Report: Was going to the delta but came here due to the heavy winds and light rain this morning.....went up north fork out of the wind and tried steep walls. Small fish bust'n bait along the shore lines every now and then, tried top water but no luck, started fishing rock piles 20>35ft. across from the launch, got 4# for the day, all good 2.0>3.0lbs "SPOTS", fat fish from the bait, shak'n worms, the weather kinda killed the hot bite but it will come back in a day or so..GL

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got out early with the wind and threw my triple trout. Landed 2 10lbrs at rattlesnake bar. Went over to the dam and landed a 6lber on the same swimbait. Great day to be out fishing with this lovely overcast. Got bored of pulling in hawgs and tied on a roboworm. Slayed the little ones on my favorite under water island.

Tips: Get out on these weather changes. Great anglers look for these stuff.

    Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I went out for about 4 hours to check on the bite found tons of bait just graphing the creek channels leading into coves. I stayed with the spoon for most of the time and ended up with about 20 fish. Most of these fish were not keepers but it was a lot of fun just getting the bites. The bait fish are very small so I had to down size my spoon to get the bites. Cooler weather will be just what we need for this lake to go nuts.

Report: Everyone who reads these Folsom reports is laughing--unfortunately, at you. I understand you've been banned from WB before... it may be getting close to that time again.

This isn't the right way to get attention.

Tips: I know are a fair number of very good Folsom sticks who are not having days anywhere close to what you are reporting. Cut the BS, okay?

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Started out at first light and ran towards the damn. Fished main lake points with only one fish. Caught it on a small wakebait above 10 feet of water. I then decided to run up the North fork and try a few spots. Caught one fish near surmeged rocks in about ten feet of water, again on a reaction bait(lipless crank). I noticed a lot of bait suspended in 10 feet of water near the 40 foot level. Still a lot of boat traffic. Water level nearing the 400 foot level and the lake will then be 5mph. I tried swimbaits, wakebaits, spinnerbaits, worms both shaky head as well as dart head in MM and Sexy shad, 8inch grubs in watermelon but missed a few fish(i think they were small), I also threw lipless crank in red eye shad. I did not throw the jig and hindsite now I wished I would have at least tried. Fished in water from 10 feet out to 40 feet. Talked with a couple of gentlemen and tehy only had three fish with a couple of missed bites. Slow day again for me on this lake. I also saw the sheriff sitting in the middle of the south fork monitoring traffic and boat regulations I am sure. Probably due to the labor day weekend.

    Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Prelude finally comes true as thought by past experience on this lake. Five or six limits off one spot up to four pounds. One smallie, rest were nice spots. Plastics worked great. Bigger fish were feeding shallow, smaller ones later on a little deeper, 25 35 ft. A friend pulled up and fished along side of me and caught swiftly about five, then the wind kicked up and we left for sheltered areas.

Tips: They are there and fat, feeding on bait. Concentrate on windward areas that concentrate bait balls. Darts or jim's special .

    Water Temp: 83

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Richard, shore fishing at folsom can sometimes prove to be very tough at times. Because of all the boat traffic on this lake this time of year, the fish hold deep to structure and then about an hour before dark they surface and feed like crazy! Your best beat would be throw some kind of a senko VERY SLOW and really close to cover ex. tree's, rocks, or anykind of cover you can cast to from a pretty good distance away! In the morning or late late in the afternoon try a top water bait lucky craft sammy, zara spook, popper and try and find some active baitfish schools and your bound to hook-up!

Tips: If all else fails.. Grab you a 12 pack of coors light and catch yourself a good BUZZ!!! lol works for me everytime!!!

Report: I can give you a couple of leads on bluegill
On Folsom (depending on the water level) In the south fork where the lake makes the left turn are two structures. One is the cove that is loaded with trees, also loaded with Bluegill. In the North fork, run up river past rattlesnake to where the creek comes in and fish the rockbeds on the northside of the lake. Enjoy the time with your son, you will treasure it.
    City: Sac

Tips: USE live crickets on 4lb test with size 10-12 hooks. The trout are also in the area and you may catch the trout too.

Report: Last time on Folsom for bass I got skunked. A question please. Could anyone share where on Folsom (or any other body of water nearby) where I could get into some bluegill action with my son? It would sure be appreciated. He would be in hog heaven catching and throwing back little bluegill for an afternoon. Nothing like watching that bobber dance to get a 3 yr old excited. (I still do). Thank you for your time.

Report: Fished old salmon falls bridge this morning. Caught some nice blacks up to 4.5 lbs and a few keeper spots. Water was a little off color. Plastics on deadstick proved to be the ticket. Shad color worked best today. Started off at the 20-30 foot areas where I caught the smallies Staurday, but no takers, I checked on them twice to no avail.

Tips: Fish will change and you have to adapt.
