Tips: Pre spawn is coming. Bites were explosive and sudden. Hang on to your rod. I use power pro line with locarbon leaders.Maybe that's why the bites elt so good. two oot leaders worked good. Must be wood present or move on. Had to be watermelon color. Aqua view showed lots o ish 12 inches o the bottom moving around relating to wood. We averaged one good ish an hour. Wasted time ishing between coves. When the wind comes up throw white spinnerbaits or rettle traps in mud line driting with the wind.

    Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: ishing the dam area is producing nice ish around 50' mark.the ish seem to be staging or the spring due to the nice weather. Mark your calendar, McClure/March 9th/Glenda 892-5252. Try a circuit without a membership ee (one time only @ McClure)The lake has dropped a little in preparation or the snow melt. So the ish are a little suspended, drop-shot/grub time. I think you will be pleasantly suprised @ the generous pay back, and people who listen to the angler, with a boat at the end.
    City: Hughson

Tips: Slice leaches and mop-top Yamamoto's seem to be getting the job done. Shad patterns

Report: Fish our small club tournament on Sat. Overcase all day with rain moving in later in the day. My partner and I concentrated on the main lake points across rom the boat launch (Barrett). I managed 4 ish right o the bat. All ish were along a steep rock and mud bank with some treee stumps. Ran down to Temprance area but did have much luck there. Ran over to the east side o the lake towards Horseshoe and ish the trees just beore the entrance to the creek to the south. Picked o another 3 or 4 ish. Fish seemed to be close to shore and would hit lightly. Just a tick in the line but no movement. I you set too soon, you'd rip the tail o. I caught all my ish on 6" green weenie worms. I'm guessing most ish were in the 15'-20' range. TOtal count 9 ish, 8 were keepers. Culled or best 5, two over 16", two about 15" and one over 14".
    City: San Ramon

Tips: I had luck in the 10-20' range near steep rock and mud banks. Fish would hit as the worm was pulled o the little stair step banks. Later in the day we ish a broad deep lat with old trees. Fish were not concentrated. I had best luck with green weenie worm.
