Water Temp: 70
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished a Sun late aternoon/night trip and a Mon night trip and landed 14 or the two trips - 2 biggest were on Mon, 6-3 and a 6-7, both on 10" Power worms. Sun night was the most miserable summer evening I have ever seen at Clear Lake - very cold strong wind gusts the whole trip. We elt good i we could cast our baits close to our target!! I looked or little pockets in the back o Konocti Bay that might not have cooled o as much because o the wind. It worked - clients caught 3 or 4 ish and I got a couple - mostly on black/red brush hogs. Biggest was just under 5 lbs. Mon the wind just quit an hour ater dark and we could enjoy our ishing and were able to land a 21 lb limit. One client got his irst Senko ish at night using a color I recommend or low light conditions, #135. The 2 six pounders came rom deep water - up to 25 eet. Because o the "winter" storm, most quality ish moved to deeper water. Warm weather should bring them back up to begin the all eed.
City: Yuba CityTips: The new Berkley Power Hog in Junebug seems to be a winner. That bait has worked very well the past ew trips!!

Water Temp: 71
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished with brother sPat and Bones or a un weekend at Clear Lake. Fishing wasn't as easy as it could have been or this time o year but they are there. A lot o good ish are deep. We caught a ew over 3# on jigs and blades shallow in tules and weeds but the 5's and 6's came rom 8' to 15' o water o rock areas on super slowly movin' cranks. Just bump the bottom and stop then wham. Lost a couple that were pretty big saw two at the boat, one about 5 and the other about 9. Landed some goodies as well! Managed a couple o good 5 ish limits over 20#.
City: BAy PointTips: Be persistant and deal with the wind because these are the places to be. Go to your deeper rock areas and crank deep shad patterns and play those dawgs out, don't yank 'em too hard, they'll whoop ya!!

Water Temp: 70'
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: While trying to preish or the up-coming Stratos tourney, saw several compeditors on the water yesterday, braving the ierce morning breezes, and choppy waters o the south. Lots o dinks shallow, but the better ish are still deep.(10'-15')Caught three cranking rocks, two o which came un-buttoned, one elt real nice as it pulled about 10' o drag beore she got o.My hooks were super sharp. It just seemed as though they didn't want it real bad, post- rontal conditions and all.Brought another near the boat on a Senko, but she came un-buttoned also.Bite should improve next week. The nights are cooler now, so the water temp will start downward, moving the bigger ish shallow.
City: San LeandroTips: Too much wind!!!!!!!!!!!

Report: I am presenting this report because I promised Mr. Bill Lloyd who was helpull to me. the Red blu bass anglers ished a tournament which started at 6:pm saturday the 19, and ran till midnight there was a weigh-in and one hour lay over and the tournament continued rom 1:am till 7:pm on sunday morning.. The tournament was won by Ron Yancey with just under 20 lbs. He shook black large plastics on poles all night on the south end o the lake. Big ish o the tournament 6 1/2 pounds was caught by Dan Padilla on a black buzz bait in the last hal hour o the tournament at Tule Island. His partner Bill Prince also buzzed a ish there 10 minutes later. Tim Vanek caught ish on a black 1/2 oz. jig on a rock point on the south end. Eric John using a black worm shook a ish o a pole pre-midnight in the south end. My partner rank Gutierrez and I caught 6 ish all on plastics in the sough end.. We had to blow ups on the black buzz bait right at dusk but caught neither ish. For me the key to ish was to ind a dock loating with lots o poles around it and ishing the darkest side. The ish were all caught between 2 and 15 eet most in the 2 to 4 oot range. It was slow but un..TOM
City: Red BluTips: The bite is changing daily, some good days top water and some not as good.. used large black with red lake plastics 10 1/2 or larger.

Shake the B hog at night and they thumped it pretty good. Dead stick the Senko in shallow shoreline spots during irst light. 1/4 oz. Duh jig on 10 lb test P line CXX lourescent during day light hours. I used the 15 lb test p-line CXX lourescent or Senkos and Brush Hogs at night. Strongest lourescent I've ever used.

Water Temp: 79-85
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the Rally this last weekend out o Lakeport. Not having been on the lake since early spring, I made long runs to the rock piles in the south end o the lake. Having heard the reports o the many crawdad sightings rom those who pre-ished, I tied on and stuck with my conidence bait a 1/2 oz brown jig with 164 twin tail Yamamoto trailer. Best bite or me was in the morning sessions up until about 11:00am. At irst I was not getting any takers on the jig rom 2'-25', as I was slowly crawling my jig on the bottom. I then began to drastically change the cadence, which began to trigger strikes. Man, they wanted that jig a hoppin and jumpin. I lost 7 really good ish beore I put my irst 5 pounder in the boat. I had to change rods and go to a 6'6" and 7' heavy to get a good solid hookset at the depth I was catching my ish. The bite was very strange and subtle. Jumping around to various rock ledges, I was able to start o with a 9.99 2 ish limit, they all came rom 25' to 35' o water. And my partner stuck one about 4#. I made a serious mistake sticking to these rock piles during the aternoon session, as I would learn the ollowing day. We blanked Saturday aternoon, no keepers but a ew 12.75" ish on the bluegill(214) SENKO around docks. The jig combo paid o right away on Sunday, but the irst bite I got was an enourmous TOAD, which I lost. I believe I lost two ish well over 10 pounds and another around 8 on the jig pattern the entire weekend, it was very rustrating to get the bites and loose these ish. I ended up catching our 3+ keepers and my partner got one around 4# too. We then began to lip our jigs into the loating vegitation, creating a dark, cool canopy, along various rocky banks. I stuck a nice 5 pounder and a couple o smaller ish that wouldn't keep. I ended up with 8+ pounds on Sunday's session. This is the pattern I should have went to on Saturday aternoon. We ished Spooks or the irst 30 minutes each morning with no takers and also had no blow ups on Frogs over the two days. The topwater bite was just not happening in the areas I was ishing.
City: OakleyTips: Stay deep. Take advantage o the crawdad explosion and ish craw imitating jigs. These big ClearLake bass are suspended out in the middle o the deeper areas o the southern part o the lake. They will periodically move up onto the various underwater humps and ledges to eed. It's slow ishing, but when you git one, it's gonna be a good one, just ask Seaters about Chris' 13.97. As the day moves on and the sun rises, look or the overgrown vegitation on the deeper rock banks. Drop jigs & SENKOs down into the pockets to the waiting ish hunkered below. When working the docks in the deeper areas, the best strike zone or these bigger ish is gonna be the last hal o the dock, right on the edge o the shaded side and out 10-15' past the end o the dock. For numbers o ish, mostly 12-15", toss SENKOs up to the bank and work them under the shallow protion o the docks.

