Report: Well Kev and I hit the water at about 7:30am, and the weather was just terrible. We tried to head up the South ork. Hit New York and Sweetwater Creeks and we got nothing . The wind was so bad we couldn't ish slow enough. Even throwing a spinnerbait. I did manage a nice 2lb on a plastic worm but that was it. I did smack Kevin in the ace with a tube bait, so I almost caught a big one. But or real. That could o seriously hurt him. So a word to the wise. Keep track o where everyone is in the boat and be careul not to hit anyone. I thank God that he didn't geet hooked. He would o been a hell o a ight, but it would o sucked. So to all, be careul, and good luck on the water. Look or us catchermen on the water. Say hi and compare stories. God bless.
City: RosevilleTips: Nothing worked. I the weather is good then I would go with tube baits in june bug or in brown or black. Jigs and worms, ished slow and in the 10-15t range. Maybe you guys can let me know whats biting

Report: I agree with moniker. The bite is pretty tough. I ished tues. and wed. last week and did all right in the morning at least until the wind started to push 30 mph. I was o the water by 1:30 each day. I went out this Wednesday and I got one about 3lbs on a spinnerbait and that was it. I talked to a couple guys and they hadn't had much luck either. I also looked shallow and saw no activity going on. A couple o weeks o 75 degree weather would be sweet. Good Luck.

Report: We started around 8:30 in the granite bay area. The wind was blowing pretty good, so I had to keep moving to ish. I got a ew ish rippin, and my partner got one on a jig. I got tired o gettin blown all over, so we went in a somewhat protected cove. Nothing going on the way in, but in the back I got a bit and broken o twice. We decided to go back to the main lake. The wind died down, so I started dragging secondary and main lake points. It paid o. I caught 3 ish on almost each point I ished. The bite was aggressive and the ish put up a good ight. All in all a great day. good luck.
Tips: All the ish were caught in less than 15 eet. No big ones, but alot o quality ish in the 1.5-2.5lb range.

Report: Wow, A nice day on the lake until around 11:00. Ya woulda thought it was July, the jetskis and water olks came out in droves!!The bite was slow irst thing in the morning, ripped and cranked or about 1 1/2 hours had one nice ish on the crank that came o at the boat. Went searching and about 8:15 the wind let up out to the main body I go. Went through 12 keppers some in the 2 to 2 1/2 lb range rom 8:45 till 11:30. Had to change up my normal plastic color though. I usually onlt throw morning dawn at two times:1) when the bite is real tough or2) post spawn them Folsom ish eat it then.Saturday it was the color o choice all the better ish came on it. Here's the kicker!! Some o these Fat spots tails were starting to get beat up, could it be? the start o the spawn.
City: SacramentoTips: Can't give a seasonal tip, my normal stu did not work, went to a back up plan and had a un ish catching morning.BFL at the end o the month should spell some big sacks i the weather continues it's trend.

Report: We ished rom sun up till sun down the day beore at berryessa, so we decided to check out the bite olsom or a couple o hours the next day. We started around 4:00 and ished until 6:00. I checked an area rom the week beore in the south that usually loads up with ish when it warms up and the water is up. I only got two spots in about 45 min., so we decided to try closer to the launch. Two boats were on the areas I wanted to ish, so I tried an area close, but normally is better in april or may. My girl and I get a double hook up (kind o) her ish was a nice smallie. Mine was a dink, the rip bait I was using was bigger. I only had about 30 min. beore the sun was going to disappear, so I decided to start cranking. I got 5 ish in that 30 min. all o them 1-1.5lbs except 1 that was 2lb. That ish started pulling drag a couple o times. I thought it was alot bigger, but it sure was un to catch. Good luck!
City: Eldorado HillsTips: Two o the ish were caught dragging worms. The others except or one were caught on a crankbait. I it stays warm the ish should explode or awhile. You know until mother nature realizes it never really rained or snowed, and decides to pound us. Good luck!!

Swimbait caught 4 keepers in the north on darterheads. He said the south was cold and muddy and ull o debris. Not unexpected- the lake is rising hal a oot per day.
City: El Dorado HillsTips: A warming trend could turn on an early pre-spawn bite.

