Report: Went "sailing" on Sunday. The lake is ull but still a little cold. Bass were scattered and I only managed 3 small ones on a dart headed worm. All I could do with the wind was drag the bait and wait or a hit. I got nothing on crankbaits.

Water Temp: 51+
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: This was my second trip in a week and can certainly attest to the act that the bite is coming on. I blanked last week while my partner got one but yesterday I had my count up to 6 with backseater getting about the same. Bite was on Senko's and jigs and ish averaged 2 pounds each. There was also a tournament going on with about 10 boats rom the Yuba City club and 3 ish won it...however, one was over 8 pounds and a real beauty! Congrats to Jackie the winner. With the lake about 3' rom ull the ish are moving and no real solid pattern established, however some were caught deep, some shallow. Only getting better and it's a good time to go beore all the powerboats start showing up.
City: WHEATLANDTips: Fish were caught on white hair jigs with a white grub tipped in chartruese, white tube baits and red/black Senko. Also got a nice one rippin'.

Water Temp: no water
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: went to this lake as it has been good to me in the past ew alls. NO WATER, and I don't mean low, I mean NO WATER. It looks like a river. The manager at the check in said that it had not been this low in 11 years and the oweners were still selling water to the armers. Perhaps the oweners can put up a marked course and have race boat tourn. and jet ski competition when it reills, since I would imagine most o the ish will be dead. Greed, I think I'm done now.

Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water about 8:00 am and split shot silver grey paddle tail worms. Immediatly caught a ew spots on steep banks in about 15 t. o water.I igured they were on a hot bite so decided to try some dierent stu.I jerked a luckycrat pointer and hooked one ater about twenty minutes. Then cranked and hooked one on the second or third cast, ater throwing twenty more minutes I had no more action. Let the main body to go up the Bear arm and ish the steep walls and had no luck at all. Ater two hours o skunk decided to go back to the main body and ish the warmer coves.Water got up to 53 deg. and I had a great time ishing the brush and trees. Any tree or bush in seven oot or more o water seemed to hold ish. I ished that pattern or about two hours and caught ive more, all told a nine ish day.
City: Granite Bay, Ca.Tips: weightless 5'' senkos in the wood. Color did'nt seem to matter. The bite is tension.

Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out and hit some sotballs around on Sunday morning, inishing up around noon and decided there was enough time to take a little trip to CFW. I love this little lake because it has all the ish that Folsom has in it with about a 1/4 o the pressure. The two guys I went with are just getting in to bass ishing, but already have the bug. I have been taking them to the delta quite a bit, but this lake ishing is a much dierent animal.around 2:30 we started ishing and I told them that I was going to start out dragging a majic worm and that they should either throw a darter head or a jig, just to mix it up. We didn't get anything or the irst hour or so, but that didn't matter because the weather was gorgeous. Around 3:45 Tim sets into a beautiul 2 1/2 pound spound on a w/red baby b-hog. About 5 minuts later I hit a 1 1/2 pounder on a witches T darter head. John had a ew hits as well but missed them. We worked the area or another 20 minutes or so, but couldn't get any other action. To inish out the day, we worked a wall with some good rip-rap and structure and got one more 12 inch spot on a darter head.
City: rosevilleTips: Noticed that our ish came out o 10t o water. Not a horrible day or three hours o ishing. It did eel good to use some light tackle or a change. The weather was a bonus.

Move over to the south side and picked up a 2 lb spotty on baby brush hog. Nothing else the rest o the day. Comments have been correct about the loating dock. I you going to be by yoursel, plan on getting your eet wet.Until next time!

Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished this lake on the 26th o last month and like the last entry I ound the experence interesting regarding the launch experience. This is unlike past years, as the lake is almost ull. Two o us ished rom 10:00-4:30 and boated 10-12 ish, the largest 3.2lb, electronic scale. That was my buddy's and I thought I had him with a slightly longer ish, 2.8lb.The rest were the typical 1-1.5 lb. spots. Alot o submerged rocks, ect. Cost me a prop last year and poorly marked. This is a beautiul lake but on the small side or the usual ish.
City: SacramentoTips: Everything I caught was on a 1/4 oz. brown/orange weapon jig with a black/green pork trailer. Buddy on a Tex. Rig. baby brush hog. Nothing on blades, spoons, cranks.

Water Temp: 39 to 46
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: For this time o year I had a good day. I caught a total o 9 ish. All were spots ,1 to 2 lbs. caught seven on a jig and two on 5'' senkos. Was dragging the senkos weightless behind the boat while ishing the jigs orward. I you take pride in your boat, dont go to CFW.It seems to much o a bother or the lake manager to move the dock with the water level. When launching I had to tie a rope to my boat ,pull it to shore, then take o my shoes and wade in a ew steps to hop in the boat.I was airly ticked o the irst hour as my eet were reezing. I'll stop whining and just bring waders next time.
City: Granite Bay Ca.Tips: This is a honest report, unlike the previous one which I suspect is rom the lake manager. Oh yea, black quarter oz. jig with green double tail Yamamoto trailer.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Never thought I would be posting this time o year with the water so low at CFW but launching was not problem as you still have a paved launch but no dock. Fishing was surprisingly good with a ish on the irst cast using a 1/4 oz red speedtrap. Many ish on spinnerbaits and jigs and had a ball up the Bear River in the submerged willows using a Senko, laying it right on the brush and letting it all to a lower branch, pulling it o and they slammed it. Most o the ish were in the 2-3 pound range with some dinks. Nice day with no skiers or jet skiers and only 2 other boats the entire day. Fished any type o rocky point or deep wall and ish were right on the bank and as deep as 20'.
City: WheatlandTips: Double willow lea blades in chartruese/black hitting the bank and letting it all to the bottom and very slowly retrieving it back to the boat. Partner pulled the deep ones out dragging a jig in no particular color. Look or the balls o bait ish, they're everywhere!

Water Temp: High
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: In the 16 + years I've been ishing Camp Far West Lake, I've only seen the water lower than it is this year a couple o times. It's so low that otherwise innocent structure is now a distinct hazard to boaters.Unortunately, regardless o these low water hazards, the jet skiers and hotrod boaters that the current management caters to continue to travel at very high speeds, making things even more dangerous and unpleasant or everyone else.
City: WheatlandTips: Wait to ish this lake until the rains return, the water levels rise and the hotrod boats stay home.

Water Temp: very warm
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Went out Sunday morning, the lake is gone. Caught a ew dinks up the Bear River arm (Rock & Bush creek arms are a nice place or tents right now.) Lake is in poor shape butound yellow rat'l traps the only thing they would hit.
City: sactoTips: Don't waste too much time here until the water comes back up.

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: My buddy got a new boat and wanted to get it out so I suggested CFW. I igured it would be a little less crazy than Folsom. WRONG! We launched around 5:30 pm and looked to get away rom the crazies. We ound a nice little cove that already had 3 bass boats in but we didn't care. It was just nice to ind a peaceul spot. The shadows were starting to get on the lake and we starting hitting some rip and mojo ish. Around 7pm or so the bite kicked in pretty good and we were getting ish on cranks, rip and topwater. I know the bite would o been a lot better i the water would o been a little bit clearer. It was pretty stained up rom the pleasure boaters and the wind. Still, it was such a kick hitting those spots on the little rip baits. Most o the ish were only a pound or so, but they hit like they are going to take your arms o. We ended with 25 ish or so up to 2 pounds. All spots.
City: roseville, caTips: Fish in 2 to 10 eet o water. Just about all methods are working.