So I went to rodman to lip. Went to a place I had good luck two years ago and they were there. rom Fri.to Sun.my partners and I got 18 ish that totaled over 68lbs got one over 7 one over 6 a 5+ and the rest rom 2.25 to 4.75 got only one under 13", had the time o my lie on Clear lake . Also got 2nd place at rally with 5 ish or 21.10lbs.Had a grate time, see ya .Rambo

Report: Fished the Rally this last weekend, & really concentrated on getting MommaDawg on some Fish.....I succeded. We ished walls & rockpiles most o the three sessions, & had air success.Momma caught 3 or 8+# including a 4.35#, all on Yamamoto Lil Ikas in the rootbeer color......these are like a tubeless tube.....grub body/ tube tail. She also lost or missed about 5 others, one o them pushing the 4# mark, & one we never did see, but it was a good one.I caught my ish 1 ripping, 1 on a jig(5#), & the rest on a grub in cotton candy color.
City: ModestoTips: Rumor has it that the rog bite is coming on, but or consitent action stay on the deep ish.

Report: This report is a bit late because o the rally. Thurs aternoon-night, partner and I caught 11 bass up to 5 3/4, mostly on #240 Senkos and Weapon jigs-Power Worms at night. We each caught a topwater ish on Chug Bugs at Buckingham point - 2-13 and 4-9. The big ish jinx continues or me as I hooked a 10+ lb bass on a Senko at 6:45 pm, north o Konocti Resort. Had her on or about 2 1/2 minutes, survived two jumps, and still lost her. That one broke my heart! The next cast produced a 5 on the same #240 Senko. I think that is a good color!! I let my partner o at 3 am and went back out or 2 hours and caught more 4 and 5 pounders in a short period than I have in a long time. Biggest was 7-5 - all were caught on 10" black power worms except one on a spinnerbait and one on a crankbait (black). Ended the 11 hour ishing session with 21 bass - the ive biggest at 27-3 lbs. Friday I was asked to take out a grampa and 2 grandsons who had been at Clear Lake all week and had not caught a ish. Took them out o M&M or two hours, starting at 11 am. The youngest grandson (11) caught a 4-2 on a splitshot morning dawn Magic worm. I couldn't believe it. He got it in on his own rod - 8 lb test!! That gave me a warm eeling all over. I even got a 3-7 on a white Terminator spinnerbait at 12:45 on a rockpile. The other grandson missed two. We were ishing on the west shore in the rattlesnake arm.
City: Yuba CityTips: I think the below average night bite might be turning around, maybe because we have several days o consistant weather. Fish are on rockpiles, ledges, and walls. The jig bite is good this year. Remember to look or shadows during ull moon periods. Open rockpiles are tough during the ull moon, unless the algae builds up.

Report: Fished with Keith Clow on Clearlake on the night o 8/2/00.We ished various rock piles around the lake. We caught a total o 12 ish between 3 to 7 pounds. I was lucky enough to catch the 7 pounder on a 10" black power worm. We took a 5# on a crankbait, 2 about 3#'s on a black spinner bait, and the remainder on power worms. The best 5 went about 23 to 24 pounds. Not bad or my ish night trip on Clearlake.
City: SuisunTips: Learn the lake by hiring a guide. It takes alot o the guess work out. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring Keith Clow.

Report: We went ishing or 3 days. the water was vey choppy. The3rd day was calm. I saw kids on the dock cathing crawdadsby the dozen. We were using black and white senkos. My Grandpa caught a 4.1 lb ish. I got tired o senkos andchanged to a red buzzbait. First cast brought in a 8.8 poundBass! I'm only 12 and the the biggest ish pulled in my Grandpa's new boat.
City: TracyTips: Try topwater early and plastics on outside o weed lines ater the topwater bite stops.

Water Temp: warm!
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Thurs evening very windy. 2-3'waves in rattlesnake arm @ 7:30. Cranked several rock piles to no avail. Headed or sheltered water. Broke one o on senko under dock. Found deep tulies in konocti bay and caught 3 ish to 2.5lbs on senkos beore dark. At dark, headed to deep point and ished only heavy line rod I had hooked up w/ 3/8 oz jig. Only had 2 bites by 10:15, but they were twins, 7.3 lbs each. Welled them and had a picture taken or evidence at konocti resort. Very slow ater that till 12:20 when I caught 4 in one spot--3 keepers and one 8"ish. These last 4 caught on 10" power worm. 9 ish total by 2:20. I came upon a boat at 2 am on one o my spots. They had thrown crankbaits all night and hooked 6-7, but only landed one.
City: Yuba CityTips: I expect warm nights will help bite. Daytime temp was in low 90's at most.
