Water Temp: 78.5
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The Lake is really low, it was airly calm with some morning coastal og until about 12:30pm I started throwing a mega bass giant dog-x top water lure. never have I ever caught so many bass at lake casitas like this day. All morning I was cacthing Bass rangeging rom 3 to 5 pounds, also caught a 7.5 pounder using the same bait. I also lost about 4 other bass that might have been in the range o 5 to 10 pounds but I had my darn drag set too tight, so I kept ripping lips. inally I set my drag just right. I continued working the shore lines. throwing my bait believe it or not I was still catching bass in the 5 pound range till about 12:30 pm. As soon as the sun came out the bass scatterd like roaches into deep water and the un was over.I also caught about 2 more bass just dragging a reaper. but nothing else, just about then the wind kicked up and I thru a lucky crat top water bait to the shore line and caught 2 more bass in the range o about 3 pounds each. Thats all the ino that I have or you. Good Fishing
City: HesperiaTips: This time o the year bass are more agressive in the morning, do to the act o the water temp, being just right. and more bait travling along the shores in balls. Bass will move in and out orm shore eeding on shads. and an ocasional crawish i they can ind them. My tip to you is to work those shore lines like crazy untill the sun comes up. work the water anywhere rom 4 20 eet deep, and yes they will come up and get that bait even rom deep water.

Report: got on the water around 7:30 am and went directly to the cove just to the let o the sunken island. saw a large boil way back in the cove around the grass line. Threw a POP-R in a silver color right into that same spot, and boom!!! that ish just killed my lure. ended up being an 8 pounder. caught my second ish on the lats way to the west end o the lake. was using a small rapala that looked like a gold shad. that one was a hog at just over 10 pounds. all in all, it was a good day on the lake!
City: hollywoodTips: this was actually the irst time i've caught big ish on something other than the drop shot at casitas. guess it pays o to try new things!

Report: THE BEST WAY TO GET YOUR NAME IN THE PAPER HER IS TO DO WHAT ALL THE BIG CHEATERS DO AND GE YOUR TROUT BAIT READY, WHAIT UNTIL A NICE LITTLE TROUT HITS SET THE HOOK. ONCE THE FISH IS ON JUST PUT IT IN FREE SPOOL AND WHAIT UNTIL A BIG BASS FINDS HIM, THIS WORKS EVERY TIME.
City: anahiemTips: DURING TROUT PLANTS BASS FEED LIKE CRAZY ON TROUT AND EVEN IF YOU DONT SEE THE BASS THERE THIER. SO HAVE SOME PATIENCE

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Weather was pretty good considering we havn't had much o it lately, but my daughters, and I landed a good size bass 8 pounder...released it, caught it with a nightcrawler, also landed a good size redear on a nighcrawler, at the west end ..lost at least 2 more bass..had a problem reeling them in..on a 6 pound test line..that my daughter usually uses or red ear..they gave her a ight, but it was a great day! or ishing.
City: OxnardTips: 8 pound testline clear...with a small split shot, and size 8 salmon hook with a whole nightcrawler drop it in weed beds, and slowly bring it back little by little and bam..you too can have a good size ish..but this requires some patience..i you don't have it orget it.

Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The bass are still near their nesting beds at this lake, but are now getting tougher to catch. A ew things are starting to change now. Some ish are now done spawning and are starting to move out, then the water has dropped a good 10 to 15 t. since a week ago which really makes the ish spooky when ished or, and let's ace it, most o the ish have been ished over or a couple o months now and are just not going to be ooled that easy! We did see a good number o double digit bass swimming around but when we pulled up, they (most o the time) headed or deeper water.
City: Los AngelesTips: There are several ways to succeed at this lake, live crawdads, drop shotting, sometimes hard baits, plastics on "brass and glass", big trout lures, etc. However a lot o people like to sight ish or bass here especially in spring. I have to admit this is not my personal avorite but it DOES work when the ish are holdind on a bed and won't tolerate anything coming into their bed area. With the ino mentioned above it's getting tougher to catch a ew. Three o us only scored two ish 2.5 and 4 lbs or 5 hours ishing. Egh! Tough! Also I should mention that right now the park is in the middle a remodle o the parking/boat ramp area and it's a mess! You'll have to drive over dirt right now to launch your boat. According to someone I talked to in the snack bar this will be going on or the next three weeks. Good luck!

