Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Tossed worms from 7am to 11 am today, didn't do so good this trip. Just couldn't find the fish, other then the basic one here and there fishing. Only got 11 spots today, all the basic 13-14". Wondering where are the fish today. All fish taken off points in about 30 ft of water. No cove fish,or boulder fish. Better days next week.
City: MagaliaTips: Anyone with a boat looking for a fishing partner?? let me know and lets go fishing. Email me at [email protected] No boat, then lets take my little 14ft klamath, no room, slow, rough, but it catches fish.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Tossed worms from 7am to about 11am, a little slower bite today, with 22 spots. Only one larger one right at 15 1/2", good part, 3/4 of the fish were 14-14 1/2" size, very few smaller ones. Fish were on the move, some old honey holes, no fish!! Fish were in the 25 foot to 35 foot range, seemed most right at 30 foot. Fish slow, slow and in the range above and you will catch fish.
City: MagaliaTips: Anyone with a boat looking for a fish partner, let me know, lets go catch fish. Email me at [email protected] No boat, then lets take my 14ft Klamath, slow, no room, rough ride, but it catches fish as good as the big rigs, just takes longer to go after the fish.

All fish came from 25-35 feet of water, with the larger fish on the deeper side. Fish were not in the mood to bite well today, big old moon all night.
City: MagaliaTips: Anyone with a boat looking for a fish partner, let me know and lets hook up and catch some fish. Email me at [email protected] No boat, then lets take my little 14ft Klamath, rough ride, slow, no room, but it catches fish.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: launched about 6:15 am and off in the dark lake, with my running lights. Tossed worms as always, 20-35 foot down. Slower day today for some reason. Total fish just 24 today. One nice 18" spotted bass, one 15 1/2", one 15", two 14", way off from my past trips. No idea why the bite was slower, better fish days ahead.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished today from 6:30 am to 11 am. Cloudy with sprinkles of rain off and on, nothing serious. Managed to land 27 fish this trip, from fishing two locations. Spotted bass for three 17 inch, one 15 1/2 inch, one 15 inch, three 14 inch, with the rest of the bass at 10-13 inch.Great fishing with nearly every cast a bite. Lost a couple fish that had the BIG feel, but never saw them. Got all fish tossing worms in 20 to 35 feet. Most fish 25-30 foot deep. Fish slow as if you know herds of fish are below below you. Just about all my fishing was on a 1/8 oz. Carolina rig, drop shot style, with the YoYo action. Let it sit, pull up, let down, hit bottom, crank it up a tad to avoid hang up, sit, etch, like a yoyo. Works!!!
City: MagaliaTips: Anyone with a boat looking for a fish partner, let me know and lets go catch fish. Email me at [email protected] No boat, then we can take my small 14ft Klamath, rough ride, no room, slow, but it catches fish, sometimes better then the big rigs.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished today at Lake Oroville from 6:30 am to 11 am, fair day for a change. Managed to catch 36 fish today. Spotted bass measured as One 18 inch, one 17 inch, three 16", four 14 inch, with the rest 10-13 inch. Fished at 20 to 40 foot down to catch them. Also got one 6 pound catfish, two 4 pound catfish, two 2 pond catfish. Released all to catch another day. So smoky from the fires that it looked like fog for a while.
City: MagaliaTips: If you find fish, stick in that location for a while, you'll catch more fish. 3/4 of my fish came from one location!! fished one location for 3 hours in a 40 foot section of shore. All fish today from 20 foot to 40 foot, most 25 to 30 foot.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished at Lake Oroville today, on the water at 6:15 am, off the water a little later then normal, about 11 am. I managed to catch 26 fish, 25 were spotted bass, one 17 1/2", two 16", two 15", 4-5 14 1/2" with the rest 8-13". About 6-8 were dinks, under 10". Fished slow and deeper, all fish caught 20-35 feet, most 25-30 feet. Find steep points, rocks, any good structure holds fish.

Water Temp: Forgot to look!
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Had my best ever fishing day today, not quantity, but for size and total weight. I got 17 spotted bass along with 4 cat fish. 2 spotted bass at 18", one 17", one 16", one 15", with all others 13 to 14 1/2". Enough weight to win most fishing tournaments on this lake. Best part, I only fished till 10 am. Lost a couple that felt big, but never saw them to know for sure how big. Cats were 6 pounds, 4 pounds, 2 at 2 pounds. Fished only one 40 foot section of the lake till 10 am and then called it a day. All fish 20 to 30 feet down.
City: MagaliaTips: If you find fish, stick in the spot and give it a good work over. Generally, one fish has buddies waiting to be caught. Slow down and give a location a chance to produce fish. I see so many working a bank like it's on fire, SLOW it down, you'll catch more.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched about 6 am and off the water at 11 am. Much better day today then last trip. 19 fish total,1 16", 1 15", most of the rest 12-14
", with a few dinks under 10". Also got 2 catfish, 1 at 5 pounds, 1 at 4 pounds. Looked like total of 6 boats on the water. I caught a spotted bass for the second time today. Nice fish, but noticed a second line coming out of his mouth, got my hook out and then the second one and saw it was a rig I use, not many other do, so retried the hook and bobber stopper for my Carolina rig to use again. So yes, they are caught more then once by the same fisherman.!!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished 4 hours today, just did ok. Tried all new areas fishing for a change. Ended up with only 8 fish total. 2 fish from one location, 6 fish from the other location. Biggest a 15" spot, all other spots right at 14", lost the big one at the boat just before I could net it. Looked to be about a 16" or so. Also got one 13" large mouth. All fish I got were deeper, 25-30 foot range. No bites at all after 10:30 am, so gave it up and called it a day.

