Water Temp: 57-60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: We ished the main body near dike 8. Fished a reaction bite and spanked them. Most o the ish were cookie cutter sizes 1.5-2.5. We caught about 18 o them o the rip rap and near the launch. The traic was moderate, and the reaction died about 10am. We had lunch came back about 2pm ater adjusting the motor and went back. We got some on blades, the wind however was very strong think this keyed them on or this bite later. We were able to at will catch them o the same areas with just about anything. We hit up the North ork ater we got tired o the big waves wetting us down. We hit the cove near the Granite Bay launch and ripped the submerged trees with clown and got 4 nice ish. Used a Mark Sosin 6in clown. This big bait was out producing the 4in rip bait? Our biggest bass caught by my buddy weighed in at 3.11lb nice smallie. Caught two more that were close to that size. Wasn't able to ind any large mouth all ish were either spots or smallies?
City: GraniteBayTips: Believe that the the early bite was due to the cloud cover. When the sun came out ished shut down on this bite. The bite in the evening was sparked by some great waves kicking up the ood. Try the rip rap they maybe loading up or the spawn? First ull moon o March I am told starts the hatch o crawdads. Gotta stay big to catch there attention away rom the good crawdads? It worked atleast this day

Report: Found a terriic split-shot bite in the North Fork. Bite started at 11:45 and lasted until about 3:00. Probably could have caught more, but got tired o ighting the wind. Partner and I caught between 25-30 ish during that time. Oxblood 4.5" weines ished in 2-13 eet was the hot ticket, but color was not be much o a actor since we caught them on eight dierent colors o that same rocky point. The ish were mostly spots running 1.5 lbs, a couple o 2 lb smallmouth and one 3 lb. largemouth. The big suprise was the 5.5 lb spotted bass I caught on the last cast o the day.
City: Elk GroveTips: Main river rocky points that drop o into deep water. Did not catch any ish rom the nearby willows. Best bite came in the aternoon, ater the sun had warmed the rocks.

Report: Brandon Youngblood and I ish the West Coast tean event here on Saturday. We had our limit in 30 minutes ripping a Staycee Lucky Crat Minnow in the main body. Most ish are small however, so it took all day culling to get 12 pounds. The trick was to let your rip bait sit still or 3 to 5 seconds between rips. The tournament was won with iteen pounds. We needed just one big ish but didn't get it... We did have un a lot o un catching 20+ rip ish however... The rip bite will continue in the stormy weather we've been having. Next Tournament on the lake will be NewBass on March 12th. I guess we'll give that a try...
City: SacramentoTips: Let your Rip bait sit still or 3 to 5 seconds.

Report: I ished a Gold Country Bassers tournament Sat. and I came in 5th and Rodney Scott my partner came in 4th. I stayed up the South Fork all day I got two keewpers on a 1/2oz. willowlea spinner bait one blade chartreuse and the other white and caught 2 keepers. Rodney threw a rip bait and got one ish on a clown roauge. I moved arther back in the South Fork and we ished an area with a lat and a rock wall but just ished the rock wall that was 12 t. I kept the boat in 10-6t o water and we pulled 11 keepers o o it but no big ish. The big ish o the tournament was a 5.67lbs caught on a peach ace ristorap. We were the only boat to bring in two limits and also got best combined boat weight.
City: Marysville, CaTips: Our worms were 4" moorning dawn but, the bites came quicker when you bit it down to 3". Rodney used a blueghost and we both caught the same amount o keepers. Work the worm slow 1/8th oz. darter head and sharpen the hooks beore you put them in your tackle box and it saves you time and you know all o your hooks have been sharpened. Bounce crankbaits o o rocks.
