    Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I went to Folsom primarily to mark low water spots. This was my first trip this fall/winter. Wow, I knew the water was low, but to see it was something else. The temp break was about 1/2 up north fork and at New York Ravine in the south fork! Yes the south fork was flowing like a river just above New York Ravine. What a trip. Anyway, was only looking for bait to spoon or dropshot. Only found one good pod of bait fish. I did not see any fish around it, but spooned and dropshotted it with no luck. Also went over to Mormon Island to see the old house foundations. I found them and I was disappointed. There was not a whole lot to see. I'm going to wait until we get some water and fish the spring!

    Water Temp: 54 Degrees

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Granite Bay at Noon(by the way it's the only ramp that is still open) lake water level down to 370 feet air temp at 54 Degrees and I was told that the lake hasn't been this low in 2 decades. Started by fishing in 100 feet depth and slowly moved hoping that the fish would tell me at what depth their sitting in. Found a lot of bait in 80+ water but No action. Only had one hook up in 13 feet of water on my 6 inch swimbait. This spot was 4lbs 6oz and was huge. My very first swimbait fish came at 3:30pm. What a fight she put up!! Chris email me so that we can start sharing ideas. There were about 8 other boats on the water and talked with a couple of boaters pretty much had the same luck I had. I don't know why there are not more posts because there sure are plenty of boats on the water.

Tips: Just get out and enjoy the water.....Tight Lines

Report: I fished main lake areas using jigs managed around 15 for the day with the largest a largeie 3.4 on a swimbait. A couple of my friends where fishing just to the left of me and picked up a 7.3 largie on a swimbait. They were primarily using drop shot and jigs and I am sure they had close to 20 or better for the day.

    Water Temp: 63

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: On the water at 9:20am Saturday. Drop shotted the main body but I think a lot of the metered fish are trout. Lot's of little bites on our drop shots but nothing that resembled bass. Hit the shore line and got one fish, 1-2# range, on a chartruse chatterbait about 10 feet from a rocky shore in the main body. We fished the damn and farmed one at the boat on a white chatterbait. Other than that, a pretty slow day. Beautiful weather, sunny and 60 deg with very little wind.
    City: Rocklin

    Tips: Bring trout gear.

Report: I drive by Brown's Ravine every day on my way to work. Last couple days the "Ramp Closed" sign has been out front. Hoping it's just temporary as this was the last open ramp on the lake. What a sad state the lake is in right now.

    Water Temp: 60-61

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Browns Revine which just happens to be the only ramp facility that is still in the water. Slight bress out of the NW decided to motor down the south fork at 5mph which is the posted speed limit for the entire lake. Water level down 80-90 feet and falling. It is sad to see folsom with such low water levels. Fishing has changed on the lake with current conditions and the fish are stacked up in 25-30 feet. Partner and I only fished for 4 hours with no bites. That's a first for me, usually I can at least get a few rats. About 10 boats on the water and all fishing the South Fork.
    City: EDH

Tips: Get out and Fish if you can because I feel that this is going to be a very dry winter and the lake is difficult to fish at it's current water levels. So get out and re-learn the lake. Good luck-And keep posting..

Report: out for the afternoon, started at 2:30, hit the island tops first fish a 2.5# on a hula grub, missed a smaller one on dropshot, move to some tops that are out of the water and started throwing a Vixen, got a short strike, followed with the grub and nailed a 3# repeat the cast and got another about the same weight. Got dark fast so the wifey and I called it a day.
The lake is turning, big fish are becoming active, moving shallow, chasing smelt.

Tips: Be patient. find the baitballs and you will find the fish. Go on top fpr agressive fish, go under the bait to get the shy ones.
