Water Temp: unsure
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Showed up at McCabe's point at about 4pm yesterday fishing off of bank with two buddys and immediately got hits from slotty-spottys and smaller spots on small worms fished slowly- basically dragged-on split shots and carolina rigged-color did not seem to matter but we used reds and pinks mostly. Hits came between 20ft out up about 5 ft out. Also got repeated hits from same fish with different worms. Obviously fish are finally coming up to stage on points but females did not appear to have many eggs yet. Fished into the trees but bite seemed to stop inside of coves and most bites on points or on depth changes of flats. Hopefully fat largemouths and bigger spots will show up later in moon cycle. Water way way down-need some rain to be more productive. Also caught a fat 3lb female largemouth in pond at wildlife area sunday that was about three quarters full of eggs- Afterbay anyone?
City: OrovilleTips: Drag skinny worms slow at lake oroville for spots-If you catch a largemouth increase size of worm and hook for incoming females. Want bigger fish-try afterbay and ponds or get a guide and hit the delta. Good luck and remember to always practice catch and release to live to fight another day!

Water Temp: 44-50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: As I thought would happen, the fishing got better as the week progresed. The water temps are rising slowly with 55 degrees the high in the South Fork, Main Body temps from 44-50, North Fork from 43-48. Saturdays Anglers Choice Tournament produced many 10lb, limits and the top weight was 11.6lbs. Most of the bass came from the slot, main body and the south parts of the lake. Drop shot with Robo Worms, Gitzits in green, clear sparkle, and motor oil, Paradise Tackle jigs in green, brown/purple and black/blue and dart head worms produced most of the bites. The reaction bite is still soft. Next weeks bite should get even better.
City: ParadiseTips: Bites came in 5-10 ft. down to 50ft. Points and walls leading into coves produced bites.

Water Temp: New boat no gra
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Bite started slow. One in the first half hour. After that not one for two hours. Lots of swimbait bites but no takers. As the afternoon and sun got up things picked up. 17 in the boat with many missed bites. Best five going 7.2. First outing in the new boat and the first time on Oroville in about six months. Hope the bite picks up soon! I miss those 100 fish days!
City: SacTips: Fish SLOW!!! Bite is super soft! Fish with your back against the sun. (warm side of the bank) Today Tubes were the trick. Best of all get out and enjoy this weather!

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Afterbay this morning.
Very limited action on a picture perfect day. Thought the 4 days of warm weather would turn them on. Not quite yet. Threw grubs, senkos, worms and spinner baits. 3 fish total. Main lake is up about 20' since January 1. Still down 180'. Should turn on in a week or so.

Water Temp: 42- 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The last 2 days were really hit and miss. The lake is still very spotty. Most of the bass are in a suspended state at 50 ft. Main body producing hits at 50ft. with jigs and the Middle Fork and North Fork producing with jigs and tubes. We came up on one spot on a long steep wall and caught 13 bass in just over an hour with 4 over. This next week of warm weather should help the bite. The Spots should start stageing in front of coves now and start moving into their spawning mode. We have already found some with mud on their belly's.
City: ParadiseTips: Keep fishing differnt spots until you find feeding bass. The afternoon has been fishing better. It could be timeing or the water is warmer or both.

Water Temp: 42-49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I went out to do some pre fishing Wednesday. Thought I would just focus on the Main Body. The morning bite was pretty good concidering the full moon and a new cold front that came in. The afternoon bite was non exsistant. The usual jigs and tubes provided the hits but the presentation was still very slow. This weekend should acually be better but the weather will be very windy and rainy.
City: ParadiseTips: Keep fishing very slow.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Water Temp: 39-45
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Lots of tournaments both club and pro this weekend. The bite on Sat. was really soft. A lot of the guys came in without full bags. Won Bass winner had around 9 1/2 lbs. Sundays bite was a lot better for some and not so good for others. The top weight for Sundays Anglers Chioce tournanment was 11.80. The Main Body produced more full bags and also the Middle Fork. The South Fork was still disapointing. Jigs, dart head worms and tubes did the best over all. A few on swim baits and a few on lipless crank baits. The Lake should turn on after the rain coming in this week. It should warm the water temp. up and also provide in-flow that we don't have right now.
City: ParadiseTips: Keep fishing slow

