handful of other boats, fished the southside (in case you dont know and are planning on coming here, northside is still closed for remodeling and boat ramp so dont go there yet). lake is completely full and really clearing up beautifully. first fish was a dinky spottie within 10 minutes, than nothing much for the rest of the morning except 2 others with maybe a few missed strikes. Tried topwater zara pup and white spinnerbait early, a few crankbaits later on then dragged Senkos the rest of the day. about 2pm on the way in, landed 7 healthy and spunky spotties, all in 2-3lb range with the largest going 3.6lb, no largemouths caught. so actually finished the last hour or so with a good feeling. only two water skiers and no jet skiers during the afternoon, but this will soon change. forget fishing on weekends here soon and get away on a weekday instead. chances will be better and much more peaceful.
City: yuba cityTips: fish 10-15 feet down during post morning hours which peaked at 2pm on this day. dont forget to release the bass ASAP as the prespawn begins. key in on the taller trees that cast shadows on the water right by it, a bass could be sitting in that shadow as i witnessed and did manage to catch one by the banked houseboat with numerous structure and blugill all around it.
