    Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: went out on Sunday from 7-12 noon. Had success right off the bat at first stop and had thoughts of a big day on Folsom. My buddy lost a huge fish on a drop shot, we never did see her but it must have been a huge spot by the way it worked him over, after a long battle it finally broke off the hook. It has been awhile since I have seen that on Folsom and that includes fish over 7lbs so it was a biggin. anyways, managed 6 fish total best five went 13 1/2 lbs with nice big healthy cold spots in the 2 1/2- 3 lb range. fished main body (52 deg) and tried many places but found the fish holding only on 1 location. Wanted to fish the South fork but it was at 47 degrees, wierd but must be cold from all of the snow melt???

Report: Another slow day. Fished South fork on Saturday and got one 2.5 spot on a C-rigged senko. The wind picked up and we headed in about noon. Tried everything but I think these cold nights are not letting the water warm up to really activate the fish.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished last wednesday from 7am to 2pm mostly in the main body a little in the north fork. I saw a lot of fish in the 20 foot range in main body flats. Only caught 7 fish but nice fats spots and 1 largemouth that went close to 4. All of my fish were caught in the flats in 19-22 feet of water and they were all on brown and purple jigs except 1 on a mm3 darthead.
    City: roseville

Tips: fishing in the main body with jigs and dartheads has been working for me. once i find fish in certain depths they seem to be in that deep almost anywere in the main body.

Report: Loyd, you are posting very good luck every time you go out on Folsom. Nice job! With so many striking out right now (me included), could you say WHERE you are catching fish up shallow? Main body, N S E or W shore, any clue appreciated! Thanks. (Loyd I sent you a PM a week ago but got no reply)

Webmaster, I KNOW this isn't a report but on behalf of the Folsom Winter Banana Team I'm hoping to get a hint here before my wife takes away my bassboat. Thx.

Report: Well fished from 12 pm to 6 pm with no luck. Like the below post, use a handfull of baits - rip, crank, hula grub, shakeyhead, dropshot, c rig only three bites. Man, usually I can catch at least a few if not a lot more. Only fished deeper than 25ft in one spot, many that was my problem. I was hoping to find some shallow fish.

I fished lower and mid sections of south fork and north fork. Tried points and creeks.

I did not see anyone catch fish either. Talked to a guy that said they did good - glad to hear someone got into them. But all in all it was a beautiful day on the water.
    City: Elk Grove

Tips: Only ramps open Granite & Brown's Ravine. Heard 5 MPH lifted, but it was not. They said for sure 5 MPH lifted tomorrow. You still got to swing way wide while going around Peninsula.

As far as fishing tips, don't ask me I sure could not find them.

Report: Well, I suck. Fish are being caught in the main body and north fork but not by me. Tim Merritt, you are my idol. This guy picked up 9 fish today with a nice #3 spot to go along with the standard Folsom bass. I had a few bites, like trout on the drop shot rig and a few jig bites that couldnt get hooked.

    Tips: Ask Merritt.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Just a note to let all of you know that the water level continues to rise and is now at the 396 ft level. That still leaves the lake down 50m feet. They want to be at the 400 ft level by the end of Feb and it looks like that's where they will be. Warm weather can only make the fishing better. Good luck and take a kid fishin.
