Report: Started by dam at 6 am w/crawdad crank. Hooked then lost a 4+ then boated an 11" dink. Switched to Pop R & had a 3+ inhale it beore the ripples settled ater the cast. Ater 3 drag pulling runs it spit the bait. Moved to the weed beds just west o the day camp & tried buzz bait, senkos, & worms w/no takers or the next hour. Cleared the weeds & started splt shotting 4" curly tail watermelon w/red lake worms along the rocky, steeper sloping banks just beore the blus. Hooked a 3+, 2.5, a 2, & several dinks. Curly tail motoroil w/red lake also worked but they wouldn't touch a 6" witch's T w/chartruese tail. Worked our way back along the south side rocky banks & wormed up several more dinks & one 14 incher. Out o the water by 11 am.

Report: Slow day missed some strikes on the back o the lake mid day. Evevning top water action was ok. Landed and released three 12-15 inchers. Hey Rob instead o complaining about your bank ishing buddies in your report you should have let the ranger know what was going on. Reporting poachers is the only way we have to ight back against these people. Getting ined or poaching has stopped several people rom a lie time o poaching. It is very diicult however to catch these people in action. Next time call the Ranger we will all be very grateul.

Report: First ishing trip or 3 yr. grandson & our 6 yr. old granddaughter. Started at 7:30 am with top water but didn't hook one until I switched to spinner bait. Grandson got his thrill w/a 15" bass tugging the rod as we reeled it in. Got this one in the weeds just past the day camp area. Weeds have really grown in. Let the kids drive the boat a while then ished the tule/weeds across rom the creek mouth. Hooked two more on a Cultiva shad pattern jerk bait but they got o beore our granddaughter good reel them in. Finally hooked a 15" bass on a 6" green weenie & she boated it. Wind really kicked up & we along w/the other boaters got o the water at 10:30.
    City: Delhi

Tips: With the weed growth a Senko in the weed pockets should work. Tried it a short time w/a couple o strikes but to slow a pace or the grand kids. Top water/spinner bait earlier than our starting time is another possibilty.

Headed to the upper end & ished the tules on the north side w/no luck. Moved back down to the south side tules across rom the creek mouth & could see the bass cruising in about 5' to 8'. Slowly worked a split shot 7" curly tail smoke colored worm & boated a 5 lber. My wie boated a 13" split shotting a 4" grn weenie then I boated 2 more keepers & a dink w/a jerk bait. Caught one 3 lber in a cove in the creek. Let at 11 am. 5 & 3 lber still hadn't spawned.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started ishing at 7 am & caught the 1st ish at 7:15, 4 1/2 lb bass. Was the biggest or the day & caught it on a Crazy Shad twin prop. bait. Had a couple o blow-ups on it ater that & the wie missed a couple on a Rapala skitter pop in shad pattern. switched to crawdad pattern 4" worms & was culling by 8:15 am. My wie was having one o those days where nothing went right. The bites were either a light tick, tick & she'd set to late or the line would slowly move o & by the time she noticed the ish would have her wrapped around tules or stickups. I didn't want to burn up all my avorite worms so I switched to a Gambler bacon rind, its like a brush hog, in watermelon w/red lake. These would last about 2 or 3 ish beore I had to put a resh one on. Wind picked up & we let by 11 am. best 5 went about 15 lbs. Fish have moved up shallow, 2 to 7'.
    City: Delhi

Tips: Top water until 7:30 then your avorite dark craw pattern plastic. Bite is subtle & work your worm slowly through tule/stickup pockets.

    Water Temp: 63.4

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I couldn't believe the water temperature! Every other lake I've been to lately is in the mid 50's. About hal way upthe lake I started ishing and on the third cast with a Pradcominnow jerk bait, nailed a nice 16" 2.3lber. Landed 3 othersmaller ish with jerk baits during the day. Up at the top o the lake I worked a green weenie 6" worm in the tules or twoin the 14" size (about 1.5 1.8 lbs). Then I tried a june bugbrush hog and got two more 1.5 to 2 lbs rom the tules. Missedthree others. I kept setting the hook but they'ed shake loosewhen the line and ish got hung up in the tules. They werereally tight in the tules in 2 - 3 t o water. Ended uplanding two more beore calling it quits at 1pm with a spinnerbait (again only 1lb'ers). Not bad though or the irst timeon the lake this year. Could see lot's o ish in the shallowssunning themselves, but couldn't get any action on those ish.Only ish tight to cover were aggressive. Interesting day sinceno one pattern was working hot, but caught ish on several typeso deliveries.
    City: Cupertino

Tips: Brush hogs in the tules. Fish it where you don't think you can get the bait too much less get the ish out i you hook one. Once it's through the tules and drops to the bottom, lit the rod tip and eel or a ish with it in the mouth.

    City: Dos Palos

Tips: Dark baits, green or rainbow power bait . Jigs do not work, best lure is small minnows with rattle, the ish go crazy or salamanders. Cats are taking chicken liver and crawdads. Go to canal in dos palos Tie a piece o bacon at at the end o your line or crawdads. Good spot to ish now is at the river in dos palos, best way to get there is on valeria.
