Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Dana and I fished a half day 7-12 noon today to try out my new hummingbird. Even though I spent lots of time learning the hummingbird, we still managed only 7 spots, nothing of any size. Water is warming a tad more, up to 59-60 degrees. Most fish on dark roboworms early, lighter as the day went on. Fish came out of 15-30 feet of water. Be careful, wood all over and hard to see it at times.

Report: Caught my personal best ever fish in Oroville today. A giant 20 inch, 4.25 pound spotted bass hog. Got it on a curly tail roboworm in 20 feet of water. Got 8 other spots, 2 16", 2 14 1/2" with the rest 13-14" Great day on the water for me. Let the hog go in Lime Saddle to grow bigger.

Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Dana loaned me his boat, so took it out and launched at Lime saddle about 7am and fished till noon. Bite is improving as the water warms. I ended up with 15 spots, 2 right at 15", 2 right at 14 1/2" with all the rest at 13-14". All fish in 5 feet to 25 feet of water on various curly tail roboworms. About 50% on Texas rig, about 1/4 of the fish on drop shot, 1/4 on shaky heads. Best color today was Salt & Pepper Chart, New Ayu worked well too. I'm not fishing as slow as the winter bite, and giving baits more action.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Lime Saddle this morning, right as the sun began to lighten the sky a tad. Windy, windy, super hard to hold the boat in position. I ended up with 7 spots, nothing of any size, all 13-14" with one right at 14 1/2" All fish 10 to 30 foot of water. Fat Roboworms did the trick, darker colors.

Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished today with Jeff, launching at the spillway about 8:20 or so. Launch has 2 docks again, about 6 lanes for the busy days. We did ok, considering the white caps and wind. Damn did it ever blow today. We ended up with 5 spots, all clones right at 15". We would have done better but I lost 3 fish after hooking them, they just came off half way to the boat!!! Fish all caught in 10-25 feet of water, roboworms, bold bluegill did the trick today, half the fish on shaky heads and the others on drop shots.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Dana loaned my his boat so I had to get out today. Launched at Lime Saddle about 6am, off the lake at noon. Slow bite for me, only got 4 spots, 13-14" or so. Water pretty dirty in some areas, almost like mud!! Water has risen now 31 feet as of yesterday and news reported water had risen 3 feet in 24 hours right after the rain. Last look, were 168 feet below full pool. Fished several baits, with roboworms getting all fish.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished yesterday with Leo. Slow day for us, dirty water and rising water really slowed the bite for us. Leo managed 2 spots, both right at 1.5 pounds. Me o fish!! Leo also managed to hook a salmon on a roboworm. Great fight, took about 5 minutes to land the fish. Fish was 6-8 pounds and looking good. Released to catch it another day. Me, tried all types of baits, it didn't help me. Leo got his fish on roboworms, in about 30ft of water. We fished deep, shallower, still no bited for me. It sure makes for a long day when you don't catch fish. My first ever skunked day!!!

Moved to a few spots in the main lake and managed 3 spots, average size. Wood is beginning to float, so be careful. Fished mostly roboworms, texas and drop shot. Better days are coming so get ready!! Lake appears to have come up 7-10 feet by today. Just need 190 feet more :>)

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished from about 8:30 am to 1 pm. Bad day, strong winds and white caps early when we launched. The further into the north fork, less winds and nearly glass like. Couldn't get fish to take anything. All Jeff and I managed were a 13-14 inch each, 2 fish the whole trip. Saw 3 large spots chasing my bait near the end of the trip, still couldn't get them to hit. Better luck next time.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Shore fished today at Lime Saddle. The reason the ramp is shut down is that the cement ran out on the ramp, dirt at about 6 feet out in the water. First cast a nice 14 1/2 small mouth, super nice golden brown color, best color small mouth I have caught. Managed 3 more spots, all typical 13-14 inch size. Caught all on roboworms on a texas rig. Let at 8:45, it was getting hot!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sunday with Leo,ABA tournament. Launched about 7:15 am, cold and water down 192 feet!! Bite was fair, we managed 5 fish for the tournament, but actually got somewhere between 12-15 fish, culled all the smaller ones. We ended up with 5 fish just under 7 pounds, one nice 2 1/2 pound, another 2 pounds, another a fraction under 2 pounds with the others right in the 1 to 1 1/2 pounds. We finished mid pack, with the large fish of the day 4.10 pounds. Best spot I have ever seen before. Winner of the event was 10.5 pounds or so, can't remember exact weight. Fish are deep, 30ft to 60ft where we got most fish, with our last fish the big one in 25ft of water near the docks while waiting to come in to weigh fish. Great trip Leo, thanks.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Jeff and I launched at the spillway about 8am. Ramp is down to one lane now due to low water levels. We owned the lake, only one other boat launched and only saw 2 boats while fishing. We managed 6-7 spots, they seem to be getting bigger. one nice fat 16 1/2" a couple 15 to 15 1/2" a couple 14 1/2" and a little 13" dink. We fished 35 to 50ft, with most coming from about 40ft or so. Drop shot roboworms and work them slow as can be. Jeff lost one huge hog right at the boat, had to be over 3 pounds, maybe even 3.5 pounds. Me I lost a nice one half way up that felt like it had a lot of weight to it, just never saw it.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: No fishing lately, everyone thinks it's too cold to be on the lake!!!! Not really, just cool and after a couple hours and it's fine.
WATER LEVEL is slowing the drop a bit. The lake is down to 187 feet below full pool. The drop seems to be slowing way down now that they slowed water release a tad. Should improve the bite some, but have not tested it out for a while.

Report: Shore fished at Lime Saddle from about 7am to 9am. Super windy morning, still managed to catch 4 spots. No large fish, all 13-13". Found 2 dead salmon on the backs that must have been 6-8 pounds, big dudes. Lake still coming down, must be over 180 feet down now, or close to 190 feet down. Caught all spots on Texas rigs with brown roboworms.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Ronnie and I fished today, about 1/2 trip main lake, other half beginning of the north fork area. Kind of slow bite today, old age memory, but not sure exactly, 7-8 fish for the day. First fish nice fat 16" on a point, about 30ft water, second fish nearly a clone, same point, just shy of 15", fat and looking good, all other fish 13-14" for the day. The rest of the morning slow, fish here and there, nothing to get excited about. Perfect weather for fishing. Most fish caught on drop shot rigs, and roboworms. Thanks for the great trip Ronnie. Oh, almost forgot, Ronnie got hung up in the rocks, moved to get it clear, got it cleared and with line still in hand got a bite and landed a small, small mouth all by hand, just like the very early days of fishing with hand lines.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Jeff and I launched at the spillway about 7:15am, fished till about noon. We managed 8-9 spotted bass with one location giving us 5 fish, with 2 right at 15". Dead calm early, then WIND the rest of the morning. Caught most fish drop shoting or with stand up shaky heads rigged with roboworms. Most fish 30-40ft of water. Not a great bit, but we managed a few fish. Looks like the lake went down another 10ft, just a single launch lane now at the spillway. Has to be close to 180ft down.
