Water Temp: 61
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: LBC was re-opened on Friday 3/4/05 after water level had been dropped due to flood control. The rangers told me the water level was in the boat ramp parking lot to the top of the ramp. On Saturday 3/5/05 the park was closed at 5pm due to flood control. With the water depth changes the fish have moved back deep, water was muddy, we (my wife & I) did manage to land 3 nice fish.
City: Bakersfield, CaTips: Until the water level becomes stable and clears up fish deeper water, with slow retrive. Fish should be moving into beds, but they are in 20'.

Water Temp: 51-53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well it doesn't get any more peacfull out there than it was for myself and 1 guest today at Los Banos. And we caught fish so it was a good day. Fish were from 15-25 on breaks and points. They wanted a hard bottom. They weren't related to the bait as much as I thought they would have been. Kinda lazy lathergic bites but we did manage a couple of good fish with one around 4 being the best. The lake is in good shape and only down about 3-4ft. kinda odd when all the other lakes are so low this time of year.
City: San JoseTips: Drop shot, darthead and jigs caught fish. Slow presentation was important than color & Darthead 6" worms caught the best fish by far.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: This lake is tricky - some days are great, others are tough. This was a not so easy trip. 5 of us caught 8 fish in float tubes between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Largest was 2 1/4 - pound Largie.
We tossed Rattle Traps, Top Water, Jigs and 4 to 6 inch worms. Best results were working the worms slowly in the shallows. Many fish holding 15 to 25 feet deep in about 30 feet of water, but they weren't biting. the bite was 10 feet or less from shore. Wind was howling and made it tough. Forced us to fish in close to shore between boat ramp and dam.
City: SacramentoTips: If you can, avoid the windy days here. Fish seem to want the slow moving presentations right now and the bites are very subtle.

Water Temp: 62
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Week-day bass club outing, we lauched at day break and headed toward day. We were pitching brown jigs. Partner yells ish-on and i start to reel in to grab the net and my rod loads up. He loses nice one and i put 2.5lb black in boat. We move another twenty yards and he swings on a 3.5 and that goes in live well. He has two more come unbuttoned at the boat so i start throwing a chrome speed trap a put two more keepers in the boat. Bite was slow but somewhat consistant. Winning weight was ive or 14.98 and second was ive or almost 9lbs.
City: HilmarTips: Early morning jigs on any type o rocks or structure changes. As sun comes up blades and cranks in chrome or shad patterns. Fish will move deeper as soon as the sun hits the water so drag a worm or drop-shot and ish slow, slow, slow.
