Water Temp: 73-75 degrees
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Had a local club tourny out o granite bay. Topwater bite was antastic or about the irst 20 minutes or so, then died hard. Poppers on rocky points and walls back in the south ork.My partner and I each had our ish by 8:00, mostly 14-15 inch spots, and one 2.5 lb. largemouth. When that died, we rounded out the limit with 6inch green ghost worms and leaches. Late in the day we ound the willows in granite bay to be holding good numbers o largemouth, with some in the 4-6 lb. class. Very exciting when you can ind those ish on Folsom. Buddy lost one about 6 lb. in the tree. Turns out the tourny was won back in the south ork, mostly just inside the 5 mile zone and in jack's shack. guess where? In the willows!! this may all change very ast, but it's worth a try on your next trip out. 12.5 lbs. took the check home, not earth shattering but nonetheless a solid limit on Folsom considering a ew boats came in with a strong smell o skunk!
City: sacramentoTips: poppers early on rocky banks, then shakin' and draggin the same areas. when the sun gets high, switch to smaller baits and work 20-35 eet slooooowly! don't orget to try the willows,though----- i they're stacked in there, you're in or a rare Folsom bass est!

Water Temp: 71-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Water clarity varied hit the later part o the day.Fished rom 3pm on. How's this I took my date bass ishing so I wasn't so seriuos drank a 12'er. Pissed o all the h20 skiers cut every one o them o it was great. Report I ound a spot on the South ork that I split shotted down to 38t they were stacked we were both able to pop 1-2lb ish while the h2o people were cruising by. I used that B.P.S lourocarbon line (there house brand?) it made a dierence cause I had her hooked up with the same bait and test line 4lb (trilene low vis). She knew something was up so we switched rods and she started to bang them like I was. We scented the baits and just dead stuck ish using the green weenie and salt and pepper w/o chartruse tail! Motored up to the point that seperates the 2 orks and ran a popper and a smaller spook and took more ish this type o ishing got her going cause it was about 9pm and I was done and she keep throwing the popper and catching all sizes.
City: Granite BayTips: Right now i you can get a windy point the ish will be there but they aint big or ind a muddy water bank and crank or blade.I threw worms in the middle o the day to kill time till the top water bite would hit. Every ish is spitting up small ry right now key in on those turbulent banks they are pushing the bait there. That or throw a spoon and locate your bait balls these are the keys now

Water Temp: 70-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Some spots are not so clear mud brown. I hit the lake in search o just a top water bite.I ished till 945pm launched at 5pm. Being that there is a ull moon thought this might just be a big monster bass night? Started o by running a popper and pow got a monster 12lb I mean 12" bass whoa har. I managed to bang a ew more up to 1.5lb. Threw the spook at main points and got a little better result nothing smaller than a 1lb not too bad or this time o the h2o skiing yr. It took alot and do mean alot o covering water to get them to hit. I tried the trees but nothing and the rock is what seem to be the ticket. Every bass that was caught puked up lots o small ishes they were white and all over my boat. Tried my riend the rip bait no dice they just didn't come around. Tried a double buzzer about 8pm on no go not even a jump went back to the popper worked it with a pause and got a ew more.
City: Granite BayTips: I must say that any patterns that I have put together dont hold the bass are suspending due to the draw down and only dinks in the trees and up shallow. Fished last Sat early morning spook was on then shut down that next day go inger

Report: threw a rip bait at the trees wieghted with the suspend stips 3 o them on a rapla 6" bait black/silver and clown ished the later part o the evening helping a bud set up his boat. best ish came o the deep rock walls o the south ork main channel tried top water popper and a spook in jacks shack and the 5mph zone o the south no dice. put it away my bud drug a worm with less luck he got one that push me to bring out the will e go board short haaa haaa. caught a lot o smallies and smaller ish musta hooked 10 o them small guys but I was able to get 2 good ish in the 1.5 to 2 range okay or just a 2 hour ski
City: GraniteBayTips: I your going to throw the rip bait locate the ish o o the long rock walls that are next to the point o it and parelle it and throw no urther away rom the bank than 10 eet they are there waiting wanting the rip dont be suprised to know that I wont leave that spot till I've thrown atleast 35 or more times changing the retieve. As or ripping the trees use a tu line like 15lb to 20lb and skip it past the tree and rip it to the tree and let it die thats what the 3 strips are or they will smash it on either the skip or the all