Report: Hello again. My buddy Chris and I headed out a little late. We got on the water around 9:30 am. We started out on the penisula. The wind was a little strong, so we worked Beale's point. Nothing. It wasn't until the wind died down that we caught ish. We eventually went back to the penisula when the wind died, and there we roped some nice ish. Working the rock pile and the shoreline. I caught 3 nice ish. 2 spots and a 2.5 lb smallie. I love those smallies. Chris hooked into a couple o nice spots also. The ish seemed to be a little more aggressive as the weather gets a little warmer. This may be the year or a BIG ONE. Lets hope. I'll see ya out on the water. Look or team Rope a Dope.lol. Good catchin.
City: RosevilleTips: Chris used split shot worm, and I caught all mine on a split shot tube(browns and black leck). Slow rollin and hoppin it every now and again. Check lines or kinks, I lost a nice one due to that act.

Water Temp: 47'C to 53'C
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: My buddy Chris and I headed out on the water at about 7:00 am. The sky was clear blue and a little brisk. We decided to start at the north side o the peninsula. With the trolling motor the still on the schnide, we had to limit our pick up and move to another spot tactic. We ished or a 1/2 hr or so and moved to Beales Point, thats where we had to re-rig the trolling motor.(nice huh). From there we worked the wall just north o Beales Point. NOTHING. We threw everything under the sun. We inally regrouped and decided to try a little urther up the peninsula to the north. Thats where we caught all our ish. We only caught 4 but they were all 2 1/2lbs.+. I caught a nice smallie o a rock pile in about 12 t o water, that seemed to be the magic number.12 t, on a gitzit tube, and the spots were hittin the same color worm (Motor oil). All ish were caught on plastics. Couldn't ask or better weather and the water temp is on the rise. So not the greatest day, but it beats workin. See ya out on the water. I want to shout out a hello to my Dad. Capt. Bitteroot. Thanx or gettin me started.
City: RosevilleTips: Brown/motor oil jigs ,worms or tubes seemed to work or us. 12 t o water and slow across rock piles. Look or warmer water 50'C and above. Good luck and be sae.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Tough day- started optomistically with a 4lb largemouth on the third cast. It struck a Ledgebuster I picked up at the Dallas BPS. Started at the entrance to the south. Only ish o the day. Fished up the south, then out on the main lake. Fished jigs, ripbaits, grubs, Senko, and all types o shotting between 4 and 40t. Even my powershotting ailed to deliver. Powershotting my term or splitshotting with a large sinker and dragging ast. Started doing it successully by accident when I went out with my tournament partner Wildman on Christmas eve. I was determined to ish deep and stay in contact with the bottom. The ish were shallow that day however, and I was catching them dispite using a #2 splitshot sinker. A #2 must weigh 3/8oz. You deinitely stay in contact with the bottom. I've used the technique with some success at Oroville also, but it's still splitshotting, and it catches smaller ish. Was going out with Swimbait, but he called in sick. My guess is hypothermia- too many days standing in the American whacking lots o big Steelhead. He's becoming a legend down there. Or maybe he's nausiated by the Rams perormance yesterday. Don't dispair dog, the're better than the Niners.
City: El Dorado HillsTips: I didn't go looking or bait. Might be the answer on a day like this.

Report: Would anyone be interested in a trade? I'm on to a school o 10" Spots and would gladly give up it's location or (1) 2lb. ish. 11a.m.-4p.m. North. 10'-15'o water. 1/2 oz. brown jigs.
City: AuburnTips: Tried something dierent. On clay/mud banks I set up shallow and cast deep. Banged the jig into all those old waterline ledges and ished way aster than should be reasonable given the temperature. No doubt about every hit. Unorthodox, yes. But i you're gonna reeze you might as well be catching ish.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: got on the water at about 1:30. tried blades and cranks but couldn't get any takers so went with old reliable. Brown jig in 20-30'. got 2 ish. then went looking or bait to reine my dropshotting skills(need serious reining). Finally, inding a ball o bait with some scattered bait ish around, I dropped my 4" dropshot bait down 30' and low and behold I caught 3 ish. These were my 1st ish on a spinning rod dropshot combo. I like the inesse dropshot. Next up oroville. I'll tell you how it goes.
City: auburnTips: yodo dropshot bait with twin tail. It looks great in the water. also, whats new Jig and pig.(brn/brn)