Report: I've been here twice, tomorrow or Sunday will be my third time. Will the third time be a charm? Thus ar I have embarrassly been skuuunkkkeddd. I think I was preoccupied by my kids and wie. I am looking or a quick ishing ix usually. I need only discuss the best. What works. Those damn bass, they saw me and I saw them. It was like talking to riends who didn't listen. Whaaaaats up? Anyway I think this weekend I'll get lucky. I am bringing a truck so a can haul the tonage.

Report: Thank God! Je got out a report as I'm seriously tired o looking at the tripe that was prior to his post and whineing about it as I may, as have...And it's still there! I got out in the WON Team Tournament 6 rom last out o the Marina"Bad draw" and blew down to the wadaliegh arm and threw reaction baits or 30 minutes and then went to the model airplane strip and started shallow and worked my way out....It went the way I'd igured and had zip or the irst hour so, I told my partner to hang on as we were going to make a move and when we got there ,,,,,there wouldn't be anybody there !!!!!! Surprise nobody home and I told him I was going to spoon up our bigest ish and in 5 minutes I had a 3.5 lber. ....She died in 30 seconds even though I had her needled pretty quick she looked like a cowcod rom 150 eet....She did come rom 50+ and sad to say that's the irsat dead ish I have ever weighed in.....We stayed or awhile and with no other takers....So ater watching a Bazillion boats on a point I told my partner watch and let me know i it cleared....a ew hours later we went over and I explained to him that " In the old days we never ished the obvious stu or the secondary places but we ished where the tircheary "3RD" place's were and told him that the trout guys had beat the ish o o the spot and everybody else had ished the edges so cast over there and he was reeling in that 2nd ish in seconds.....I elt pretty good about that and igured we might be doing well.....That was our last bite......AND we ished very hard but to no avail....My hats o to the olks who stuck to they're guns....We did not preish and I belived that the big ish pattern would crash because o the ull moon and we only ished or "Small" ish or some points....We are now in a three way tie or 14th and we'll have to get it together or the Pyramid Feb. Thing
City: Santa BarbaraTips: I was sure that the ish on my graph in 50+ eet were the ones I needed and they can be caught on a spoon but they need to be released immediatly!!!!

Report: Fished the WON tourney Saturday at Casitas and was it tough. During pre-ishing I had been doing really well on the spoon when I could ind shad, but during the tourney we couldn't even get close to the spots that I was catching them. There was at least 3 boats all day in the area that I had all my luck. so we threw worms all day or one bite each, sucks! Well better luck next time.

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I started ishing at 6:30 with my dad. I ished a topwater or about a 1/2 hour.No takers. I then went to dropshotting. I was ishing an underwater point that slowly tapered o to deeper water. I was ishing in 40' o water. I ished 4'' Robo's. At around 7:30 I hooked up to a nice bass. I ought him or about 10 minutes. He weighed 8lbs 3oz. A very nice bass to start the mourning with. Later in the day my dad got two bass. one 2 and 1/2 lbs and another 2lbs 2oz. Beore I went in I threw a osprey and 4 bass over 8lbs ollowed it in. It was a good day.
City: VenturaTips: In the beginning o summer, bass at casitas are in the depth's. From 15 on up to 80'. All are bass we caught were in water 30+. Fish deeper water. You will see bass up shallow in groups but they are harder to catch I believe. When it gets tu, ish the dropshot with a short leader and small worms. Its a true winner.
