Water Temp: 51
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: went out last sunday from 7-10 caught 5 fish biggest was 4 plus all nice fat spots other 4 around 3 pounds. throwing jigs in main body flats 20-30 feet. Went out on wednesday from 8-2 caught 9 fish biggest just over 3 most in the 2 and a half range same thing as before main bady flats this time all fish in the 20 foot range. Tried north fork rattlesnake and back to main body no hits. Most of the fish had little color almost white I think they have just started coming up from deep.
City: rosevilleTips: brown and purple brown and cinnamon jigs in the main body flats seem to work for me. Cast them and work em or drag them. fish seem to be slowley moving shallower.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Yes the tempature veried all over the Lake. The South Fork was the coldest and the main body and over to dike 8 and around was in the 54 degs. Tom Erickson and I got a smallie in 25-30 ft with a Brown/Purple Capt Jack's Jig. Just drag it around the small rocks and dirt. This time of the year look the warmest water and work out. No bites on worms, leaches or ? Lake is still coming up slow.
City: RocklinTips: work it slow and go down deep.

Water Temp: 47-48
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Pretty much same for me as the 2 previous posts. From 10am to 4pm fished all over main body using plastics (dropshotting and texas), jigs, and smaller swimbaits. No bites. Marked several stacks of fish deep at 60-70' on steep dropoffs off western shore but jigs didn't work. With the temp at the mouth of north fork at 46 I didn't try there.
City: Penryn, CATips: Maybe better when weather changes in few days.

Water Temp: 47-50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: As I read the previous post, I though to myself....did I already post a report? Almost an identical day. Fished main body including damn and peninsula with nothing in the well. Spent 10am-2pm on the water. One bite on a spinnerbait...could have been bottom/tree stump. Tried spinners, chatters, jerks, jigs, drop shots and swimbaits. Nada. Didn't meter much fish either which leads me to believe they are still hanging out in deeper water and waiting to move shallow. Water temp reached 51 at one point but no fish around.
City: RocklinTips: None here.

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished on Saturday for 3 1/2 hrs from 12:30-4:00. Nothing, it has been awhile since I said that one. Not one bit today. fished main body near Mormon island/dyke 8 area(48-50degree) and pennesula(51-52degree), fished everywhere from 2ft-30ft. hit humps, island tops, brush piles, points. I tried too hard to get a reaction bit with the jerk bait LC ghost and shad colors. Senko, Swimbait, crankbait a no go. Even tried dragging a 1/2oz jig around too. I did not try drop shot or dart head. Looks like you need to stick with the dart head and drop shot until it gets warmer. I did not mark that many fish at all. Tells me they are stacked up when you find them. Kinda scary.

Water Temp: 47-49
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: the lake is coming up a foot a day, with more rain coming this week the lake should get more water.
Some of my friends went out for the first day of 2008 and did ok with crankin, swimbaits, Jigs and worms.
Stayed in the main body in 15-25 ft of water and draging slow. Some bass were found in the South and North fork.
Jigs in Brown/Purple or Back/Purple with a double tail grub is the ticket.
Check out my website captjacksfishingjigs.com

Water Temp: 46
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished for a few hours, nothing but trout chasing drop-shot worms to the surface when reeling in. Hit a rock pile with the prop on the way in. Lake is getting dangerously low and contrary to the previous post, is not gaining 1ft of water a day. Check http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/queryDaily?s=FOL for daily lake levels.
Needless to say, we're done with Folsom until Spring runoff fills the puddle.
City: CarmichaelTips: Don't launch at Folsom until water levels come up again.