Water Temp: 44-49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished two back to back club tourneys on Sat and Sun. Sat only 1 team out of 12 cought a limit. Bite was very slow and reaction bite was off, however, the key was to find fish within the fist three hours of daylight because the bite was done by 10am.. All of our fish were caught on brown or green tubes, some teams caught a few on worms and jigs on sat but most fish were caught on tubes. Big fish for Sat was a little over 3lbs. and winning weight was just under 10lbs with five fish over the slot. Sun was a better bite for some teams and there were 2 limits weighed in out of 16 boats. Big fish was a 3.77, first place was just under 11lbs, and second was just behind by a few ounces. Both limits had all fish over the slot. There were reaction fish caught in the morning before the sun hit and then the bite shut off. Some teams reported catching several of their fish later in the day which also showed improvement over Sat.. All in all it wasn't too bad considering the water level of the lake and the temps, but it was definetly the slowest bite we've seen in a while for our tourneys.
Tips: Fish slow in the 15'-40' range-fish are scattered and hard to graph, but once you find a few they will bite in the mornings. Use tubes, jigs, and reaction baits. No real pattern as far as location or type of structure.

Water Temp: 39-44
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: We started fishing around 9am this morning looking for some new water with feeding bass. We fished the West Branch, Main body and the North Fork. We found bass in all the locations but the bite was still soft. We took hits on jigs, tubes and lipless crank bait. We caught 11 for the day with 5 over. The biggest was 2-1/2 lbs. on a lipless crank bait about 15-20ft. deep. The jig bite was the best during the day at about 40ft. but lost a few as the bites were very subtle. Jig colors in green&brown, black&blue, and brown&purple and the tube color was clear sparkle. The reaction bite was great to see using shad color lipless crank bait. We talked to other boats out there and with only one other bass.
City: ParadiseTips: We found the afternoon bite was better as the water did warm up a bit. The key for us was to fish very slow.

Water Temp: 41- 42
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: took a trip out today late start got on the water around 2:15 basically just running the boat in the nice weather. decided to run up the middle fork but just stayed at the mouth due to wake boarders? hit the vertical walls on the south side no takers switched to the north side on the sandy areas and stsrted to catch fish in the 25 to 30 foot range used a shakey head with a yamamoto cut tail worm in watermelon red ended up with six two over all the rest in
City: grass valleyTips: with the water so cold go slow real slow and fish the warmest water possible the mud will not get real warm for another few days of good weather but the granite sand is conducting heat well right now good luck and always try reaction early morning it should turn on any day now

Water Temp: 42 - 45
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went up the Middle fork looking for big spawning salmon. Saw no sign of fish. Went up into 4' of water and also looked near the falls...no luck. Caught one 10" trout on a Super Duper half way back. Tried graphing both sides near the bridge for bass and still no sign. Went back to the main lake near the island...no bass sign. Went half way up Potter's Cove...no sign. Saw a few in the Bidwell Marina. Spent some time looking at the campsites at Bidwell...anyone have any info on the Lime Saddle sites? Not impressed with Bidwell camping.
City: SactoTips: The little man in the boat says "when it's cold, a slow even presentation will provide more pleasing results".

Water Temp: 35-44
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I havn't done any reports in the last few weeks because the fishing hasn't been vary good. The cold weather has droped the water temp down to 35f were the water is coming in to 44f in the shallows and next to rocks in the afternoon. With the nice weather forcast this week, the fishing should get better. All of the ramps are open now with the water level at 711 ft. Tusedays trip produced 5 bass with 4 over and a bunch of salmon. We fished the West Branch and the North Fork. I talked to 4 other boats Tuseday and they had 1 bass between them. We used senkos in pumpkin color and cinnamon jigs with 3/8 and 1/2 once football jig hooks.
City: ParadiseTips: With the water temps so cold, we fished very slow.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Took a great guy and his nephew from New York, out here for Thanksgiving. We fished the West Branch, North Fork, and the slot in the main body. Took bass on tubes, drop shot, and the blade bite was on as well. We fished the mud lines and took bass from the bank to about 20 feet.
