Report: My partner and I ished the 28th annual Badge Packers Tournament on Saturday. With a little or rather a lot o luck we ended up winning it with over 32 pounds or six ish.The biggest was a bit over 13 pounds, and that wasn't the big ish or the tournament. Our next biggest was over 7 pounds and believe it or not, neither o the two came o a bed. The 13 came o a topwater irst thing in the morning and the 7+ on a senko adjacent to a brush pile with airly deep water nearby. We started out with a ew one pound plus ish, then got lucky with the 13 pounder in an area we had seen som really BIG ish in while pre-ishing the day beore. We did a little bit o everything rom top water, to carolina rigged 6" worms to split-shot worms to senkos, trying to improve our overall weight. We managed to improve things until our smallest was just under 3 pounds. My partner says, "A nice three or our pounder would really help out now". I told him,"Heck, i you're gonna wish.....then wish or a ive pounder". Well......not ive minutes later he boated the 7+. This was one o "those days" I'm sure we'll both remember or a long while. Our hats o to everyone who participated and hopeully had as good a time as we did. Thanks to those whose hard work helped to make the tournament a success.

Report: Wie, son, & I ished the 28th semi-annual Badge Packers out o Fleming Meadows. Fished coves in Middle Bay all day. Wie boated our 1st keeper at 7:30 am split shotting a 6" Green Craw curly tail worm in about 15'o water. Averaged about a ish an hour until about noon when the bite picked up & we started catching one every 1/2 hour. Gradual sloping banks w/some grass & wood in the area were the best areas or us. I your into bed ishing they are there but we chose not to. Ended the day w/just under 12 lbs. or seven ish. When we let heavy bag was around 30 lbs. & big ish was 13 lbs. Our ish came split shotting 4-6" plastics in green craw, june bug, or purple ghost. No takers on spinner baits & a couple o good ish, 5+, came unbuttoned on a deep diving shad pattern crank.
City: DelhiTips: Hope the tourney winners will post because we were out o the money.

Report: Fished the Western Bass tournament on Sun. Too many patterns to mention. Fish could be had drop shotting in 30 t. or caught o o beds in 3 t. I had a bad day on the water and cost us weighing in a limit, but we did manage 6 ish or 11+. Found the bed ish a little too late in the day. A crazy day overall. Our irst ish came out o 30 t o water and our last ish came o o a bed.
City: FresnoTips: You just can't ignore 2 weeks o good weather, a ull moon, and 60 degree water. Check that shallow water.

Report: American Bass Anglers club launched 6 boats rom the Don Pedro Marina, we rented two house boats or the night prior to the tournament which was a pleasant stay with excellent service. My Partner and I planned to ish the 49er area irst stop but ound plenty o boats there beore us, we ished a rocky point with wood close by and Gino stuck our irst ish which was 3.37 Pounds that ell or a darter head Yamamoto ( brown) hula grub. Ater ishing the area with no more bites we decided to run up the other arm to check out water alls I had ished in the past. The alls didnt give any ish so we trolled over to main lake secondary points.I stuck a 14" ish so we decided to stay and ish the area,we ound a bush that had ish stacked , the boat was above 30' o water and I splitshotted a 4" Robo worm through the bush- the ish would suck the worm in and as I elt added weight I would set the hook, the ish appeared to be in 12 -15 t o water. I stuck 3 more ish this way.We inished 1st place-Big Fish or 4 ish 8.26Lbs. 2nd Place weighed a limit or over 6 pounds and 3rd Place also weighed in the 6 pound range. The wind picked up in the late morning aternoon time.
City: MartinezTips: The wind made ishing alittle tough , I pointed the boat towards the wind to hold it paralell to the bank, added Fish attractant to my worms, the ish appeard to be stagingto go in and look or beds. Didnt get any reaction bites.Good Luck

Report: 6:45 am started at Jenkins Hill & ished to mouth o Graveyard Creek. Most o the irst hr. was w/a jerk bait & a Zara Spook w/no takers. Switched to split shot green weenies boating a 13" black at 7:40 am. 10 minutes later hooked another 13" w/same rig. Fish were about 5' o bank in 10' o water near allen trees. Fishless or next hour then had bass busting shad behind us so my son threw a suspending jerk bait, bleeding shad pattern, & a 2 lber. hit it on splash down. Fishless or another hour so headed to Willow Creek where my wie hooked a dink, split shot grn weenie, & our son woke us all up when he set the hook on a drag stripping 5 lber. that never suraced until it got to the boat. Unortunately it had whiskers & had inhaled a split shot leech pattern grn. weenie. Went back to where we started & the wie wormed up a 13 incher worming in 20' o water at the point o Jenkins Hill. No more takers so headed to Rogers Creek where we wormed, cranked, & spooned until 1 pm w/no success. Went back to ishing Jenkins to Graveyard Creek where we ished until 2:30. This time I put the boat in 20' o water & we spit shot worms on the deep water side o the boat which boated another 2.5 & a 14 incher. Our six keepers tipped the scales at 8 1/2 lbs..
City: DelhiTips: Tough bite but split shot worms then some type o top water where you ind shad chasing bass. Steeper rock w/wood banks w/better ish coming out o 25' to 35' depths.
