Report: I like ishing Turlock lake the best. The lake recieves almost no bass ishing pressure and the ish pull harder than any bass around including Delta bass. When I was ishing out o my 12' aluminum boat we had a 2 1/2 pounder pull the boat. Woodward isn't worth ishing right now because o all the boaters but early and late in the year the lake is very good. The Stanislaus river is un to loat down or stripers. The Toulumne River used to be excellent or bass and stripers above Waterord. I you ever plan on going to one o these places e-mail me and I will let you know what I know.

Report: I go near the end o the creek..casting weightless lukes(white or white and a dark color with some "kickin' Bass" Garlic stu..That sh*t stinks!!), ishing it like a jerk bait in the stickups and in shady overhangs. I make my hooks bareless because the bass swallow the bait beore I know it and get hooked deep. best time is like all bass..sring into early summer beore it gets too hot. My bite has been ending around 11am , picking back up at 6ish.There are not any stripers in the creek reservoir, only San Luis and the orebay..to the best o my knowledge

    Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched the boat around 10:30 because I went to O'neil irst to try and catch a striper (Nothing going on at O'neil).I ished until around 3:00 with no ish to show. I have come to the conclusion that this lake is too damm tu and a person would be better o going to any other lake to ish.Just read the reports on this lake or the past two years and it seems the only time to ish the lake is pre spawn. The rest o the time its hit and miss and i you do hit it right a couple guys may only catch 5-10 ish the whole day. That is lousy ishing in my book. The only time I will go back there is i I plan to go strictly hawg hunting and have plans to throw a 10 inch swim bait all day.I hear there are some big bass in that lake.

Tips: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!I the wind ain't blowing a good 15MPH orget it. That water is so clear it needs a big chop to break things up. There are alot o limit size bass around the shore all over the lake but they are damn near impossible to catch. The ish at Los Banos are probably the smartest ish in the state. LOLI someone knows how to consistently catch ish out there besides during pre-spawn please post some tips.

    Water Temp: 69

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Buddy and I decided to ish Los Banos or the irst time and we got the boat in the water around noon. Within a hal hour we caught on largemouth around 3 1/2# on a 10 inch power worm. Fished or about another hour or two without a bite. The wind started blowing hard and there were gusts atleast in the 40 mph range. We kept ishing and caught another bass around 2 1/2# on a Dances's eel.We motored back around the launch area and caught one about 2# on a pop-r. The wind made it real diicult to ish the lake especially in a 15 aluminum boat.
    City: Modesto

Tips: I've heard the lake is generally tough and I would assume the reason is because the lake is ull o every type o cover imaginable.I would concentrate on ishing the hydrilla around ten eet deep with plastics, spider jigs or large gitzits or larger ish. Fish the tule walls with sencos or limit ish. Topwater ishing looks real promising but not today. Get there early especially on a weekend!!!

    Water Temp: 61

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Wie & I took 4 yr. old grandson out at 8 am to 12 pm. He got to reel in six average 12" to 14" largemouth & one 2 lb. Crappie. He couldn't reel in the 4 lb. largemouth so helped the wie net it. Hooked one other 5+ bass but it made a run into a nearby weed bed then shook the hook. 15 to 20 mph wind help scatter the algae bloom but made boat control a little tougher. All ish came split shotting plastics. No takers on spinner bait.
    City: Delhi

Tips: Most ish appeared to be aggressive males either preparing beds or guarding them? Todays color o choice or majority o ish was june bug. 4" curly tails or small crawdad imitations.

Switched to split shot 4" green weenie style worms & had a limit in the boat by 9:15 w/the biggest going 2 1/2 lbs.. Missed a couple drop shotting 1st a shad pattern luke & then a morning dawn curly tail. Dead or the next couple o hours & then mid-lake picked up three dinks & two more 13 inchers.

    Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: My son & I ished rom irst light until 12:30 pm. I started w/craw pattern crank bait & he started w/a pig n jig. Nothing or the 1st hal hour so we switched & slowly worked t-rigged plastics. Boated sixteen keepers and three dinks. Keepers averaged 2-2 1/2 lbs. Very light bite & we missed at least a 1/2 dozen pickups. Did catch one on a shad pattern crank bait.
    City: Delhi

Tips: Slowly ish shad or craw pattern worms in deeper water. I you eel mushy pressure set the hook because the ish were giving us about 1/3 o a second beore they'd spit the bait.

    Water Temp: 74.6

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Quick trip mainly to just get out & wet a line, get away & rest the mind. My wie & I had a good time on the water w/ew distractions. I guess the keeper ish knew it was just a little quiet time we needed ater this past week so they let us alone. We got three decent bites between us on split shot green weenies & motor oil curly tail worm but missed them rom lack o concentration. Dinks were plentiul everywhere chasing shad. Hooked about ten >12" on an Ivanhoe splash it crystal wht. top water & split shot green weenies. Fished the dam, south side across rom the day camp, & tulles across rom the creek mouth. On the water at 7 am & o by 11 am. Talked to a couple other boaters who were concentrating on ishing more than us & they hadn't hooked any keepers either.
    City: Delhi

Tips: Only can tell you how to hook the dinks today. Top water or the dinks chasing shad then split shot green weenie worms or motor oil curly tail worms where there is no surace activity.

    Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: 6 am started at the N end o the dam & worked its length w/top water, cranks, & worms or two strikes on Shad Rap & 1 dink on split shot 6" purple death worm. Headed to N bank W side o day camp & worked it to the blus again w/top water, cranks, & worms w/same results but this time my wie boated the dink using a 4" motoroil culy tail worm. Moved to the west side o the creek mouth still ishing the N bank & worked it to the upper end. Our son got several hits that seemed to be very small bass on a golden shiner color 4" Fluke. Headed to south bank tules across rom creek mouth & we all boated a couple more dinks & I caught one 12 1/2" keeper using 4" green weenie style worm split shotting. The biggest thing hooked all day was when I slipped tryin to change my crank bait & ran the rear treble past the barb into the meat o the tip o my middle inger. My wie & son wanted to cut the line & throw me back since I was just a big trash ish but they let me sit down & slowly push the barb orward until it was exposed so I could bend it down then back it out so long as I promised not to whimper to loud & interupt their ishing.
    City: Delhi

Tips: Water level has dropped 4' to 5' since July. Talked to a guy who boated 4 keepers to 4 lb. & he caught them early working the tules & weed beds in 10' o water at S end across rom creek mouth using top water & jerk baits.
