    Water Temp: 79'

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Wow, been a long time since I posted anything. Even though the lake is down over 100'. and the temp is way up. With the boat traffic and all. My most recent fishing trip was pretty good. My friend Bryce of MGM lures and I launched from the dam and fish the Backbone area till noon. we had approx.30 fish to 3 lbs. with several 2 lbrs. Top water sucked in the early going, but a darter head 5" senko produced all the fish. in 28-34 ft.
Did I mention a new Bass club in Redding? It's called "Fishers of Men". It's a Christain based Sportsmans club. We meet the first wed. of every month at 6 pm. and fish the 2nd sat.

    Water Temp: 75-79 degrees

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: The reaction bite has been very good in the Pit River Arm with spinnerbaits, cranks, ripbaits and topwater. Better topwater choices included Vixens, Zara Spooks or Sammy's. Chartreuse and white spinnerbaits or chartreuse and purple crankbaits in the mud lines are also working well. Lucky Craft Staysee 90's in ghost minnow or chartreuse shad are favored for the rip bite. Worms and jigs worked on main lake points in the 15 to 30 ft range have been picking up some fish. Spotted bass and an occasional smallie were taken with fish averaging up to 1

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Houseboating with a put-put fishing boat tied to the back and got only 13 hours of fishing time during the week of 6/20 to 6/26. Took 27 spots and 2 smallies. Every trip out in the small boat no matter the time of day resulted in fish and everyone that went caught something. Most trips an hour - give or take. Great time on/in the water even with the smoke from wildfires all around and socked in like fog.
    City: Medford, OR

Tips: Drifted over main and secondary points almost 100% in every arm of the lake. Lake was way down at about -80 feet. Used combination of bleeding shad Rattle Traps, shad pattern medium-deep Rapalas, a gold/purple popper, darter heads w/ rainbow or green/blue Robo Worms, and BG Spider Jigs in smoke, blue flake smoke, and white. Photo available. Biggest fish went to a 2.5 spot, several 2.0's and the rest dinks. Size didn't matter this week, just fish on the line and happy kids!

Report: Went out early. Found a great early topwater bite on the small punker. Just fishing points. there seemed to be fish on every point. Landed some beautiful spots. I went with a bigger bait to eliminate the smaller bites. Hey it worked.
    City: Davis

Tips: Fish as many points as possible. throw across the point and have fun.

    Water Temp: 69-80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Tough to stay cool but the bite was "HOT". 2 days @ 50+ fish. Most fish in the 13-16" range with a few dinks thrown in. Small, lite baits (tiny tubes, lizards)were the ticket.
    City: Reno

Tips: watch your line for subtle differences in fall rate....this always indicates a fish on.

    Water Temp: unknown-but waa

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: so i waited till the people were done playing.afternoooon was off the hook.my partner and i were doubled more than not,,,i threw a pop-r and he threw a spook,we both had a rod with a sinko, and would throw it at the bigger blow-ups when they would just slap the lure, most of the bigger fish are.so if you want some slightly bigger fish throw something that wont make a big splash....
    City: redding -------clear-lake

Tips: all right -you need to find the shady shore line first thing, when the shade starts to hit the water the type of shore line wont matter.,,,,{.so save your best shore line for a little latter-when the whole lake is shaded .}did trick two over 16 "

    Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just got back from brutally hot weekend fishing club 2-day'er. Caught dozens of spotted bass, most in the 10-12 inch range. Every 20th fish or so was a keeper (13+).

Tips: Topwater bite good on spooks from sun-up to about 7 o clock. After that, try 4" robo worms, power craws, or lizards, rigged texas-style w/ very light bullet sinker, fished against rocky ledges, retrieved slowly, twitched very slightly. All these types of baits are SMALL but very effective this weekend. To go after bigger ones, try wacky senkos against larger trees further from shore. You'll get more action with the aforementioned smaller baits, however.

    Water Temp: 66-78

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Spent 3 1/2 days on the lake running up and down the Sac arm and the McCloud. Found a great top water bit in the morning up to 2.5 lbs. Caught a lot of fish on senkos near the shore then a crankbait along the mud lines in the afternoon. Caught a 5.3 pound spot on a speedtrap at 2 pm in the dirty water near the shore line.
    City: Rohnert Park

Tips: Top water early and crankbaits along the mud lines in the afternoon. Great time to take the kids fishing because you'll catch a lot of fish.

    Water Temp: 60-64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just got back from Houseboat trip . On the lake 7-11 and fished the Sac and McCloud Arms. The bite was good and improved later in the day as the water temp would rise 3-4 degrees. Most fish were caught off points but some were back in shallow coves starting to nest. Our best were 2-2.5 lbs but most were 10- 12 inches. We threw gitizs, robos and senkos. I threw swimbaits early and late with no takers. The lake level is already at mid summer level and appeared to drop several inches daily. Good Luck

    Water Temp: unknown

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I am going to be at shasta 14-18, I usually do just fine fishing in fact I usually catch more fish than anyone on the houseboat. But I have never fished with the water as low as it is, does it change the places you fish? We usually spend the most time on the pit. But it doesn't relly make any difference to me. I usually just use 4-5" powerworms or sencos and catch a lot of fish.

    Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Spent 4 days on Pit arm with 13 other fishermen on houseboat out of Silverthorn Marina. Wind blew hard every day but fish were still biteing. I went to 1/4 ounce jig heads to get gitzits and worms down in the wind, fish were picking bait up off the bottom plenty of fish.
    City: Penn Valley

Tips: fish sinkos, gitzets, rubber worms, patience throw to bank and let bait sink to bottom before starting your retrive. Most strikes occur on the fall. fish topwater at dusk with pop-r or something similar. water is low but still fantastic fishing. Hope this helps Brandon.

    Water Temp: 52 to 53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished 3 days on the pit. Rain and wind and cold slowed down the bite but managed a couple of fish an hour.Average fish was about 14 inches.caught more fish on the main points of the pit rather than back in the coves.
    City: Penn Valley

Tips: Shakey head worms and gitzets in bright colors worked best 2 to 10 feet deep. No surface action probably because of the sudden drop in water temp. Going back next week and would expect the water to be a few degrees warmer and better fishing.

    Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished a fun tourney with the U.S. Forest Service over the weekend. We were the only team from So Ca. As usual, we went in blind, with the exception of info and baits from Phil's Prop; this is an exceptional shop with some very helpful people. As recommended, we threw tubes and worms in 5 -20- ft. for plenty of fish. One color tube worked so well we had to return after day 1 to re-load. A lot of fish were shallow, however, most were small and not keepers. Bigger fish came out of water from 20 - 40 feet on the dropshot and underspin. When we caught bigger fish shallow, it was on either a wacky jig or drop-shot senko. Overall though, the fish that made it to the scales came on the underspin; bigger fish, HOWEVER, not a lot of bites - you gotta keep chucking and winding for the reaction bite from the deeper females. After the 2 day tourney we placed 14th out of over 100 teams. We felt very fortunate for being out of the area and not knowing the lake.
    City: Castaic, CA

Tips: Darthead tubes, worms and wacky rigged senkos in 5 - 20 feet. Don't be afraid to go deep for better fish - dropshot blue crawler robos or slow role the underspin in 20 - 50 ft.