Water Temp: 78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I fished a half day today at Lake oroville. Not a great day, but I did manage to catch 14 fish. One nice 16" spotted bass, one 15" large mouth bass, one 14" small mouth, 9 basic 13-14" spots, 3 catfish, small ones at a couple pounds each. Super windy made fishing tough, especially the ride back to the launch in choppy waters, bounce ya to death in my little boat. Got most of the spots from one location, great honey hole. Bigger fish tended to be deeper.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched today at Bidwell marina 6am, fished till 10:30 am, in an attempt to learn the main lake and middle fork for a few hours. First time fishing this section of lake. Did ok, got 10 spots, all at 13-14" and really fat ones, felt big, but not. Also a nice 7.5 pound catfish on 6 pound line. Nice fish. Released all fish to catch again one day. Main lake seems so barren, even middle fork seems that way too to me.

Report: Worst day ever fishing today. Think it was the weather, thunder storms on the area, tried to rain, high and lows pressure from the weather. I only managed 11 fish today. 3 catfish at about 2 pounds each, one tiny 11" small mouth, 7 spotted bass, 2 at 14", the rest 10-13" Where did the fish go today, beats me!! Lime saddle launch ramp will shut down in a day or two. BUMMER for me. Looks like Bidwell is it till the lake comes up again. Looks like I'll be learning the main lake and middle and south forks now.

Water Temp: 79-81
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Been away for a long time and thought I would take a moment to give a report. I have never been much of a summer time, deep, clear water lake guy, sticking to Clear lake and Delta. However, that will change. Oroville threw a nice surprise at me on Sat. fished from 7-3PM and had to have boated at least 60 fish. * were over the slot, but the majority were in the 12-14 inch range. Great top water in the AM and plastics in the afternoon. The bite was not too deep. 5-25 feet. They ate everything. Pulled well on 4 and 6 pound test.
City: RosevilleTips: Don't get to creative. Toss your favorite rig. They were spitting up sculpins and smelt so browns and shad patterns worked well. The whole lake was holding fish, but some points and walls were loaded where others would just kick out a fish or two.

Report: Went fishing today with Jeff, launched at Bidwell about 6 am. Funny, Tuesday it was so hot it nearly made me stop fishing for the summer, today it actually got cold when running the boat!! Today, Jeff got the biggest spotted bass, a nice FAT 16" fish. We got a couple other nice ones, had to be close to 15" mark. Most fish were 12-14", with a few 8-11 inches. I Got a nice catfish about 4 pounds. Overall we did good, got somewhere between 30-40 fish as a guess. Lost count and can only guess now, forgot my score card and pen!! Stopped fish a tad past 10 am. Thanks Jeff, nice trip.

Water Temp: 80
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Damn is it ever hot these days. Fished today with Jeff, launched at Lime saddle and fished the North Fork area. We managed 45 fish total, with only one spot at 15" and a couple at 14". the rest of the fish about 8-13". We also got a few catfish, 3 in the 1-2 pound range, hooked and to the boat 2 in the 5 pound range, never got them on the boat. Guess I'd better get a landing net!!! Looks like the ramps at Lime saddle and the damn will only be in operation about another week or so. Water coming down 1 foot a day or so. Thanks for fishing with me Bill.

Water Temp: 79
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out with Jeff and his grandsons? 10-12yrs old? forgot :>) and had a blast, total count on fish 54 and only 3-4 were caught after 10:30 am. Soon as the sun began to get towards late morning the bite was gone. Of the 54 fish, one was a 17" small mouth, one 17 1/2" spotted bass, 2-3 16" spots and 2-3 15" spots, maybe 4!! hard to remember exact. Also got 3-4 cat fish, largest about 4 pounds. While going to get the trailer, one of the boys got a nice silver salmon (coho), didn't measure it, but looked to be 20" to 24" fish, a real nice fat one. Of all the fish, the salmon was the only one to go home, all others released to catch another day. The boys want to fish next year when they visit, me too. Thanks Jeff, great fishing trip. FISH ON, me I call them all TUNA
City: MagaliaTips: Anyone with a boat looking for a fish partner, let me know, I'm available most of the time. Email me at [email protected] and lets go catch fish. No boat, then we can take my small 14 foot Klamath, small but it catches fish.

Water Temp: 79-80
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I went fishing at Lake Oroville today and did pretty good for a short trip, off the water at 10:30 am. Managed 27 fish, One nice 18" spotted bass, about 3 1/2 pounds. One 16" and one 15" with all others 8-14", average about 13". 2 were large mouth, about 13", and 2 small mouth about 13". Also got two nice catfish, one at 6 pounds, the other at 5 pounds. First fish was a nice 3/4 pound sunfish, big for sunfish. Fish were deeper today, 20-25 feet down, think it's because the water is 79-80 degrees at the surface. They go deep to find water that feels better to them. Next trip Thursday with Jeff, taking his grand kids out and teach them to fish.