Water Temp: 80
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Folsom is a inicky lake. You can go out and catch 20 ish with your top 5 being 15-16lbs. on one day and the next (with no visible condition change) go out and barely ind catchable ish. This lake will test your ishing skills. You cannot be stubborn. I the ish aren't biting what your throwing them you have to move and change until they do. I you cann't get bit in the trees go to the rocks. I white doesn't work switch to dark. I cranks don't work try plastics. Never settle or "they're just not biting today" because I guarantee you somewhere they are.
City: RosevilleTips: Right now - Topwater, Pig & Jig, Blades - Find clear water (South is dirty right now) 20 t and up around rocks and scrub brush. I the bite is tough work slow, try dead sticking, or burn or a reaction bite.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I ished rom my tube out o Rattlesnake Bar. Began ishing right next to the launch ramp in the stained water.Lots o boat traic. I caught our ish in about 1.5 hours.I couldn't beleive my last two ish. One was 5# and the other was 4#. I caught them on a spinnerbait as it dropped on the shady side o a submerged bush. They were about 8eet deep. The our pounder had red on it like it was still in spawning mode. I am not used to catching such big ishout o Folsom. Try getting your lure/bait right down to the base o the submerged cover. Keep your line just tight enough to eel the tick.
City: SacramentoTips: I started using magic worms and caught magically small ish. When I switched to a larger presentation, I caught the bigones.

Water Temp: 73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Toad and I slipped out or a couple hours beore the Father's Day activities. (Best part o the day or me!!) We ound ish on jigs, cranks, rip baits and top water (right at the launch site). Best ish was around 4# and came on a Risto Rap worked over an island top with submerged willows. Also caught several chunky largemouth 2 1/2 to 3 1/2# largemouth on jigs....both black and brown jigs worked. Rip ish were small spots (VERY small!) Top water produced one small ish early then was unproductive.
City: Fair OaksTips: We were o the water beore 10:00 and the skidiots and water leas were already starting to wait in line up to launch by then. So, the tip is obvious....get out early and get o early.

Report: Spent about two and a hal hours on Folsom this evening with good results. Fished the North Fork just nother o the Narrows in 6 to 12 eet. Picked up several splitshotting FIT Green Wenkies. Best was 4.5#. The lake is at ull pool and it's like ishing a new body o water. All my normal spots or this time o year are in 25 to 50 eet o water.
City: Granite BayTips: I highhly recommend getting and using FIT Green Wenkies on a splitshot rig or with a darthead.Fishing Reports or Folsom Lake

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went to Folsom or a relaxing evening o bass ishing. Caught l2 ish total on plastics 20 t deep. But relaxing it wasn't...Can't we do something to split the lake between ishers and skiers. ie, South Arm or one North or the other. A good example o this is Lake Castaic in So. Cali. Fisherman could ish ski area but skiers cannot ski in ishing area. Just a suggestion because it is a zoo outthere.
City: Cameron ParkTips: Fish plastics 20 t deep around willows and don't let the skiers get you.

Water Temp: 70
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Decided to take a day o mid-week to wet the lines with buddies Ray and Dave. Stopped at Tackle Pro and picked up 4 dozen minnows as Dave and Ray wanted to use the live stu (hey, can't beat the presentation!). The water level is our eet rom maximum pool. The new launch ramp at Granite Bay is open and sure helps with the traic. Hit the water at8:30am and headed over to the peninsula. Ray and David threw out the minnows and I started searching with a Rat-L-Trap (red craw). No hits on the minnows but I hooked up a 3/4 lb largemouth. Ater an hour o nothing we moved to Beals and started hooking up immediately. Pulled out 7 ish to 1.5 lb. Shaking a 3" green-craw reaper over submerged trees got most o 'em. Lot o smallies. Ater it died down went over to Jacks Shack and hooked into ten more, mostly largemouths, with a couple spots. Split shotting (4" magic worms)and shaking worked the best; colors were green-craw, oxy-craw, green weenie. All in all, a pretty good day.
City: Granite BayTips: Water is clear so smaller lures in natural colors (browns, greens, etc.) tend to get more hits. Also, ishing belowthe light penetration depth (about 12 eet) increases chances o hook-ups.
